Приєднався 29 лис 2022
I am Brandon Gaylor. At Gaylor Property Service we offer junk removal, dumpster rental, material hauling, and brush removal. I will bring you along the way during the start up of my business and show you how it grows. I want to inspire you to start your own business and live a life of freedom and wealth!
This Has Been the Biggest Challenge Starting my Business
In two years I have been through three trucks. The first was a 2004 Ford F150, the second a 2016 Ram 2500, and now a 2018 Ford F250. All have had their problems and that has been the biggest challenge starting my business.

It has been hard for me to find affordable rock, but I have found one place that offers it cheaper than anywhere. That allows my customer to get a better deal and I still make a good profit. I Overloaded my Dump Trailer with Dirt

I start out my day doing a quick junk removal job at a house that is being remodeled. After that I meet up with a friend of mine that sells top soil. He loads me with two excavator bucket loads, but it ends up being more than my dump trailer can dump. Next time I will know to only get one and a half buckets worth. At the customer's house I have to hand unload some of the dirt so that my trailer...

Hauling Gravel and Fighting Yellow Jackets
I saw what looked like electrical cords thrown away in your trailer. Those can be saved and scrapped for insulated copper wire. 80 cents to a $1.10 here.
The American 🇺🇸 plag was destroyed as GARBAGE. There is a patriotic way of discarding them properly.🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I was waiting for the news that you finally bought a duramax! But it was nothing but the expected troubles of buying a dodge gasser and the ford diesel.
I don’t like the newer Chevy’s, they seem really cheap. I don’t like that they are IFS and the older ones have the cp4 pump with no lift pump.
@@gaylorpropertyserviceI have 160k miles on my 2021. All stock. Pulls my 331g or 35g all day long. No issues whatsoever so ever. They are cheap because you are not spending $8000 on them to keep them running. I was a long time Cummins guy. Until I owned the duramax. Never owned a ford because everyone I have ever known that owned one, had issues!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family
Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving!
All these newer trucks are junk man. I gotba 2022 Ram 2500HD 6.4L shoulda got the cummins for more money byt i didnt. 105k on the clock and just waiting ror the day now. I maintaon it well but who knows. Keep your head up.
I agree. Too much computer controlled stuff as well and everything is harder to work on. My new injectors even had to be programmed.
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Get the recall update on the Power Control module
Are you talking about the Ram that had the pcm replaced?
Pretty pup is that a Great Pyrenees ? Square body chevy am with you on that one. Man bro I hope The Truck Gods smile down on you that's some back luck for sure when all you trying to do is make a living. Keep ya head up brother " He only gives what he knows you can handle".
Yes, that’s our male, Moose. We also have a female, Minnie. A Chevy squarebody has always been my dream truck. I know God will provide, He always has! Hopefully I am finished with truck problems for a while. lol.

Dump fees in your are ??????
$35 a ton. This didn’t weigh much at all.
It's slow right now just remember, right now is when you save save save.
It has been slow for me too the past couple weeks.
I enjoy your videos. Happy Thanksgiving! I also appreciate your Jesus love you in your videos.
Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks, I just started doing that a couple months ago. Hopefully it helps someone!
I love going through old stuff like that finding old stuff it would take me for ever cause I'd be more interested in the stuff then getting it loaded lol . great video bro
Haha, it’s hard to not look everything up and see what it’s worth. There was a lot of old wood that could have been reused, but I don’t want to keep store it. I can see how junk removal can turn you into a hoarder lol.
don,t get rid of thoes lld wheels there are peole out there that cpud use them
I kept them. Hopefully they will sell.
the terrace is also completely rotten and the garbage there was already the rats on it, everything is for the dump, but don't keep any of it because the rats carry a virus that is harmful to people, so throw everything away if you want to stay healthy
Agreed. This was pretty nasty.
Good Job Thanks you😊👍💪
Thanks for watching!
The first thing you loaded was the Garage Door. Why?
I usually load flat stuff first.
you don't scrap electrical wire? saw you tossing them
I haven’t before because I thought it had to be bare wire. Someone else commented and said they accept it just like that. That’s something I will save next time.
You need to wear a mask. Sounds like that dust is getting to you. I love watching you!
Yes, I definitely should have. Lesson learned. Thank you for watching!
I wish you lived near me. I waited 11 months to get a load of gravel on my driveway. Good video.
That’s crazy to have to wait that long. Thanks for watching!
Just found your channel. Love these kinds of channels. On this one, it could have been speeded up a little and if you would stop and tell us what you are doing ever so often that would help. I was interested in the magnet picking up nails but a lot of people would have no idea what that was. I just learned it myself the other day and I'm old. Also, your camera had a spot of fog on it in this one. Just trying to help. I'm not being critical. I love your work.
Normally I do speed it up, for this video I wanted to do it in real time. I could do better at telling what I’m doing, but I also have a job to do and need to get it done quickly. My lens has a scratch in it, I need to try and replace the lens. Thanks for watching!
That's a job that a mini skid steer would be nice for
Yes, it would. Hopefully someday I can get one. For now the old Ford tractor will do.
They changed you 2 dollars to cash that im going thru some stuff i pay my bills in cash and they want to charge me 3 dollars after I paid bill in cash so told them mark account paid in full mine and wifeys told lawyers about it said bring it on took out a policy on me had something come up they didn't want to pay but did nothing to do with hauling scrap but had a sand and gravel company also we had a landfill just posting stuff i had a trucking company 57 years retired now but health reasons took it toll sorry about the long rant
I’m not exactly sure about what you are saying, but I’m sorry you are going through a hard time. Thanks for watching!
@gaylorpropertyservice I go pay my bills in cash and got one that said go paperless they charge EITHER WAY BUT IT'S WEIRD I PAY IN CASH BUT THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR A PAPERLESS PAYMENT IM CONFUSED ALSO THINK FOR DOING PAPERWORK DON'T KNOW I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN I FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING ON IM NOT HAPPY CAMPER I THINK THE WAY I SEE IT I PAY AND THEY CHARGE ME TO PAY CASH BACK IN THE DAY WOULD GIVE A DISCOUNT FOR CASH NOT NO MORE TO MUCH DRAMA AND IM COMPUTER STUPID THANKS FOR GETTING BACK I MIGHT OF POSTED NOT REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WHERE DOING I KNOW HERE SOME PLACES CHARGE A FEE BUT JUST HEARD OF THEM NEVER USED ONE IM A RETIRED TRUCKER AFTER 57 YEARS DECIDED TO HANG IT up and sell the trucks and business then health started giving me problems
@gaylorpropertyservice thanks for letting me relieve some stress just probably didn't understand what was going on sorry got out of hospital same day and get o here to watch stuff sorry for bugging you
@@KevinHarvey-qw5mj You’re fine, not bothering me at all. Thanks for commenting.
You would appreciate a wireless remote for that dump. Good scrap haul since it was mostly old and rusted.
I’ve thought about it, just haven’t done it yet. Yes, that stuff has been in the woods for a long time.
Same here, good offers are too far and few in between to make it remotely worth it.
Yes, and they usually too far away to be profitable.
Good luck to you. Anyone that's prepared to work as hard as you do deserves some success.
Thank you! I'm doing my best to make it happen.

Thanks for watching.
Nice hub cap haul! They are definitely worth more than scrap value. I saw a couple spinner caps they can be worth more. Most what I saw could be worth between 10 to $20. Good luck with selling them!
I figured they may be. I need to work on organizing them and researching what they are for. Hopefully I can sell them fairly easy.
I drove for ups. You are just a number to them. And they don’t care about you or the customer. I couldn’t stand working for them.
I can’t either, but I’ve been there 16 years part time. Hopefully my business can do well enough in a few years to allow me to quit.
Do you have a company you recommend for payment processing?
I use Housecall Pro. It’s how I keep track of my customers, schedule jobs, and accept credit cards. I will do a video here soon on it.
Don't ya just love gas pump ads? 🙄
I hate them lol. Can’t even pump fuel without a screen in your face.
Nice job with good coin! Beautiful location, thanks for the ride.
You’re welcome, thanks for watching!
Love the steady content
Thanks! I’m doing my best to reach 1,000 subs by the end of the year.
30:23 fyi you ever look into getting a hydraulic lift? they got table/cart ones that can lift a half ton
Just looked them up. They are 161 lbs. I would rather lift whatever junk into my trailer than have to carry that thing around and somehow get it in and out of my truck bed.
@@gaylorpropertyservice that's a really good point, i guess its more of a stay in your garage kinda tool.
It's a waste of gas.
Agreed.
Maybe you could make moe with Lift or Uber.
I don’t want to drive around random people.
Yeah that DoorDash don’t seem to be a money maker. I’ll be honest, like I said I do same work you do, and excavation, landscaping. I got a night job at a truck stop in my small town, I have made some really good connections and networked into some good relationships. I work 10p -6A so everyone who’s got a blue collar business is getting fuel and coffee, breakfast and stuff. Money ain’t that great, but it’s where I was led at the time. When I’m super busy I work 1-2 nights a week. When work is slow I work 5+. I also get food and fuel discounts and other perks.
That’s pretty cool and nice to have extra income when you are slow. I work part time in the evening at UPS, but it’s not good for meeting new people. I may try to get a part time morning job here soon. That way I could do my business during the day between both jobs.
8:20 Don't you know all that extension cord is scrap too? 80 cents a pound
That’s not really something I have thought about. Doesn’t it have to be bare wire? I would have to burn it all I guess.
@@gaylorpropertyservice No your yard should take it like that either called extension wire or #2 wire, and not just extension cords but the wire from any small appliance like vacuums and such, 80 cents a pound is what it is at my yard yours will probably be different, and thicker solid core wire should be #1 and pays even more
Awesome, thanks for the information! I will start saving all the wire I find.
holy moley, after that workout you should go to a gym and relax👍👍😰
Haha, I was definitely sore after a full day of doing this job.
I did 34 years at UPS. It provided well for my family but it'll beat you into the ground. If you'll hustle for yourself like UPS guys do for the company, you'll be rich and retired in 10 years.
Nice, congrats on working there that long. I agree, I know I have something bigger to do with my life than working for someone else. Thanks for watching!
That river rocks must be heavy, hope things pick up for you, you fo good work and seem to be very honest, have good one
Yes, I can only haul 3 yards of rock and my trailer is maxed out at 2.5 tons. Thank you and thanks for watching!
LOL Just Overloaded my trailer yesterday and I know I’ve put 5.5 tons of logs on before. This time l loaded out some dirt with a skid steer and loaded the skid and headed to the yard. Unloaded the skid steer and went to unhook from the truck for the evening and the hydraulic jack would lift it off my hitch….. had to use the hand jack to take some pressure off the hitch then use hydraulic again and repeat the process till it was relieving off my springs. Next morning had to dump no worky……. Good thing the skid steer was handy to pull off a few yards. That video will be out 2 weeks ish….. We always gotta figure it out!! Great video!! Keep up the grind brother!! TTYL
Oh wow, that sounds like you were really overloaded lol. This time it wasn’t bad for me. The worst I’ve ever been overloaded was the video I recommended at the end of this one. That time was really bad.
Pea gravel and River rock has been a hotter seller than mulch this year for my business.
How do you advertise that service?
@ mostly discussing with clients the look they want, and if it fits I recommend it. I use FB & IG.
Same for me. I’ve had several customers replace their mulch with river rock.
You have a clear and focused plan for ‘25, I see “rental investment property” vibes in your future. Keep the faith, love your content. 🇺🇸🙏
This is the clearest I’ve ever seen God’s plan for my life, but right now I’m in the trenches. Rental properties is my ultimate goal, this business is the first step in getting there. Thanks for watching!
Man! They sure like to buzz around with their motorcycles down the street! Zoom...zoom.. almost comical listening to them when you speed up the timeline! Great job by the way. Love it when you can keep the spoils. Makes work so much better. Cheers from L.A.
Haha yeah that what it sounds like. I planned on making this video in real time instead of speeding it up, but it would have been multiple hours long. Thanks for watching!
Watch being in between the truck and trailer while raising the bed. The truck can easily move on you could be a bad situation. I use wheel chocks and parking brake, my dump trailer has a 20 foot cord and gives me room to be out of the way. Be safe good work .
That’s something I’ve not even thought about in a normal situation. It’s in park with the parking brake on, but I there is a chance something crazy could happen. Thanks for the advice!
Curious to know what door dash makes. From all ive hears seems like a waste of time when you factor the per hour numbers, not including gas insurance and such. Love your hustle though you’re gonna make it. Im in the same mindset as you as far as getting out of debt.
So far it’s only been about $10 per hour. Pretty much a waste of time like you said lol. Thanks for watching!
i have a friend that does it full time and he makes between 800-1200 a week
@@ayson364subtract wear and tear, gas, and the. The time spent better off getting a job
@@ayson364 What city is that in? I am not sure if that's possible in my area.
Have you thought about helping people move with your trailer
I’ve actually had some people ask about that and turned them down. My insurance doesn’t cover that and I see it as too risky to damage their stuff or taking it out of their house.
Your hard work will eventually payoff!
Thank you. It already has, my wife is able to be home. I have a vision I am working towards though!
i had a dump trailer and had it overloaded a few times.I never had to shovel.I used a bottlr jack on the front of the box and lifted the bed slightly and the ram would take off.Try it youll like it. God Bless Brother
That’s a good idea. Thanks!
