On top of that, in my limited experience, 80-90% of Limited Edition cigars are worse than the normal lines, they're double the price, have a nicer box, and more shiny/grandiose marketing. These boxes are meant to be given as gifts, not to be consumed by long term cigar afficionados. Much like Japanese fruits come in 2 categories. Watermelons that cost $10 for personal consumption and square watermelons for $300 that are meant to be given as gifts in the corporate world and are purely meant for display purposes.

Your video just popped up today, January 12, 2025. I did buy tins of both the Entretiempo and Mananitas back in March of 2016 at La Quinta (Casa del Habanos en Avenida Cinco, la Habana). My notes say both quite good, not as earthy and strong as I would like but back then great for the budget (75 and 49 CUCs respectively. If memory serves me 1 CUC equaled 1 USD), Also, your choice of rum is far better, smoother like a cognac than the more advertised Havana Club. Cheers from Canada.

Happy New Year Laurent. Love your videos, and please keep them coming. Aside from Davidoffs, I ONLY smoke Cubans, but having said that, I fear we are all falling into some kind of Mass Formation Phsycosis about Cuban cigars. Lets face it... with the exception of maybe Cohiba and Trinidad, all the brands are made at communal factories in Havana. Any given Torcedor maybe rolling a Partagas, while the next one is rolling a Ramon Allones. In fact, they may not even know what brand they are rolling! I am coming to the conclusion that a new Vitola from a relatively minor brand is just a marketing exercise by Habanos to extract more $$$ from us. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Cubans, I just don't want to be taken for a ride. And I would love to think that my hard earned $$$ spent on Cubanos actually gets to benefit the Cuban people. Yes, I have been there, and yes, I feel so sorry for their predicament. All the best from heavily taxed England (which is why I buy my cigars in Belgium!). Kevin

would like to see a video on counterfeits, they seem to be making them very well where the numbers check out on Habanos the bands are correct and the only way to tell is by smoking them and the negative effects and flavor that real Cubans don't have

Nice video. Just a few remarks from a very good ST collector for more than 30 years. I would have asked more questions. I would have heard something more about the process of creating a lighter, some feedback about some low points in the quality that I went through some years ago, the change to the new gas refill bottles which are not as clever as the single charge was and other questions, like the first serie of Le Grand that did not had the cling, and also the fact that it is not very useful outside, because you have to light it normally, before switching to the blue flame, and that could be troublesome outside. Also my experiences with the assistance department have not been very good, at least from Italy. Anyway, a nice video. Best

I find it interesting that Governments are trying ban cigars and cigar lounges,every time there's a war or civil unrest there's a Government involved, cigars and cigar lounges are a pastime where civilized people can congregate and indulge in civilized activities,Governments say their doing it for the health of the people, Governments have never worried about people's health,more people have probably died from the stress cause by their draconian policies,as soon as they find people are getting some enjoyment that is legal they want to put a stop to it.we are all supposed too sit twiddle our thumbs and do nothing ,enjoy nothing, experience nothing til our lives boringly end.

California just put my vape shop out of business after 11 years of being in business. The FDA is working with Big Tobacco to control the market and I know this because I am currently in a Federal Law Suit with Altria Group AKA Phillip Morris.

Totally agree about the concept of cigar lounges as social places and a space to relax. An escape from the always switched on - in front of a screen - modern lifestyle. Lounges and cigar / pipe smoking give us a chance to slow down / contemplate and that’s always appreciated 😊

Hi. Do you have any experience with swisscubancigars? I find is suspicius they sell certain Cohibas at very low price compared to genreral marked price. This is spcificaly refereing to the Maduro 5 Secretos line. Box of 25 for under 500$. Does not add up. Thank for reply. Sincerely KB
