Unless you’re willing to bet your life and everything you own on the fact your dog won’t attack anything or anyone it should never be let to roam off the leash….Period !!!!! 🤬🤬
If your dog doesn't have a 100% recall, don't let them off leash. Period.
If you can’t recall your dog, don’t take it off leash.
Responsibility for misbehavior lies solely with the dog owner. In general, dogs should be kept on a leash in nature. They run through the undergrowth and stress all the animals around them, ground-nesting birds, go into badgers or fox burrows. I recently experienced an off-leash husky chasing fawns through the forest and then killing a young wild boar. The owner was nowhere to be seen. The woman's behavior after being told of her responsibility is outrageous, she is the dog owner and expects the horse owner to tell her how to behave. The dog itself acts inexperienced because it was not trained by her. And to say you can't educate him is a stupid statement. This behavior is what they expect from such dogs, to be cute and like little children. The rider stayed surprisingly calm and the horse really did a damn good job. I hope there was no infection and that the horse is as focused in subsequent dog encounters as it was in this situation.
We need dalmatians and boxers to protect the horses and walk beside them.
Why did man do that do his dog
Why do people even let their dogs off the leash like that? Thats illegal where I live and rightfully so. When you have your dog with you and you see a horse, cows on a field, another dog or even just a passer by on foot approaching you put them on a leash. And before anybody asks, I've been both a horse and a dog owner.
Dog owners shouldn’t have needed telling; irresponsible!
This is why fire engines had dalmatians. They protected the horses...from other dogs.
How to spot a bad owner: doesn't address the dog by his name to give an order and no matter how loud they scream the animal will not hear them
If your dog is off the lead, apply the 1 2 3 rule. They don't listen they get told off and they are on the lead.
No one teaches dogs to listen anymore?
You defintely handled that situation well props to you not to the dog owner tho
Don't leave your boar spear at home next time
I’d love to make a video of me riding on the horse when I will be riding more often (I have ridden a horse for about 8 months but only once a week and took a 3 month break once) so if you could tell me how without a GoPro and two hands on the bridle that would be amazing
@@Sta4rYt070 he had a camera mounted on his helmet.
Totally unacceptable behaviour from the dog owner who obviously had no idea of how to control her dog. What was she thinking just letting the dogs run at you and your horse like that ? Surely a sensible dog owner would have seen you coming and got the dogs onto leads at that point ??
Just a few loons that give dog owners a bad name. Were not all like that. I hope the horse is OK.
Of course it was a pitbull. What a useless owner.
where’s the pit
It's not a pit bull lol

Dog owners are 100% n the wrong. My dog hates horses. She she is on a leash if I suspect horses are around
The owner of dog was so obviously in the wrong. First, if that is a bridle path then what was the uncontrolled dog doing there. Nonetheless, dog owner had no control of her dog. None what so ever.
I don’t like most dog owners for this reason. Pit bull owners seem to be the worst. I have a dog, she’s very yappy and barks at whatever is in the yard. However, I trained her to not bark, when we go on walks. Not at people, not at dogs, not at anything. She’s an Italian greyhound, by the way, and I literally didn’t even have to use treats. She just thrives on praise. The amount of times people have had their dogs go NUTS upon seeing my greyhound is crazy. But the amount of times people let their dogs go after horses, dogs, moose, etc. is CRAZY. Dog owners, DO BETTER.
And who on earth would think that these are dogs that are just being friendly. That’s not the behavior of friendly dog. These are dogs that don’t have anyone to control them.
No dog should be off lead unless it is highly trained! My dog was an actual service dog, highly trained, or I would never let him off lead out of our yard.
I bet the dog lady owns a Subaru
Wow is that a pitbull? Don’t normally act like this
Horse shouldn’t be in a public park to start with
@@andrewhibees4655 this is an official bridle way in London England. To start with.
Dog owners should be trained and licensed
Videos like this make me so angry, a total lack of responsibility. Dog owners like these shouldn't own any animal, both dogs are old enough to be trained. If not that is what a lead is for. Daft owner, this could have been lethal to both the horse and the rider.
Good horse.
Another feckless dog owner with a dog she cannot control and she should never be allowed to own. Say it attacked a child, what would she do?
Horses are so beautiful. They so regal.
Dogs should not be allowed off lead in public
If my dog pebbles did this I would grab her right away (i would never take my dog off the leash) I have a leash on her when I take her on walks sometimes and I only walk her in my neighborhood because if I were to take her on a bridle path she would see horses and most likely ignore them but she would bark in this situation If I was dumb enough to take the leash off I would at least not let her run off and train her to come to my call 1st try if I didn’t do that I would atleast stay super close to her and not let her run off by seeing the horse in a far distance and grab her instantly and put her leash on I would never take her off her leash if me and her were on a bridle path thank goodness the horse didn’t kick the dog people need to understand that they need to train their dogs or just not take them off the leash this is not how you have your dog on a bridle path people need to be away their is gonna be horses on the bridle path thank goodness y’all were okay and you weren’t hurt
no leash, no brain
That dogs getting ready to latch on.. Scary
Sorry but like at 0:26 I felt bad for the dog to get pulled so hard like that
When my dog is barking thats what I do to stop him... But not that hatd
Glad no animal was hurt but labeling this as a dog attack makes you a horses arse.
Do u not understand the severity of that situation
This can be very dangerous for the rider and the dog.
@@jamessurnamepending1239? And the the point of your response to my comment is??? 🤔 Oh yes, nothing to do with it or the video title.
@@Sly_Wolf_1 because this is effectively an attack. In the sense that the dog could have killed the rider by spooking the horse
@@jamessurnamepending1239You need to learn the definition of the wird attack. Excited playful curiosity is not an attack, just look the play bow alone 🤦🏻, dogs also bark with excitement and when playing. The dogs behaviour is not an attack, and it is not an attack by the definition of the word alone. The dog is disobedient to recall, and given that he is walked where there are horse he should have been desensitised to them by the owner. That is the only issue with the dog which is the owners fault. Yes the horses could throw the rider, bolt or both but what if's don't constitute an attack. If a child ran around the horse playing and making loud noises would you accuse it of an "attack" Blimey how much do you overreact to. Talk about over sensitive 🤦🏻
Luckily that white dog just wanted to play, he is doing play moves, he didn’t seem aggressive. While I agree it’s totally dangerous, because you never know what they are going to do, I would probably jump off because my hot head mare would not have been as nice as your horse. It would scare me to death. It was just lucky that he wasn’t aggressive he just saw a large dog to play with.
There's something so annoying about watching dog owners just shout at their dogs achieving absolutely nothing. "Hey! Hey! HEY!"
What a stupid ****
Owners should be getting arrested and heavily fined!!! Dog people are strange they think that their dog's have rights like a real person or child...
This is where AI can be useful to identify morons with out of control dogs. Vids could be uploaded and AI can search DVLA, Passport and other agencies to bring these idiots to court then ban them from owning animals!
Pmsl
We can see who is in charge in that relationship and it is not the lady who owns the dog. I think, sadly, that it might take an expensive vet bill or worse for this lady to come to her senses.
Of course it's a shitbull
My horse Firebird wouldn’t buck me, but she would have kicked that dog if it tried biting her.
Typical dog owners. Clueless.
The horse is very scared. It made the grunting noise at the end of video. That’s usually a sign of extreme fear if I heard correctly
Jogging and cycling and canal paths is now impossible nearby. Lots of imitating people have dogs and blame others for existing.
