Just a regular guy who loves fishing, Southwest Florida native.
Most of my fishing is in the Lemon Bay and Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor area.
Most fishing videos I see lack information and are more of a "look and see how many fish I can catch", so I decided to start sharing my insight to help others catch fish too.
I don't claim to be the best fisherman out there and I'm constantly learning new things myself, but if I can help others get out on the water catching fish, having a good time, and making great memories- That's what it's all about.
If you like fishing or simply would like to learn a thing or two about fishing, like & subscribe to my channel to stay informed!

Great video bud! I found plenty of trout and jack today seems like jack are everywhere right now. Hopefully we can get out on the water soon! Tight Lines!

Another great video Rich! Some nice fish. Enjoying your adventures!
@@richardvance7358 thanks for watching!
It’s great to see you videos back out! Glad you could make it out and get your slam! It is great when that water temp hits the 70s and those fish start to fight a lot harder. Great video!
@@Onemorecast941 thanks bud!
Hey bud throw that sinko weght less on them legis and drops even if it takes five mints to hit the bottom i promise you will think me latter
@@treyhill8898 thanks for the tip

@@urbanbackyardcontainergardenin Thanks for watching!
Nice video bud! Thanks for the shout out too! I can’t wait to get out that way and try it out. All the info in the video is great too. Keep up the work!
@@Onemorecast941 thanks for watching! Just let me know when your ready to come out this way and I’ll show you some spots.
@@SaltyRichAdventures maybe Monday we can head out there. I’ll text you Saturday and we can plan it out
@@Onemorecast941 sounds good!
Thanks for video and sharing tips. Live close to there and watched both of the oyster creek slam videos. Congratulations on personal best red. I'll have no excuse now comming home skunked !
@@markhudson6722 thanks for watching!
That was a great video! Congrats on the double slam and the PB, it don’t get much better than that! Little thing I learned with the “exposed hook” jig heads is you don’t need a lot of back bone in the rod to use them because it is exposed. I found that when I would use my stiffer rods I’d have more fish pull off or even MIs the strike. Most of the time I try to use one of my lighter action rods for those jig heads. Lmk of you have noticed that same thing and maybe try it out next time. Great video! I’m looking forward to the next one!
@@Onemorecast941 thanks for watching and the tips! I was using my 2500 battle setup so it was a pretty light rod but I’ll keep that in mind for the future. I’m currently wanting to build a really lite combo, hopefully in the near future.
@@SaltyRichAdventures maybe it was a flaw in the hook. I normally use my battle combo like yours for those jig heads. You never know really. Still great video and nice fish bud!
@@Onemorecast941 thanks man. It was definitely weird, When I caught the snook on that jig head it wasn’t really hooked up, it was just holding the lip. Never had such an issue. I switched to the Texas eye and everything was all good again 🤷🏻♂️.
@@SaltyRichAdventures that Texas eye is my go to lol!
@@Onemorecast941 It's quickly becoming one of mine as well. Thanks for that tip on the keeper, that's why I usually didn't use them all that often.
Nice trip! Tons of information about the launch you used and the area. In my opinion I wish more channels included information like that. Keep up the good work!
@@Onemorecast941 thanks for watching! I always find little clips of the launches helps me when I’m scouting new areas so I’ve been wanting to try to do that more. One of those things I’ve picked up from your videos, thanks!
@@SaltyRichAdventures thanks for watching my stuff. I feel information is gold to new anglers or even experienced anglers wanting to fish new areas!
Good trip. Live in Englewood and kayak fish. To far to transport there. Would middle beach (blind pass) have similar waters to fish ? Easy launch there.
@@markhudson6722 thanks for watching! Middle beach is somewhat similar since they are just across the bay from each other but also a bit different due to the different types of structure (Less oysters and more grass at middle beach). Middle beach usually is on the wind blown shoreline so it can be good but lately it’s been a little to rough for the kayak. I’m going to try to get out there in a the next couple weeks and make a video there as well.
@@SaltyRichAdventures another place to try is oyster creek (right beside high school). Leads to Stump Pass. I'm not an avid fishermen but like kayaking and always bring a couple poles. Easy to load and unload there like middle beach. Enjoy your videos. Keep um coming.
@@markhudson6722 the wife and I just fished there yesterday, it’s one of our favorite spots. We had an awesome day, video for oyster creek should be up sometime this week.
Man that was definitely a fun day! Even though I got out there later we were still able to get a lot done. You’re very knowledgeable and I think it’s cool we fish pretty similar. Great video and I look forward to the next trip!
@@Onemorecast941 thanks man! Had a blast, We’ll definitely have to do it again soon.
Man that redfish was a heart break! Still solid fish though. One thing I have learned with the top water also is if they are short striking and not committing to the bite I’ll throw a paddle tail right after the top water. 9/10 they will wack it and you hook up. Good video bud! Keep it up!
@@Onemorecast941 Thanks bud!
Great video man! I just made my first kayak fishing video on my channel and love watching yours!! Keep up the good work! 🤝💪🎣🎣
@@colejfishingadventures thanks for watching! I’ll check out your video.
Those mulligans are great.
Sweet!
That beerrun is a great color! Nice video bud!
Beer run is one of my favorites. I actually seen you using it in some of your first videos and it made me pick some up. it quickly became one of my go to baits, everything loves that color.
@@SaltyRichAdventures yea I love how it’s kind of translucent so it blends to the water color great which makes it great in all water clarity!
You should check out the micelis tournament in this October and also in November there is the calusa blue way tournament. Both you can fish in boca grande they are hosted in matlacha.
I was definitely thinking about doing the Calusa blue tournament. I wanted to do micelis this spring and wasn’t able to so I might try to do that one this fall also, thanks for the info man!
@@SaltyRichAdventures no problem I like them both! I did the last one this spring it was fun.
Those were some nice reds!
For sure, Best I’ve seen in a while.
@@SaltyRichAdventures there for a while I was on a couple schools over there!
I have the same kayak, but I'm not going to throw a net from it. I'm too clumsy. I will try your technique from the bank.
Thanks for watching! It can be intimidating at first. I started with the smaller net and was able to do that sitting down in the chair, maybe try that after you get used to it on the bank. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Nothing is better than a top water explosion...thrilling sensation!
Totally agree, nothing beats it!
Thats awesome...
You don't reel when the fish is pulling drag
I’ll admit I wasn’t ready and had a Ricky Bobby moment, didn’t know what to do with my hands 😂
You forgot to set the hook
I was fishing for much smaller fish so I only had 10lb braid with a 20lb leader and didn’t set it nearly hard enough.I’m going to bring out a larger setup next time so I can really set the hook if I run into some big ones again.
I love the laugh at the very end.😅
