Thanks! Yeah the controls aren't easy, which is why I prefer playing these sorts of stages where I can just throw myself at it and eventually there will be a good result instead of pure skill stages where I struggle to get anything decent.

Yeah I already thought that was the case, I figured I'd see if I could match it the normal way. These times are now 100 % the max normal way I think, so any improvement with the wall-jump and it's yours.

Yeah it is, I kind of go wide with jump to get better angle. Even with that though I didn't expect to get this clean of a finish.

I'm honestly not controlling it that well either usually. It takes me a lot of tries to get good runs with this strat.

I'm not sure honestly. Maybe there is no difference and I just didn't try long enough on the easy version.

i'm honestly skeptical of cyberscore's implication that they are different kind of seems like a weird decision but the evidence that i have so far is inconclusive either way

also btw do you have homebrew software installed that would make it possible to export your save file? will be getting the pal version soon and would love to have these stages available to compete on

Thanks. Definitely, the main thing I noticed is that boosting is pretty much nonexistent in here as steering in any way tends to lose you speed, so you want to go straight as much as possible. Stage 24 here shows that well.

Dunno, so far on this second playthrough Chill Mountain Normal took me the longest but that was in large part due to the record on Chill Mountain 1 taking me so long. I still got lots to go so can't say for certain yet.

Aha, yeah it's really difficult. I kind of got lucky on this run I'd say. I believe my 02.18 was my fastest finish coming from the side. And yeah there are some big improvements now, but many of them are from the fact that back in 2009 both me and packattack still used the suboptimal way when going for finishes that were higher than the start. On quite a few stages which we never played after that there was a lot of time to be saved with the 'jumping' strat.

Aha, yeah some of these require really fast movements. And it's ofc fun going for blind goals XD.

@@nickrottine7133 Is there any way that you'd be able to upload your save file so everyone can get access to those stages?

@@MengskGX I honestly have no idea if it's even possible to do that. There is an option 'send to friend' when I click on the stages but the option is grayed out and I can't select it.

@@nickrottine7133 I've never uploaded a game file to the web but my guess is you have to use Nintendont and since this game prevents copy saving you have to get the program that allows you to bypass that then upload it to an SD card. I'm not sure how accurate I am with that but I had to transfer my file to a new Wii and it was a struggle. If you want to put in the effort thats cool but it will require a lot of time and effort.

if you have homebrew its pretty easy but idk if pal has different hudson stages than ntsc

Me neither at first, but decided to try out anyway and bam second try got this. I honestly don't think I would've beaten or even tied your 1.81 the normal way because that run looked insane.

This escape works every time, though I don't think it's possible to do the jump strat here.

Thanks, you have quite a few nice times as well. It's good to be back to this game, I've kind of missed it. Btw, are you playing on a different version? I noticed you have several times ending in .x2 which seems to not be possible in the version that me and the other players are playing on.

@@nickrottine7133 Yeah I don't really know why all my times end in .x2. I'm playing on a Wii, I guess I'm on PAL. I have however not this problem on Kororinpa Marble Mania... And since I can only get times that end in .x2 I guess most of the times on TA will be impossible for me to get. So I'm focusing more on the main stages, especially the easy ones.

@@noxai4011 That sucks :( I kind of feel bad for beating you by .01 on some stages even though the times should be the same.
