After one year on Monoski, the first real carving on a Coda V3-9
So nice to see Monoski on edge. So many just slide around on the tail using the nose as a pivot point. Bravo. 😍🤩😎
Very Nice. What model is this board? It looks like a different board from the other videos. Is it custom made with Monoski binding inserts?
Helllo Tandem...! Yes it is a custom made Monoski, with binding inserts manufactured by pogo, germany
@@stefanmamie301 THanks! 🙂
Very nice carving! 🙂. Did you get the board made with ski binding inserts?
i used snoli binding inserts www.snoli.com/produkt-kategorie/snowboard-inserts/
🔥🔥🔥
Nice video ! Question : To get on the edge, you use the technique of pushing the knee with the other knee or you switch to body on the chosen side?
Thx! One part is a hip bend, the second part comes from the knees and the third from pulling on the outer foot of the curve
@@stefanmamie301 Yes, the third point, you shoot on the outside foot that is to say that you raise it which puts your edge in contact with the snow on the side where you want to hole! I use the thumb of the knee on the other, which is exactly the same as lifting one foot!
Do you prefer this one or the CODA board on your other video ?
Hi Jean-Philippe, the Coda has a tighter bend, which means tighter turns through the V-tail, but it is much harder to ride, especially in icy conditions, and has a tendency to overspin. It's a question of taste
@@stefanmamie301 Thank you for your answer. I am questionning to purchase a snowgunz G-turn 165
A friend of mine got a G-Turn 165 at the beginning of January. It's easy to ride both conventionally with drifting and with carving - a really recommendable board. It's relatively soft, flexes very well and therefore carves tighter turns than the radius would suggest, despite the relatively wide radius of 10 metres.
Hi Stefan, did you do the conversion yourself? I have so many questions... :-)
Yes, first I used quiver killer inserts, but they were not strong enough, then changed to Snoli inserts
@@stefanmamie301 Thank you! You really should do an how-to video :-) Monoskis are nowadays hard to find and expensive and if there's a way to try them out by putting together a (maybe used) snowboard and inexpensive bindings I would certainly do that , and possibly many others :-)
