Classic! Fantastic shots, Christopher!
Looks like a fun way to spend an afternoon 👍🏻
T-Cup signing in mate. Keep up the videos :)
thank you :)
I really like the embossed notebooks/journals. Those are very sharp! Cool books on myths and stories... I have a nice collection of myths from various cultures, but it is mostly European, sub-continental, and African; as well as Native American. Cool art and gifts, Christopher!
Thank you my good friend, I am very lucky to be able to have these items, I have embarked on a journey of Japanese myths etc this year with an audiobook about the Yokai and most recently one that started at the beginning with the Elder Kami and their creations Izanami and Izanagi who created (birthed) Japan and the elements etc - I want to understand more culturally about the country and not learn about it purely 1936-45 and through Anime. I feel I can show it the proper respect when running my trains and eventually when I step onto Japanese soil for the very first time :)
Hello, CHristopher! I hope you are having a great time. Saturdays and Sundays are the hardest for me to catch a live! Man, I could have used the chat, too!
It wasn't too bad thank you :) Going to trial a Monday one tonight :)
Well, two distinct variations of a theme. Excellent, my friend!
Hello, Christopher! Awesome T-Shirt! lol And that is a VERY cool train! Sorry, I was out at the shops with Joyce when you were on. :( Hope you had a good time there!
A lovely Spit! NICE!
Yes it was! A lovely sound to hear!
Hi Christopher. Important thing is to run your trains and enjoy them, nice to see them running on your layout. Thank you for sharing buddy. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete....
Thank you Pete, sorry I took so long to respond - you are very right of course!
Awesome models you picked up, but also epic models at the show. Wow!!😊
@@ModelTrainOutsider thank you my friend I will never achieve the level of some of the ones I saw!
No stream last night or did I miss it?
@@JakeJowett-me8eg no I mentioned in yesterday’s video and the mail call one 🙂
@sakuradensha any I'm yet to watch it lol
Hello Christopher! I hope you're well Really nice locos but I really really like the cement wagons!
Just needs to have it start driving 😂
well indeed lol :P
That's a cool model. 😊
it has been a firm favourite to operate since I was a child!
HOLY COW!!!! Birthday, Christmas and more rolled into one. That is an epic haul! I do not know where to start or end. The 2 long passenger trains were just AMAZING. Some of the prettiest I have seen in N scale or any scale, really. I am just blown away. The flat freight containers were definitely different and cool! Some very nice locos and a couple from companies I had not heard of! That was a eye-popper all around, Christopher! Congrats on the picks!
It was a bit like that :) thank you Anthony! Yes the 2 passenger sets are very much the cream of the crop and the one having interior lighting was totally unexpected! :)
I here your a Japanese modeler again Chris
😅
@@sakuradensha going on from something today was it the g2 or g2a thats got the wrong fittings for lnwr? (the bachmann model)
@@JakeJowett-me8eg BTW your first message could be more right than you think lol The L&NWR 0-8-0 right All of the ones Bachmann do are incorrect for L&NWR condition non of them had a Belpaire fire box in that era and the chimney and buffers are of an LMS pattern. The easy way if you ignore the lack of round top firebox is to get the chimney and buffers and replace them then just enjoy as a "as close as you can get" or there is the option to cut the firebox out too and replace with a round top along with the correct safety valves etc :)
Sounds like the blitz here too. Some nice stuff there Christopher
Thanks Brian very happy with them, it does get a bit crazy these days doesn't it?
17:50 its vale of ryhdole
Hiya, Christopher! Quite a discussion and look into your thoughts! It was cool to see the table out and trains running! Collections and our "toys" can have powerful meaning to us and, in the end, we bought them for a reason. Enjoy and do what you will!
Hello good sir, thank you yes, I hope it made some sort of sense! You are very correct in that our toys and that is how I see them alongside models can become very special to us, as you know these represent so much more than just a taste of Japan to me and I guess in a way I have allowed that to influence me more than I perhaps should've but it is also why I understand the importance of keeping somewhere to run them in mind moving forwards :)
Sorry to hear about the stream. I might have been free for this one. Anyhow, I do hope you get feeling better. Very nice wall-hanging. Are you tempted to paint in as a head-on look? Cool book for you, as well! Take care of yourself!
Thank you Anthony, I would be if my artistry was up to the task :) Thank you - you too :)
Also they decided 3 or 4 things to sell one (the modern stuff two sets and industrial 0-6-0) but 9/10 things they are keeping and to keep you guessing I'm going to get one of the surplus things
@@JakeJowett-me8eg cool! No doubt something you can use in 009 lol
@@sakuradensha if I change the coupling but I probably wouldn't would look funny behind my quarry hunslets (I've got a model of dorthea now)
@@JakeJowett-me8eg you got the Lancaster wagon?
No steam? Bugger I've started working and after tonight I finished at 10 lol anyway happy birthday
@@JakeJowett-me8eg thank you
Go on then I have been persuaded!
Awesome interactive! Very cool!
never failed to excite me this!
Hmmm, I thought that loco looked Eastern! :) Nice show and chat, Christopher!
Speaking of Chinese stuff ive started looking at a c2 (2ft loco) lol
very cool!
Yay! Trains... happy trains! Looks like it was nice. Someday, I will be free on a Saturday when you go live.
@@ModelTrainOutsider Yep it was nice to see them run again, I am still just not feeling it in practice but that is all part of finding the next thing that properly resonates with me 🙂 Also one day maybe lol but I feel Major Lennox should answer for that
Oooh, started with a LumO, and I was hooked. The Chinese layout really stood out! The one midway through the video was quite impressive, as well (just before the coach shot). Well done!
@@ModelTrainOutsider I did have you in mind for that shot I must admit lol I even had a play with that Lumo, they had a tablet set up with a sign on it saying have a go, so I did! That’s my style sir! I am in total love with that Chinese layout it is amazing! But yes the early American layout was amazing too especially all the different bridge construction styles!
Hello Christopher I hope you're well Great video i really like the Japanese layout 👍
@@ModelRailwayShed thank you I am getting better I think (hope!) hope you are well too Deano! The locos on that layout do look very similar to Japanese steamers but it is actually Northern China (unsurprisingly I am sure another interest of mine lol) and is a joy to behold with big freight trains and banking operations
nice is there still a stream tomorrow?
@@JakeJowett-me8eg tonight old chap 2100z
@@sakuradensha yep sorry auto correct ive got something to say that u missed out on lol
Wow... quite a interactive experience. Very cool.
I can see what you mean about statfold and I've always wished there was a standard gauge statfold lol closest I would guess would be foxfield or chasewater
Looks good so far! Once the final touches are on, should be brilliant like your planes. Naming it "Monty," eh? Hmmm... I am sure a "Full Monty" joke needs to be made, but I shall resist here.
Ah not a midnight upload a 1am upload 😂
Thought you you said he was dead. He got beeetter 😂 good to hear sir . Sorry about the new job that sucks. As for as ideas you know me anything to do with coal hauling 😂 This Is Coal Country BOY ! 😊 But no really I look forward to seeing what ever you do and you know I'm always here to help my friend. Even if it is orribly oversize 😉 😉
Thank you sir, sorry it took me too long to respond here! Yeah it does and to think I was supposed to start it in 3 days time too. Coal has to feature somewhere and thank you my fine chum for your support and offer of help :) it is super appreciated good sir! I am currently looking at some diesels actually :S LOL
So back to the old job? 😅 Also knowing the direr condition of the n gauge stuff (everything but one loco is running on fumes) I wouldn't be shocked if they were interested in 90% if not all lol also sorry if I came off a big pushy 😅 also is your mosquito behind the pannier somewhere?
@@JakeJowett-me8eg staying with the current one yes lol now they aren’t that bad lol one loco gets very warm and another doesn’t like more than 2 coaches lol the rest be fine - we will see what happens and where they end up. Don’t worry, you didn’t seem pushy at all 🙂 Actually the Mosquito came home but never left the car and ended up surprise surprise being damaged. I am just pleased to have a gauge now at least TT was a good option of course but OO is just so much safer for me
Hmmmm. O seems like a problematic gauge for you. I think you are having post-shows blues. I am... along with a cold that is rollercoastering, and went down again last night and today. 3-way struggles are never good; just ask Germany. LoL. We love you, and you'll smile again when you're ready.
@@ModelTrainOutsider sorry to hear that the cold still has you, O and UK N yes indeed they are problematic and I cannot honestly say whether I feel that I have post show blues or not, I have been reflecting on it and the catalyst for the crash still comes back to the poor quality of UK N Gauge Steam. lol yes I shall hopefully break the siege of this without needing a no step back lol Thank you sir for your continued friendship and support 🙂
My model club is still looking if you were still interested in asking them (just thought u mgiht remind you)
@@JakeJowett-me8eg I will drop a list over if you could be so kind as to let me know where I am sending it? 🙂
@@sakuradensha I would recommend the club sectary you can find his email on the website

@@JakeJowett-me8eg very cool!
Well, that's as honest as you can get.
@@hotdogpilot6319 I felt it important to be as honest as I was so that I can document my ups and downs and hopefully if someone else is in the same situation they can know they are not alone, thank you for watching good sir - the people like yourself are the best part of the hobby 🙂🫡
Im suppirsed about all the n guage not just the 38xx and prairie
@@JakeJowett-me8eg it has to be cut off hard, if I was into diesels enough on their own then maybe it would be ok but I am as I know we have spoken about a steam person, it is what I grew up with thanks to our amazing Heritage Railways
The Special tank looks nice but I can see the problem with price
I've never heard of the axles melting
@@JakeJowett-me8eg yes half a grand before it has been painted is silly money in my book
@@JakeJowett-me8eg yes very strange - only car in the consist it happened to as well
is there any chance you could tell me where i can get the rolling stock seen in this stream?
It is all on the download station I searched JNR and JR, there is a bit to filter through but it is there :) infact this layout is on there too 🙂
Sorry, but I had to watch on replay, as we were building and had some running around to do! Nice chat and running!
That was some epically beautiful footage. It was really nice to see!
@@ModelTrainOutsider thank you Anthony
Hello Christopher The Praire definitely doesn't have the pulling power that the other two locos have. All three locos great lookers.
Hello Christopher! Why is the loco getting so hot?
not the first currently I am afraid, I was warned about this when I had it tested by the N gauge Society so it is a known issue with them - great to find out after you have bought it! lol
Hmmm.... who else makes GWR in N Gauge?
Farish do 2 locos one in a set that I have and the other is pending another run 🙂
Cool comparison. The GWR is a Dapol isn't it?
it is by a reasonably new company Sonic models, the guy who started it though is ex-Graham Farish which makes this issue rather odd
