    I'm sorry but some of the points on grip are misleading or definitely not correct when we taking in consideration moder tennis. The one handed backend is definitely not eastern grip and forhand and volley cannot be played with same grip unless you play continental grip ( outdated).

    • @eli_pironkova_tennis
      @eli_pironkova_tennis День тому

      @@gianniroma5593 for the one handed backhand it is called Backhand Eastern grip and it is different than the forehand eastern grip as noted in the video! You play forehand and backhand volley with continental grip as all pros do! Continental grip is outdated for forehand! All the pointers are correct and current 🙌🏻

    Is it best to stick with one grip style for ur forehand or can u rotate? Im a eastern grip holder. Ex if im in a match and want more topspin. Can i switch between points?

    Много добре обяснено, може ли да направите видео за топ спин сервис, именно засичането на топката и силно изразен спин. Движението как се прави и има ли пронация при топ спин Поздрави !

      @ I was hoping you were going to say that you do a kick serve with a 10 o’clock toss ☺️. The slice looks very convincing though, I’ll work on it. I think it’s good to add variety with different placement and also mixing slice with kick on the second serve

    Can I give you a drop of advice when you get down to hit the ball? Don’t rise up with the swing stay down there and swing forward through the ball. Your shots will all stay in the court if you do that and you’ll have a lot more control. Just shift the weight from your back leg through your core to the front leg but don’t lift up your body with the swing.

  • @davebeery_youtube
    @davebeery_youtube 25 днів тому

    I struggle with shorter overheads when I have to approach them. My body is moving forward and I tend to hit them into the net. Any suggestions? I point at the ball, I prep my racquet, etc. I think I need to wait a little longer to get the correct angle, but it is elusive.

    • @eli_pironkova_tennis
      @eli_pironkova_tennis 25 днів тому

      My suggestion is practice! What you describe is timing issue, which is fixed with repetition!

    Thank you for the slice serve tutorial. May i ask which Extreme racquet, tension, and string you are using? Also, do you have a preferred multifilament string? Thanks again!

    • @eli_pironkova_tennis
      @eli_pironkova_tennis 24 дні тому

      Here I play with the extreme pro, the string is head reflex and I am at mid tension! You need to try a few strings to arrive at yours - it is just the process - what works for me may not work for you! If you shop from head use code: ELI10 for 10% off racket is linked in the video description! 🙌🏻

    You should check your 12oclock because it looks more a one then a twelve. You should maybe mention the more slice the less speed so 2oclock will be slow and people who understand tennis will see and know that 2ovlock curves more

    Can that be practiced alone on the court like throwing the ball oneself in front of you and then hitting, or is someone required to throw or hit first the ball in your direction and then hit? Is it possible also to practice that against a wall?

    My slice serve tends to bounce up. What could be wrong and how to adjust it? 🙏

    • @eli_pironkova_tennis
      @eli_pironkova_tennis 27 днів тому

      If it bounces up it is likely a kick serve! Hitting on the side instead of high to low will keep the bounce low 🙌🏻

    • @eli_pironkova_tennis

      You have a point. But hear me out! When my father taught me how to hit an overhead some 20 + years ago he said to me: “if you follow what I tell you to do when you get an overhead, you will never miss it. Then he taught me the exact steps, I am teaching you here. While the claim is unrealistic in its nature it gave me an immense amount of confidence in hitting my overhead. We practiced it A LOT, and every time I got it, I had his voice in my head telling me, do these steps and you will never miss it. I executed and rarely missed it. There is an art to coaching and influencing a player and very big part of it is mental.

    Great explanation! What is still difficult for me is hitting the ball when it comes from the opposite side. With the speed of the ball, sometimes it is difficult for me to measure where to hit the ball, also the racket has to go in the slice movement and not in the normal way when hitting a forehand for example, it makes it a little more difficult for me to find the ball with the racket.

    One thing that you are doing naturally but not necessarily explaining here is making sure you hit the ball in front of you where your front knee is. This allows to hit the ball when the racket comes up.
