Sir Mark, please get that man to pronounce Ubuntu! It is my pet peeve to hear the inept mispronounce this wonderful indigenous Nguni word which means "I am, because we are." To that bearded interviewer: ooh booon too. Or just listen to how Sir Mark says it.
His fellow ex country man, Elon Musk has received more publicity than himself.
Snap is good
Useless hiring process of canonical. Just a waist of time
Interesting. I was down in RTP for about 8-9 years at Data General. I still consider it my best job.
Seems like a thoughtful guy. A modicum of humility. He does share the traits of most of the technocrats these days though. Isn't enough to just make great software?
Quite interesting Mark’s background and the launch of Canonical 🚀
Thanks for the interview, Sumit. 🙏
The players tell it
😂😂😂
Lebron literally has dropped 3 50 point games on Quentin Richardson 😂.
Completely different players
Smart, balanced answer - nice.
Ones a better scorer ones a better player
Am South African. We were so happy to help with him going into space. And he got there
This man deserves more recognition for the work he does
Docker uses Moby Linux. So cute a name like Moby Dick and Dolphins and Ahab.

You are universal maintenance organization? I will blame you for all the mess then 😁😁 It takes skill and management to innovate? No. It takes to have the correct idea. And currently it's a mass confusion of everything. Hint: every problem is an engineering problem. There is no "management" in first principals. There is perspective ⧊
The intersection point is a sh!tty perspective to do the state of the art. From what I see so far from Canonical I do not agree with you. Do a trip, O.C. your brain, maybe you will realize the truth. Revenue: 141 million USD (2020) You are sitting on a gold mine. do the right things. Number of employees: 505 (2020) Very modest. Canonical's mission is to make Ubuntu and open-source software available to people everywhere. Is it usable if it is available?
I like these oral history type clips, but where are the full length version?
Hi - you can watch the playlist and it will keep going …
@@sumitcan1694 I'll do that. is it you doing the interviewing? Regardless, thank you very much for sharing these.
What a beautiful reply.
“Accept everything that comes your way, and avoid thinking of yourself as a victim” 💎🔥
With all the players saying Lebron is easier to guard, you'd think he wasn't averaging 27 pts on 55% EFG. He's been playing 2 decades, you always hear, "this is how you guard Lebron..." Or "he's not on my top 5 scorers". Well he's about to pass Kareem. He must have dumped those points on somebody, unless he's been playing against ghosts the past 20 years.
Foreal... 🤣And LeBron haters just eat this silly shit up. But they hate when you put actual numbers in front of them that shows lebron has a higher scoring avg than kobe on almost every team in the nba. Like you said apparently these expert defenders weren't around when lebron was dropping buckets on their team. 🤣
Lol that’s what’s always funny then you find out he be abusing these same players who say this
Big Cap
Bruh don't know Space Jam Jordans🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
LeBron James has averaged 28.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 25 games versus Quentin Richardson in his career.
You mean against teams that Q Rich played on
Kobe did wrk too so you’re not saying much your just bringing up stats
@@rasharbanks1392 The stats says a lot. LeBron avg 28 pts a game against Q so he must not have been that easy to guard. kobe avg 30pts a game against Q. Not a big difference.
Lebron scores most of his points in the pick and roll getting switches
@@goalorient9857transition To
Quentin Richardson is a known Lebron hater
Kobe would get triple teamed. Lebron doesn't even get double teamed....Lebron fans always get mad when NBA players chose Kobe over Lebron. Just face the facts. Kobe does everything better than Lebron except pass and maybe rebound. Kobe's Footwork is better. Shooting. Ball handling. Free-throw. Midrange. Defense. 3 pointers. Better scorer. Reads defenses better. Wins more championships. Speaks more languages. He's just better than Lebron. It's ok. Lebron learned from Kobe. That's why it took Kobe joining the Olympics for Bron to finally win a gold medal....Lebron is bigger and has been more durable. Lebron is still a great player. Can't take that from him. He's just not on Kobe's level.
@Buff kobe 😭😭😭....adding fuel to the fire lol. I was wondering who would catch that.
Man is flat out better than Kobe 🤣
Carbon copies don't get respect like the original lebron is king
I mean Kobe was an ISO player he prioritized scoring first so yeah NBA players are gonna say he was harder to guard but that's not Bron's game he's more of a pass first guy but he can score at an elite level. Ya'll gotta stop saying Kobe is a better player than Bron in these comments lmao just because an NBA player said he was tougher to guard Kobe still easily a top 10 player ever but he not up there with Bron.
Kobe was more skilled than LeBron
Lebron’s not even top 20, he’s just a true stat padda
@@tyronealbert889 Offensively yeah he had more moves
@@Madman-en8db 🧢
@@Slapshot544 not just offensively, Kobe was a really great lock-up defender, he could predict your move with sense and skill and of coz the drive. If u really play basketball, u will see most of Lebron’s defend move just reply on his athleticism, so he can make some highlights, but his skill is not there, he can’t lock up no one even my grandma.
Cool. Believable. ISO game is one part of a player's offensive game, which is only a part of a player's overall game, which is part of a player's overall team impact.
There's no I in team. But there's a me in that muthafucka 😆
I mean 🤷♂️ while I understand that it seems most ex players who played against both pick Kobe or say Kobe was harder to guard I have to rank Lebron higher all time. I can’t judge them on who ex players say was harder for them to guard (as stupid as they sounds even sounds stupid typing it 😂😂) I mean I’m not an ex player I didn’t play against these guys. I can only judge them on what they did. If I’m judging on what they did I give the slight edge to Lebron 🤷♂️
Yeah, it depends what question you’re asking when comparing between Lebron and Kobe. If you’re asking who is the most deadly scorer, most clutch with the clock winding down, best mid range and outside shooter, with the best footwork on the block and a killer with the ball then it’s Kobe. If you’re asking who’s a better play maker, better rebounder, with better court vision and more versatility on the floor then it’s Lebron.
@@amostlyreasonableguy I’ll go even simpler - if I were a GM or owned a team and I had a lottery team I’d take Lebron. If I had a playoff team already I’d take Kobe.
Are there even lebron fans that are coherent adults? Most lbj fans are prob kids, virgins, antifa or blm.
KB is a scorer L.James is a facilitator KB is always in attack mode L.James is in react mode Stopping L.James from scoring is not hindering his strength offensively.
Well said..casuals fail to understand this aspect..players gameplan for kobe...coaches gameplan for lebron
@@bofranklin2944 I like “Casuals”… I call them “remedial fans” 😂
Open source is the future
Of course Lebron is easier to guard. In 2014 they put boris diaw on Lebron and just gave him 4 steps to shoot he couldn't do anything against that defense.
Lol
People fail to realize that Lebron & K. Malone are the exact same size so it's not that Lebron is easier to guard, it's the approach you take when guarding him as opposed to guarding a SG or PG.
The Karl Malone comparison is spot on. LeBron is truly a positionless player.
They were the same size but Malone was much stronger while Lebron is faster and more agile. Malone could run the floor well for his size too though.
Space Jams ? Where ? Ayo if you gotta podcast make sure you know what U talking about

It was an honest mistake. Let the dude live.
Kobe is harder to gaurd than LB no question. So are a bunch of other people (Kyrie, KD, Steph) they are more versatile offensive scorers. But the person who is hardest to beat in a basketball game is LeBron James because he is the most versatile offensively and the most complete defensively.
i love the way you worded that, 100 percent agree
Lebron isn’t more versatile offensively than kyrie kd, steph or Kobe. He’s the least out of those. And you can’t be the most complete defensively if you’re known for taking plays off to save your energy for offense. If he was the hardest to beat in a basketball game he would have more rings.
@@benayahisrael2118 LB is by far a better playmaker, passer, decision maker, gets his guys involved and does it within the flow of the game all while scoring extremely efficiently. Your greatly underestimating what a true PG does for the offense. Your pretty much an idiot if you think he's "known for taking plays off" . .. I don't think you understand he's been in the league 18 years. And should have won the DPOY in 2013. Lost against Marc Gasol who didn't even make the All defensive 1st team.... And has been a great defender his with the exception of this year. At year 18! Where he is still a very good defender just not focused... Especially in the REGULAR SEASON.
Unfortunately his finals record doesn't indicate that 🤦🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️😂
@@qbrees30339 hardest person to beat doesn't always equal hardest team to beat. The heat team was actually a better version of the Lakers team you see now. 3 superstars 2 of which are way outside their prime. And the rest of the roster is just fillers. A team like that would never beat a complete roster like the Dynasty Spurs or Dynasty Warriors. Even a young Big 3 Celtics or 04 Pistons.

Mnah if he were smart the product would have been even better. Suse are smarter.
awesome
All the NBA players say Kobe harder to guard but the media try’s to tell us otherwise lol
I never heard the media pick LeBron over Kobe. LeBron bigger and stronger but Kobe played stronger
Nah the media doesn't try to say Bron is tougher to guard they're saying he's the better player. As much as I hate NBA media they're right on that Bron the better player overall
media says LBJ may be better not harder to guard. No one doubts Kobe is harder to guard
Idk where you got that from if you watch basketball you would clearly see Kobe more skilled and skill beat strength anyday
Media? Nah his stats and accolades is what tells us otherwise 😂 Bron is better bruh 💀
Almost every single NBA player that played against both pick Kobe. These are the people we should be listening to. Not SAS and Nick Wright 🤢
For real😂😂😂
Facts
Meh no. it doesn't take an nba player to understand the game of basketball. And accolades, stats, what we've seen.. Thats at least evident. Nba players bank on their credentials not facts. Also, it doesn't take an nba player to recognize matchups and the fact that player a struggles to guard LeBron and not as much Kobe. That's all in stats and proven. The nba player perspective is just saying I know basketball. It doesn't prove shit lol. Also what does first person prove? Nothing. Because we can see the tape. We can see Kobe blaze past his defender as he dunks on 2 bigs. What does first person prove? What info does it give? Nothing.
@@mokushmasmo6009 “It doesn’t take an nba player to understand the game of basketball”?? Says who?
Remember, it's an individual question. As a team, LeBron requires far more defensive schemes and help side defenders to stop. I'd bet my life, the coaching staff spent more time trying to figure out defenses to stop LeBron more than Kobe. Kobe's greatest gift was his 1 on 1 scoring so of course this question will favor Kobe

Ubuntu is a great legacy, Mark!
He didn't find it easier to guard Bron, if he did Lebron wouldn't of kept dropping 30 on him. People who don't know basketball think "bags" have anything to do with winning.
