Nitro Infuser Upgrade with Duotight Push-In Fittings and EVABarrier Draft Tubing
This video walks through the process I used to upgrade my Nitro Infuser from #KegOutlet by replacing the standard inlet and outlet barbs with Duotight push-in fittings and EVABarrier draft tubing. As push-in fittings have started to become more common/popular with draft systems, this Nitro Infuser upgrade is something that many users will likely want to do.
The NitroNow Infuser from Keg Outlet is the perfect solution for getting a perfect nitro coffee pour each and every time you reach for the tap. There is no need to pre-charge or pre-infuse your keg with nitrogen. You can just hook the keg up and you're immediately getting perfect nitro coffee pours with a great cascade and a nice head on the beverage.
The products used in this video were purchased from www.kegoutlet.com, here's a list of the items used:

Note: Be sure not to cross-thread the Duotight fittings onto the steel infuser fittings as that can cause poor connections resulting in gas or beverage leaks.

I just can't justify the nitro infuser for ~$600. I just use an infusion stone with nitrogen into a keg leg that I slowly ramp up to 30 PSI into the coffee. Works great for me.

Bought 2 kegerators from Keg Outlet. They both came with beer tubing which is 7/16" OD. Can't find any DuoTights which convert from 7/16 to 5/16, or even accept 7/16 for that matter. Seems I'd have to take apart the draft tower and put a duotight for 5/16" right on the shank. Thoughts? It's been a process!

Yeah there a duotight designed to go on to the shank: www.morebeer.com/products/duotight-pushin-fitting-65-mm-14-8-516-reducer.html It's definitely worth it once you get it all working, makes cleaning and maintenance much easier once you no longer have to deal with clamps, oversized tubing, and barbs.

@@twolfhart Yep! That's the one I was looking at. The only thing is, I have no idea how to take apart the draft tower to get to the shanks.

Ah, at top of the draft tower you can usually pop off a "lid" inside you will see the shanks, they require a wrench to loosen them, this will cause the shank to come out. On the bottom of the shank you might notice it is barbed, if this is the case you may need to replace it with the compatible one with the duotight, or you try it out.. I didn't have any issue connecting the duotight to the barbed end but it did make it really hard to take the duotight off after. So I guess that's up to you if you want to deal with that haha. The best tool for the job is this one here www.kegoutlet.com/deluxe-faucet-wrench-faucet-and-nut-wrench.html

@@twolfhart Got a couple of those from Keg Outlet. I can't figure out how to remove that cap without cutting myself or damaging the metal.

Just tried with a flathead on the stock tower and it came off pretty easy. The caps on the upgraded towers I got from KO don't seem so removable.
