Ansys Fluent-Condensation of Water Vapors, a CFD Tutorial
Переглядів 43 тис.6 років тому
Only Vapors are patched in a single zone at a temperature of 380K. Both left and right side are assigned a temperature of 273K to condense these vapors back to liquid. And gravity is applied along the negative X-direction. Condensation can be seen during the making of movie and condensate is moving toward negative X-direction. This is because gravity is assigned in that direction.
Do you have any experience of condensation in free convection?
Liquid water accumulating on the left vertical wall, while there is gravity in the negative y-direction is not physically possible. Or am I missing something? I know this is a few years late 🙂.
Why do you choose viscous heating? It seems that the author does not understand the theory of fluid dynamics very well.

In results, water vapour volume fraction calculation not available, when I attempted any suggestions?
good job, thanks!!
continuity equation is diverging in just few steps. I followed exactly similiar steps as you mentioned. Please help as this is quite urgent.
The legend on the left side of clip shows volume fraction of water. Blue is pure vapor and orange is pure water. On the condenser we see only blue (vapor) and the box is full of orange (water). Can someone explain please?
It's volume fraction of water v means water_vapour
I need some help in ansys. Can i have your mail id or whatsapp no please ?
did you use two different case in this video ?the boundary name is different between fluent and CFD-post 。when I repeat this case ,the condensation did not occur ,my ansys verson is 19.0,do you konw why ?thanks 。
As there are 2 condensers in a symmetrical configuration, shouldn't be the results also symmetrical?

Hello! I tried to repeat your lessons, but the boiling in me looks different, and the condensation breaks off at 300 iteration. Could the reason be that I'm using ansis 16? And can you throw off your projects in the mail to study them?
@creepy truck driver I am trying to simulate the work of the heat stabilizer
@creepy truck driver Good. I will try to install a newer version. The initial step I put 0.00001s.

@creepy truck driver I am doing the same simulation as done in the video. Although now my all equations are converging but cant see any interface. there isnt any volume fraction countours. Its just one plain color in the domain. I dont know what going wrong.
