Dianne van Giersbergen (1985) is a Dutch dramatic soprano and frontwoman, who is best known as the former lead vocalist of German symphonic metal band Xandria. With whom she toured the world and released 2 albums and 1 EP through Napalm Records.

Dianne is also front woman of progressive metal band Ex Libris, which she founded in 2004. Their third album Ann (A Progressive Metal Trilogy) was self-released in 2019.

On February 14th 2023 Dianne's released the first single "After the Storm" of upcoming solo album "Soulward Bound". The album will be released in a new and unconventional way: spread out over 5 years, with 2 singles each year. Her second single "Unleash the Siren" was released on Sept 22, 2023. Her upcoming single "A Symphonic Tragedy" is expected March 14th, 2024.
DIANNE's music will be co-written, orchestrated and produced by Joost van den Broek (Powerwolf, Epica, Ayreon, After Forever) and feature many well known guest musicians from the genre.

Das erste mal als ich dich singen hören durfte war, als du mit xandria, die vorband von powerwolf in bremen warst. Ich war damals total baff, dass ihr nur die vorband gewesen seid, hatte euch auch damals daraufhin angesprochen. Deine Stimme ist fur mich die beste live stimme all time. Ich hoffe dich bald mal wieder live hören zu können/ dürfen! Ein Kompliment bitte nicht falsch verstehen: der wunsch nach einem song der deiner stimme gerecht wird muss her, dein volumen und stimmfarbe sind gefühlt immer auf handbremse geschaltet ich will das es mal zu einer eskalation kommt wie bei "das phantom der oper" als christin alles aus sich heraus singt. 🥰 So einen song aber neu verpackt wäre mal klasse.

Geweldige muziek! Ik heb honderden orkestrale soundtracks en de laatste tijd ook uw muziek ontdekt en erg gaan appreciëren. (Alsmede Epica, Arjen’s muziek en ook het een en ander van Heidevolk) Er zitten uiteraard veel verbanden tussen symfonische filmmuziek en uw muziek (vooral filmmuziek uit de jaren 60, 70, 80 en 90) wat mij erg aantrekt.
