The upper reservoir hose has a baffle in the hose. I trouble shot the system and found it. It saved me thousands of dollars and so much time. 370k km on my 2012 tdi jetta. Its been plugged for so long. No heat in car. I crushed the baffle with pliers and now it flows properly and my car is like mexico inside from the heat working in winter. Im soooooo happppppyyyyyyy

Hey !I also do this modify in my Opel Zafira B 1.9 cdti !I put an german made Meisterteile SMF kit on it !All fine except for a litlle ratlle on idle !Do you have the same ? Opoun that, the car it just fly and put the power well to the ground, and it doesn't fell anything when you drive normaly !The litlle ratlle on idle can cause something ? Or every SMF does the same ? The 3.0 l tdis have a bleed screw on top of the EGR which must be opened before refilling coolant, if you don't the air bubble will compress and the thermostat won't open and the engine will overheat.

How time consuming is this job? I have an Audi a3 8L, 2002 model. A friend will do the job for me. He has a car-lift in his garage, but he never replaced a clutch on an Audi before.

For those interested a 13mm square drive bit for a tight fit with those plugs. The 1/2 inch drive is a sloppy fit and may distort the plug socket.

Tip for when doing cooling system service. when you got a bottle of new antifreeze that is full strength (undiluted) take a black marker and write on side of bottle 100% so that 3 years from now and you grab the bottle you know the contents is full strength. Mix the coolant 50/50 or whatever ratio in another container be it the same type of bottle or different and mark it plainly 50/50 and then add G12 or Dexcool or whatever brand of coolant FORD etc.. so you KNOW exactly what is in the bottle. Some of you may think this isn't important ? and those would be the people that grab 50/50 coolant bottle and add 50% water to it and then come winter time wonder why the side of the engine block has a crack the entire length ? that is because you dumb ass put the wrong mix into the cooling system and it FROZE in the winter now you need a new engine block. THAT is why you mark the shit clearly. or one step further own an antifreeze tester and test the vehicle when done to make damn sure it is correct. no guess work involved. If you live in Florida ? they carry on no need to worry about frozen engine block unless the earth tilts on its axle ? in which case the tidal wave about to drown you is of more immediate concern.

Not all red coolant is compatible with VW/Audi.

How to bleeding procedure at coolant in audi a6

I noticed my coolant was just below the minimum, then ordered some VW branded coolant (the pre-mixed 1 litre) .. Anyway after i topped it up (took about 0.7 litre) and had a ~10 mile drive then all my coolant leaked out. but can't find any source for the leakage. Could that because of a pressure build-up? As i did not bleed it.
