Andrew Hover's GoPro Videos
Приєднався 10 січ 2012
This channel is basically just me doing things that I think would be cool to film with a GoPro. There is hiking, mountain biking, scuba diving, and maybe a little more. Not much, but maybe something a little different every so often. I try to keep the videos mostly without too much noise outside of what I am hearing at that moment. You may hear some of my cell phone playing music, me mumbling to myself, or making weird grunts or grumbles. But, what I am mostly doing with these is filming my experience in different places. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for taking a look!
Havasupai Backpacking Trip - Havasu Falls, Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls
This trip was definitely more of an experience than a vacation, but I loved it so much! We stayed the night in Kingman, AZ the night before we came down here. We woke up around 2:00 am to begin the drive and, after nearly getting airborne over a cattle grate or two in the road, we arrived at our destination and began hiking at 5:00 am. I didn't get video footage of the hike down because I didn't want to be distracted by the GoPro and make us go slower because it was going to be HOT. We made it to town around 8:45 and to our camp site around 9:30. We set up shop, then went to the falls. That is where the video begins. After getting some splashing around in Havasu Falls, the next day we went hiking down to Mooney and Beaver Falls. The hike down to Mooney was legit scary. I had read about it being a little sketchy, but I didn't realize how high the sketchiness began. I didn't get any video of that either, outside of the cave portion leading to the real descent. Once I had my feet on the ground, I could appreciate the beauty of it. Mooney was probably the prettiest of the falls and we had a great time jumping in from different sections of the pool it created. Beaver Falls was also a real highlight. We were 2 of 4 people there and basically had free reign to swim, lounge, and snack without a ton of interference. All three of the falls were memorable. But, the campsite was, too. We had our own swimming hole to ourselves. We used it to rinse off and cool off from the rest of the trip. I also used the little stump as my chair most of the trip. If the opportunity comes up for you, I would 100% recommend it, especially if you're into backpacking.

Chamonix Alpine Coaster - Chamonix, France

This was a fun, short excursion. We had a few hours to burn between getting to Chamonix and the Olympic Torch ceremony lighting, so we walked to the nearby amusement park for the coaster. Forgive the weird noises I make. I thought it would be weird if I was completely silent during the ride, so I made some noises. But, I think the noises are way weirder. So... enjoy!
Trottibike - Gindelwald, Switzerland

After we rode the mountain cart between gondola stops 2 and 3, we picked up this trottibike for riding between 3 and the base station in Grindelwald. This was a lot of fun, too. It was a little more intimidating for me, because my brakes were nearly dead... as you may hear me mention multiple times in the video. This portion of downhill was much longer than the mountain cart, too. Don't mind me...
First Mountain Cart - First, Switzerland

We rode a gondola up from Grindelwald. We hiked down from the top stop after doing a skywalk. At the second stop, we picked up these mountain carts. They had no pedals, just hand brakes. The course/ trail was short, but fast. I was unable to capture the whole ride because I didn't think about putting the GoPro in the bag to film it until we had pulled to the side once or twice. This was incredi...
Trummelbach Falls Walk/ Hike

This is just a short video of one of our little hikes in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. We started by riding a lift into the cliffside, then walked up to the 10th site of the waterfalls before walking back down to the first. The amount of water coming out of this was really impressive. This is the largest in mountain, glacier fed waterfall in Europe. It seemed like a very specific way to claim som...

Funk introduced this game to us while we were in Avon, NC for Phill's 40th birthday fishing weekend. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for any fishing to take place and Saturday we were trying to find something to do. This game was new to all of us, and we ended up playing it for about 6 hours. If we couldn't fish, we found a super fun way to pass time and drink beers still. Here are ...

I hadn't ridden in quite some time. Took me a little bit of time to get my confidence up enough to start having fun, but I did around the 3 mile mark. Then for whatever reason, I started losing it again around the 6 mile mark. Oh well, the only way to keep it up is to do more riding. I guess that means I need to do more riding!
Scuba Diving Bayahibe - Penon Reef

This was out last dive of the trip with @ultramarinedivers2015 . Logan was filming this time, so there is more of me in it. Also, as we got shallower, the buttons on the GoPro decompressed and switched it over to timelapse, so the last 20 minutes got condensed into about 2. Oh well, we were near the end of the dive anyway! We finally got Logan her sea turtle after she pestered our master diver ...
Scuba Diving in Bayahibe - Atlantic Princess Wreck Dive

This was the first dive of our 2nd day with @ultramarinedivers2015 . We were asked if we wanted to go into the ship while we were diving. We were explained that it would be dark and there would be some tight areas. I asked if I would fit, was told yes, then I said yes without reservation. Maybe I should have had some reservations. We had a great time getting swarmed by fish wanting a snack befo...
Scuba Diving in Bayahibe - Coco Reef

This was our second dive of the day. We did a drift dive through the reef. There were a lot of lion fish, some puffers, some rays, and I think there was an eel at the end but I couldn't find it in the video. We had a great time. With the drift dive, we were carried through the water a bit. This made it possible for us to stay under water a little longer and see more stuff. I was starting to fee...
Bayahibe - Sea Star Snorkeling

This was the final stop on our full day of diving. Also, the shortest video, so it was the easiest to edit and post, so it is coming out first. After lunch we made a stop in a shallow area between Saona and Bayahibe to see some star fish/ sea stars. We were able to jump in and splash around a little bit. We, honestly, had a blast! The water felt great; there were a ton of sea stars; and I had a...
High Bridge Trail State Park

I set out to challenge myself. Typically with biking I top out around 12 miles, and that's mountain biking where there are plenty of downhill sections. This was mostly flat, which means I was pedaling the whole time. After an hour and a half, I was starting to second guess this. I got bored and sore, but my parents were picking me up at the other end, so I had to finish so I wasn't a failure. T...

This was a fun ride! The weather was excellent, too. We were up there for about a week and dealt with rain 5 of the days, so it was nice to get this ride in. I've never done something quite like this. The Causeway Park parking area leads right into the causeway. Basically we rode on a very long peninsula, only about 20 feet between where the water touches. Just beautiful views on all sides of u...
Shenandoah National Park Old Rag Mountain Hike

This is the 2nd time I have ever done this hike. The first time went way faster, so if you're looking at my Strava at the end of it, just know that this was way slow. It was still a super fun hike. It starts with some serious uphill hiking for the first 1.5 miles or so. Then you get into the fun stuff, the rock scrambles! It is very slow going through there, but trying to figure out footing; ge...

I really needed some natural therapy last week. With a bunch of stuff being a stressor and not giving myself the time to and space to address it all I was. on the verge of a breakdown. I took a sick day from work and hit the trails. This first part. of the trail is okay and not really all that exciting, but it takes a while to get to ti and you end by getting the whole Sunsetter trail later. So...

Thank you for sharing your adventure 🙏☀️ Are you using a head mount?
Thank you for watching! I was using the floating GoPro mount for the most part. Some of it was just me holding the camera itself.
Hey- love it. that is unusual shots-take care. )
Amazing!
How’s the shore power and ac work? I’m in the market for a small camper and wondering if you need 2 plugs or just one?
There are two plugs on the "driver" side of it. One near the front plugs into the box for the AC power, the other plugs into the back to power the rest of it
Me too that was my favorite
I liked the part where you complained about the gentle hills.
How is the surrounding area?
It's all really nice, just across the street is the Roosevelt tree. There are a lot that caught fire in recent years, so it's not as green as it used to be, but it's still very pretty.
I liked the part when you were paddling around the lake.
Almost ate shit there @3:42 😂👍🍆🍻
Awesome ride. Hard to watch the video is so blurry.
You are right, I thought that it was an internet issue, but I think it was a video compression thing. I am going to try and reupload most of my videos with higher quality. Thank you for watching, though!
Ridiculously pretty.
It would have been more awesome if you would have made the video in the daylight.
Hope you guys found the hemorrhoid cream.

Front license plate bracket was supposed to come with your truck if your state requires it at no cost. I got one inside my maverick and the dealer installed it on the front bumper. I live in MD.
I didn't see that bracket in mine, but saw some extra screws.
@@andrewhover Tell your dealer to get you a front license plate bracket at no cost to you and have them install it also at no cost since the front license plate is require in your state.
Nice!
This is the second best video yet….nice work. Also, I like the gloves.
