I just bought the Fryette Power Station for mine....50watts.....Oh so good....can now be heard over a drummer.......it totally rocks!

I've had the amp for over a year now and wouldn't buy it again. After about 5 months, the amp made strange noises when it was switched on, which then disappeared again after a few minutes. In the following weeks, the noises became more and more intense and persistent until they no longer disappeared. The chassis of the amp was also boiling hot. As the amp was under warranty, it was sent to Tone King Service, where the tubes and some resistors were replaced. The noises have been back for a week now and the chassis is getting very hot again. I don't dare take it to a gig because I think the amp will let me down. As I have come across similar descriptions in various forums, I believe that the Imperial II has a design-related problem. The amp is nice for the living room to play for 2 hours, but far too risky for a gig. I now play a BadCat Jet Black at home and at my gigs and am completely satisfied.

they sound very similar but not 100% exactly similar.. its as if just changing your pick attack can determine how they sound

Amazing review! About a year ago I replaced the stock speaker with Jensen Blackbird 10-40 10-inch 40-watt speaker and it took this amp to another level, and recently I got an incredible deal on mesa boogie california tweed 2:20 1x10, when playing them on clean side by side you definitely hear difference but I was expecting a much bigger difference to be honest. Same exact speakers but mesa added some sort of magic to their amp I guess 😊

The Euphoria is one of the best overdrive pedals ever made! I use it in open mode with the Danelectro Roebuck and the MXR Sugar Drive. With this stacked pedal combination I can do anything I want. You can save a million dollars with these pedals!

I am a singer, not (yet or ever?) a guitarist. Both guitars sound good which is important, seeing as the Cordoba C9 is not exactly cheap at 1000 EUR. What my ear heard is that the Cordoba has an appealing but slightly muddier sound. It's nice, it's warm, it stays there. The Kenny Hill on the other hand sounded lighter in tone, but the sound had much more depth and that depth was layered. It was like comparing an untrained mezzo with a highly trained soprano. Both voices are good, but the soprano leave a more lasting memory.

Fender sounds fuller, more woody and woody is a must for my tone

Would you say the dumble sound is primarily used for soling? Or do you find it is useful as a sound for rhythm as well?

Kenny Hill has a nice refined tone but is lacking in volume. Most DTs that I know of are loud.

I've been stepping on my "plastic" chorus pedal for years and it hasn't given me any problems.

This is an amazing amp, especially for the low pricetag. I have two heads and 2 combos. I loaded both combos with an Eminence Ragin' Cajun speaker and it's monstrous. For high gain, I like setting number 13 on channel 2 with gain set on 5. The versatility of the amp is incredible and the onboard effects are really good. Great review and playing.

Honestly, I like Tom Delonge now, but did now know who he was till they announced the guitar. I’ve heard and enjoy blink 182 but I didn’t buy the guitar cuz of that. I saw it posted on fb used, and traded a telecaster for it. I gotta say it sounds incredible and there’s nothing like it that I’ve played. Very unique. But… I would NEVER spend 1,200 on it, cuz the qc isn’t perfect. It has slightly sharp frets in some areas, and flaws in the neck lacker that looks like it’s peeling above some of the frets. So poor QC from Mexico which is honestly far too common.

Is the JB standard or trem spaced?

I love it. I personally like more relicing. But that’s just me. Awesome sound. Basically a hot Guitar ❤

A good comparison may have been to replace the C9 with the C12 Spruce Top. Still a great difference in price, but then it’s spruce versus spruce.

Seen so many people criticize the plastic pedals. I've gigged with a behringer bdi21 for years. Its been kicked around the satge and had my singer jump on it with his size 13 combat boots on many occasions, it still works perfectly.

The Epiphone actually sounds a little thicker and fuller. I have listened to many blind test and have never been wrong. Except this time. I can't believe how thick and Rich the Epiphone sound like compared to the Gibson.

Do you still humidify your acoustic guitars if you have any, in hard cases? It gets real dry here in Maine in the winter.

They certainly sound impressive, im looking at one for sale here in Northern Ireland along with two matching mesa boogie 1x12 cabs, all excellent condition with mesa covers for £2300 sterling .. English pounds .. thoughts ??
