It's definitely straight!
The fine folks at Woodpeckers Tools sent out the limited release (“one time tool”) 49.5” straight edge rule ahead of the main production run/order fulfillment so that it could be featured in my upcoming workbench build!

When I finally built the fence…
Переглядів 145Рік тому
In this video, I'll be recapping my recent fence building project, which took way longer than it should have due to my terrible habit of procrastination. And let's be honest, my lack of fitness probably didn't help matters either. But despite all of that, I finally managed to build a fence that I'm pretty proud of! It's not perfect, but it's sturdy and looks pretty decent, if I do say so myself...

    As it seemed you had it delivered, I've found that oftentimes skipping that last freight shipment, and picking up in-store, avoids the extra chance for damages. Too bad that freight carriers can't be just a bit more careful.

    How did customer service handle the dent issue ?

    • @CloverWoodDIY
      @CloverWoodDIY 5 місяців тому

      They sent a new hood and control panel assembly. Since it was a series 1, there was a two month back order. Still, they handled it promptly. The replacement even came in with shipping damage so they just ended up sending a whole new series 2 griddle!

    My wheels won’t turn. Is there a lock on them to keep them from turning? It rolls just fine but they won’t turn.

    • @CloverWoodDIY

      Do they turn if you lift the unit up a little? You should have two casters that spin to allow directional movement. If they don’t turn, try a little grease or lubricant into the rotating spots

      Yeah, I’m not sure if they’ll clarify the steps in the manual. I found out that if they’re backward, then when the burner tries to cut back as it reaches temp, it’ll actually cutoff. Easy fix if a burner issue comes up!

    So how has it been since you purchased it? There's one on sale at home Depot. I was considering. Only. It's a two burner like this and I was afraid to purchase one like that. It seems like it's big enough but I know with griddles you can't really use the whole area. With the technology from loco, they seem to insinuate you would be able to because it would keep the griddle at temperature in more locations. I'm just curious if you've been able to use the whole griddle when cooking comfortably, maybe 80%? Or do you really feel like you probably should have gotten a bigger griddle?

      It’s a great griddle! Most of the time I’m cooking for just the misses and me, and there’s plenty of room. I did smash burgers for 16 people back in December and cooked two batches with zero problems other than needing a cylinder swap right in the middle of the cook. You can use the whole surface area but with any griddle, you’re going to have natural hot zones. You just learn to use each griddle based on its characteristics. I absolutely love my LoCo!

    V1 or V2? I have V1, and the front left does not get hot enough to season properly. Verdict is still out on if this is a good buy.

      You will need to supply an extension cord or just simply connect the AC adapter that is provided with the griddle directly to an outside outlet near your cooking area.

      Funny you ask. I was going to do an update soon! Finally got the replacement parts for what was damaged in shipping. Without giving too much away, I’ll say I’m impressed with the service. I’m also really pleased with it and (at the sale price) the overall value. I do wish I had gotten the 36”, but I can do just fine with the 26”. Thanks for watching!

    • @CloverWoodDIY

      An even more recent update - the parts that were sent as replacement were also damaged by the shipping company. When I reached out to LoCo, they told me they’d sent replacement parts out once again and had no problems doing so. What’s funny is that the replacement parts came in the same box as a brand new series 2 26” griddle… and this time they sent it on a large pallet via a freight shipper so it had considerably less damage risk.

    • @CloverWoodDIY

      Once the algae is dead and turned gray, settled to the bottom, you can use a hand vacuum but the waste needs to be discharged instead of going through the filter. I’m not sure if you mean vacuum instead of sweeper, or if you mean brush?

    is acid good for the liner???

    • @CloverWoodDIY
      @CloverWoodDIY Рік тому

      It gets dissolved prior to being added. Putting about 1 part acid to 5 parts water is where I aim. As long as you add the diluted acid to the pool so it doesn’t splash, it will be totally fine. If you think about the pH change in a 7,000 gallon pool that is occurring because of the addition of a quarter to a half gallon of acid, it’s very minimal. Usually I get a drop in pH of about .3-.4 with a half gallon of acid. I still stay within the 7.2-7.8 range so it’s nowhere near a concern. The acid dissolves so fast it’s not an issue for the liner as long as you don’t splash undiluted strong acid on it.
