Hey UA-camrs, I'm Jas and love to experience the outdoor life in and around our backyard on the beautiful Central Coast NSW. Things like family camping, hiking, 4 wheel driving and getting out to do some fishing tutorials , also like to do some Catch and Cook episodes and various product reviews that I buy myself and test out for you, the viewers.
Enjoy the uploads and say hi 😎

I head out after hearing reports of long-tailed tuna between lion island and box head; unfortunately I could only find Salmon , but it was still a good session 😎

Chasing the last of the salmon that are running around our area before they head back out, I throw some small lures into where I see birds flying over the water for a couple of these great sports fish.

Well, with the calm weather the bites tend to drop off as the fish can see what's happening and feel what's happening a lot easier . It's only when the wind picks up, I start to catch something.

With the cool water now in Brisbane waters, the reports of salmon were coming through and chasing the bait schools. Despite only getting a couple in the 2 hours I was able to fish; was still good seeing them in such shallow water and chasing the vibe

I would love to go fishing with you lol…great video 👍
Flick us a message if you venture down. I'm always happy to bring people out to see our waterways 👌
Thank you Molly ❤
It's people like you who inspire me to keep going. I really appreciate your support ❤️❤️
I'll be heading out in a couple of weeks to try again.
Mate, this is wild I didn’t know we got big runs up these parts?? I’m going to have to try my luck out there soon ahah
Yes, obviously there are quality control issues with parts and assembly on some batches. The crank rod snapped on one end of mine, after a few weeks with only light intermittent use. So I am just trying to convert it to single cylinder as I cannot claim warranty because I live in SE Asia
@@eshcoldp1368 similar scenario I see. The Dune single one I changed to hasn't missed a beat.
Hey legend, such a great video!! That first one was an awesome fight - they are so fun on light gear! There first initial runs are my favourite wooooo! Well done legend!!
@@SebGAdventures Thanks again Seb; the 1st run is fast alright. I tried to get out before the wind killed it. Hope you got out this weekend; see you out in the water 🎣
This is a legendary session!!!! Mate I could learn a lot from your videos I’d love to catch fish like these one day!!! Wooooooo Keep these videos coming legend!! 🤙🤙
@SebGAdventures you wiil! Those Reds up there get big, and I am still trying to land that 5kg model mate. Live bait on big gear doesn't scare them either. Cheers and tight lines 👌
Try around the pirate ship at Gosford mate. Saw around 10 bustups before sunset today and they’re always there smashing bait
Yeah that's great! I saw that the young chap on the breakwall there got himself a nice one. Tight lines 🎣
@@reeltomeal yeah that’s me
@@IBFishingaus I did wonder that when you mentioned it 😂 You did well I commented on your fish 😉
@@reeltomeal thanks a good school came around heaps of mid 50s but a lot of 60 models around aswel
Done the miles got the smiles good work mate 👍
I'll need to upgrade my gear next time I think Luke, got dusted 3 times on 30pd. Cheers mate, tight lines 🎣
Hey bro not judging but the first snapper u caught looked way under size to me. You know you need to measure from the shortest point of tail not longest. If you don't know now you do if you get stopped by fisheries you may get a big fine.
@@Extremefishingnz appreciate the feedback and yes it was legal, not interested in keeping undersized fish, that annoys the hell out of me. Been angling for over 30 years and have been working with the DPI fishing program monitoring many species. Tight lines 🎣
@reeltomeal oh true bro my bad I thought you were in nz😂 it must be different in aus.... here we measure to the inside of the fork
@@Extremefishingnz a dream for me to get out to the Coromandel for those big snapper and kingies. Tight lines mate 😉
Well done, good session mate
@@raynewman4904 thanks Ray Yes it was definitely one to remember and when the sun set, they came on then went off again until the moon rise, so it just goes to show they definitely bite on these changes. 👍🏻
@@reeltomeal it doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's magic. Keep up the content.cheers.
Great vid. what good quality from Tony😂😂.
Thanks Richard, he is experienced and has caught monsters up and down the coastline., especially in this area. It has a lot of the big ones and he actually dropped one that was closer to that meter mark and I couldn't get over to give him a hand as I was onto a fish as well. I personally haven't seen a snapper of that calibre and it was really good to see that there in such good health and plenty of them.
Great video Jason. I was lucky the wind dropped off and to be drifting towards you, not the moorings! Reckon I owe you a beer or three. Cheers Steve
Hi Steve, happy to help and hope you can get the outboard fixed so you can get back out there and enjoy these beautiful days. I might catch you on the water again soon. Safe travels.
I love your videos you deserve way more god bless you
Thanks Riley 😎
Was this on Sunday or yesterday?
Sunday afternoon
@@reeltomeal I was out around mid day caught a few flathead all around 50cm on soft plastics
@@IBFishingaus that's great 👍🏻 I've been trying to find the deeper holes thinking they might be down deep where the water is more stable but if you're catching a few good fifties you doing well 😁
@@reeltomeal yeah I was anchored in front of woy woy bridge flicking plastics towards pelican island and was picking em up there

Thanks Riley😊
Btw I subbed
I LOVE THIS EDIT
Looks like it pushes that boat pretty good l wonder what the weight is on that boat.. l'm buying a new Tohatsu 115 and putting it on a 1,950 lb. Aluminum Deck Boat.
That boat is about 870 kilos dry weight.
Magic mate, nice one with the kids
Thank you, it's always good to get them out and do some exploring. They love the boat and the water.
Nice little video mate im due to get down there
Cheers Luke. This rain will either make or break the next session with the Mulloway chasing bait. Hope to see you on the water 👍🏻
This size for surf fishing?
Holds good line for the horses 😁
Great to see a good amount of cobias in here atm
It was a nice surprise. I know they can travel as far south as Jervis Bay, but happy to see one, despite it being small.
@@reeltomeal yeah it’s great saw a huge dolly get hooked onto in Syd harbour last week
@@IBFishingausthat's pretty cool... love the dollies.
That's a nice fish bro. Awsome boat set up 🤙 new sub
Hey nice video man🤙 keep it up
Hi Mate.. may i know the size of your squid jig and what colour.. thanks
I only ever use a 2.5 g natural colours brown and greens. This particular day I was catching the squid on metal Halco lures I'll take many lures other than jigs if they're hungry enough
What lures are you using there?
I'm am using a 10 g metal slug lure.
Awesome content mate, keep up the good work! How can I contribute to the channel?
Thank you very much mate. Just keep doing what you're doing I guess, it's much appreciated 😎
Mate I got given a lure fro Ali baba and I caught one of the biggest tailor I have ever caught of the stones.
How good is that! It's great seeing other brands that aren't expensive catching the fish 👍🏻
Was the beach packed NYE?
Not busy as expected. The weather wasn't the best though.
Nice video, I caught a huge whiting on temu sand worm soft plastic
Nice one! They seem pretty good for the price.
Well done mate. Dedication for sure. Love the shirt. 🇭🇲🍺👍🏻❤️
Thanks mate. Proud to wear your merch 😎
I'm glad I found your channel and have been following for some pointers around fishing Brisbane Waters. It's a pity Koolewong ramp is so weedy as it's a nice ramp.
Thanks Richard for tuning in. I'm glad you are getting something out of the channel that's what I'm all about helping out locals that love to get out on our beautiful waterway; yes the NE winds are horrible sending the weed along at that ramp. If you need any tips just send through a message. Tight lines 🎣
For that price I would have got a completely sealed Van Staal.
Nothing wrong with your choice there however, for under $1000, the Authority represents a long term quality reel that will easily tackle bigger fish. The Van has some good internals, though you'll be paying a bit more and not getting as much drag power in this size category. Something to note too ,is the anti reverse on the Van's have their issues and are known to be a bit more clunky on the wind, if you read the reviews. Tight lines 🎣
Penn almost nail it this time better tolarence , bigger main gear , slow osc , curvy single spool lip and better design, i have 4500 one , man this reel is just as good as my stella 6000hgc at far cheaper price , i’m sure u wouldn’t miss stella nor saltiga with this authority .
@@maasai- they're definitely built strong for longevity and that's what I like about them; yeah they're not as smooth as other top end reels but never had any fail me yet The battle ll, slammer 4, all great.
It's not a saltiga but it's better than a stella in my opinion. Great for rock fishing or beach fishing when reels get wet you don't have to worry
@@kamadowoah4584 agree on that. Penn got it right with longevity; standing up to the harsh elements.
we have to go fishing together sometime
Thanks mate yeah it's a great area we fish in here.
looks delicious ,love your work
Thanks for watching! It's a top area for it
great vid keep it up
Nice size bluey 👍
Thanks mate, dropped a decent one not long after,. I'm going out Saturday evening for another go. Tight lines
115 is that a 1999/2000 mod good motors
Yeah, the precision blend series. It's a great reliable outboard that's been very well looked after. Low hours too ✅
well I hope you and your fam have some great times in the cruiser Ill have to stop for a chat next time I see you at Brissy waters in my little smartwave @@reeltomeal
@@lucifer007007 will do mate, cheers 🙏

It was nice out there, though It got quite windy in the afternoon.
nice sess Im gunna hit this weekend
Good luck 😊
I’m waiting for it go to on sale. It’s selling for $499 without paddles or seats so I’m abit hesitant to buy at that price. Do you remember what occasion it was that it went on sale?
Easter sale weekend. They had the folding seat on sale as well from $99 to $29. Keep an eye out 👍🏻
Nice little session mate , there is a big hole just in front of the restaurant/marina almost right at the end of the left pontoon.. plenty of lizards and also right in front of the creek outlet at Tascott right near the station 😊
