It worked exactly as directed; be sure to use your nails hard so that you capture the dried soap in the cloth. Then you apply it as in the video. I used one of those cloths you clean your computer screen. It passed this steam test; let's see what happens when diving

Why I had to watch your documentary on how to recycle when all I needed was to know more about this suit, and instead you told us NOTHING?

Ive got 30 dives in my 8/7 Thermiq and i feel spoiled in it. Im no technical diver but i did do my Speciality diver course in it and 120ft was 42 degrees cold. Im sure the bare water to my face made me colder first though. I wish i could talk with someone at apeks to learn more bout my suit regarding its max performance and does it squeeze or is the cold just in my head from the icy blast. I cant wait to use it again on the 21st.

Thank you Apeks for the top tier gear. I know diving would still be fun in different gear. But as i go thru my dive ranks im proud to wear the Apeks logo. Granted ive got lots more to learn but i dont mind as long as Apeks keeps putting the life support gear i want to wear on my dives

Love the look of this. However I currently have the i770r and this seems too similar, which doesn’t sit too well as my i770r is plagued with issues. Once a few more reviews are out and about I may consider getting this.

Man oh man, I know I shouldn't rush. But I've held my O.W card for to long with minimal progress. Now 20 years later I'm rekindling my love for the sport, building my first dive kit has been quite the learning curve. But I love my Apeks 8/7 semi-dry and the XL4 reg and octo. If I could get out of my old US Divers Sonic 2 BCD and upgrade to the Apeks WTX single SS backplate with wing. Diving seems like it's a growing thing so I've just gotta dive my gear then grow into my Apeks Bp/W.

Why is no one burning the lens?

Calling bullshit on this. Been cleaning with soap for 2 hours now and still fogging.

I love the fact that the owner of this rig found it himself so that we get the full and accurate account that it was lost at sea for three years at 82 feet. Found still pressurized absolutely awesome! I am also happy Apeks got their hands on this regulator and an ran a lab test on it confirming that it still passed fully functional as intended! My lens broke before I even entered the water for the first time..... Apeks Support response "This incident is maybe due to the overheating of glass but this is totaly unacceptable from us."... But that's it! Nightmare communicating with this company over a 3 month period.... You would have thought that they would want to get the mask back to inspect it for potential defects in manufacture...but no?

Fantastic, gin clear waters ............................. with nothing to see!!, just bare rock and no fish life or, by the look of it, no life of any kind. Such a shame!! Great equipment though. The BEST!

Is this the same process for the UV lens? Seems ridiculous that we have to work so hard to get information on how to properly care fo the UV lens variant and Apeks Diving appears largely unresponsive to inquiries on all platforms. Here's hoping they respond to this one? maybe?

También se puede hacer con jabón liquido para bebés. Es mas rápido y el resultado es el mismo. Muy importante no mojar la máscara antes de colocarla para bucear, de lo contrario el poco jabón que queda después de secar la lente se pierde y no hace el efecto que deben hacer los tensoactivos del jabón. La máscara ajusta a la perfección, en mi caso, y sino me la quito adrede no entra ni gota de agua. Muy buen tip, yo antes lo hacia con jabón mezclado con agua y al aclarar para no tener restos que pudiesen entrar en los ojos se perdía gran parte del efecto buscado.

Nice mask! Followed the exact instructions at least a dozen time and no results. Nada! Brands should look into their manufacturing processes to avoid such a well known issue (continuous fogging) from the start.
