Chopper Camping - Welcoming Fall
Every September in Western MA there is a small event that was started as a vintage Indian Motorcycles camp out. Most of the guys are older, some in their 80’s still tent camping. I’ve crashed it the last 3 years. As the Indians become more rare there’s more vintage Harleys that begin to appear. The old timers usually come over and reminisce about the old days looking at the choppers as we roll into camp.
This year I brought a couple buddies and we rode backroads across the state, climbed Mt. Greylock, passed some familiar faces on a similar trip, crossed into New York and Vermont and had an overall memorable time with little to no bike issues which is always a plus!
I held off on any narration in this video so please enjoy the music and the background audio from the bikes and us being idiots!

Переглядів 3,1 тис.5 місяців тому
On Thursday July 25th we trailered 3 dual sports under 200cc’s to Waterville, PA to start the PA Wilds BDR-X. We set up our base camp at Little Pine State Park. We arrived late Thursday Night, set up camp and ate a quick dinner. Friday morning we started on our journey. We rode the designated trail to Sizerville State Park, where we set up camp for our first night camping on the bikes. We rode ...
Awesome. What an amazing video. Subscribed.
Great videos. I just bought a Pan America a month ago and I’m scouting rides I wanna take. I live just outside Buffalo NY so this BDRX is high on my list. What Month did you do this and what were the temps outside
I knew some of those roads looked familiar!!! South shore Mass rider here. Amazing video brother. You have a talent for film making/editing. Enjoyed this a lot. Saving it to watch again and again 🙏🏽
Thank you. Stay tuned, there will hopefully be more at some point!
Great video. I’m down on Long Island and I occassionally take the ferry to Bridgeport CT and ride north. I’d love to tag along on one of your rides. I’m full time here on UA-cam making moto videos: ua-cam.com/video/2Pfecva3VF4/v-deo.html
Great videography, thanks.
@@marcoluoma3770 thank you
Absolutely great video man! You captured so much of what riding is about. The drone shots. black and white riding footage and scenery shots were all wicked! Looking forward to seeing more. Keep it up man!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Awesome video, I am originally from western mass and love that area up by shelburne falls. I’m in Ct now but it’s awesome to see familiar places in an awesome video like this. 🤘😎🤘 keep riding guys
Thanks man!
Righteous. Well done. 🙌👍
Glad you liked it!
Very nicely done. I know the work that you put in to this and you did a great job. Cheers from subscriber #36🎉
@@StormKingExpedition thank you! Glad you enjoyed
Love this, man. The nostalgic style makes it feel like an old memory 👌🏼
I did this exact trip with a buddy in July. Had a great time, but the temps in the mid 90's was terrible. My inexperience showed in a couple spots, but all in all a ton of fun.
@@davidehrmann6929 tons of fun. Definitely looking to do it again. It would be an awesome autumn trip for sure
Great film. Loved the “old school” home movie effects. You are obviously a pro! You should consider entering the BDR film contest at the end of the year. Very good!
Thank you, the vhs look came from an actual vhs camcorder I brought on the trip. It’s the only way to make it look more like a home movie and add a little more depth to it!
@@MotoEncampment well it was excellent. Check out the BDR film contest as yours would be huge
@@MotoEncampment we are doing MABDR first of Oct. Did you book campsites in advance or just roll up to them. The two routes cross each other so curious about campsite availability
We did book our sites in advance. I watched a “things I wish I knew before” video here on UA-cam and the guy said that even the primitive sites on the route needed a reservation in advance, we didn’t want to risk getting stuck anywhere without a place to stay having never been out there. We planned our route around the 3 sites we had booked a couple weeks in advance. Sizerville state park was completely booked the night we stayed but little pine had a lot of vacancy so I think it’s going to vary from place to place on availability
@@MotoEncampment ok thanks that is a huge help. After your film I watched the same “things I wish I knew” vid which is what prompted the question. Many thanks for the confirmation. I think we are going to need to book rezzies which takes away some of the adventure
2 weeks ago I rode that bdr in two long days, 10 hrs day one and 14 day two on a T7. Beautiful weather couldn't of had a better time
Sounds like very long days! Did you do it solo?
@@MotoEncampment I did it solo, it was a great get away . I love to visit PA , it is a nice to get out of western NY if only for a few days here and there. Great video keep them coming.
Great video. Road the wilds in Aug with a buddy in 3 days also, already planning our NEBDR trip next year. This sport is addictive.
I would love to do the whole NEBDR. I need a little more than 3 days off to do that one in its entirety tho!
Excellent narration.really good vid.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it
Great Video
@@kampinbob thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Planning on doing this on our CT 125s this October. Thanks for this great video, motivating, want to get there! Just completed NEBDR and ready to go again.
Good luck!
Well done. Can't wait for the next one
