Обожаю этот хор! Пересмотрел кучу их роликов! Всегда ставлю ЛАЙК!!! Мужики! Так держать!!!
Oh, Duvid, I miss you so much.
What is the name of the quartet
TransFormersPrime09 The Crush
Amazing arrangement.
LOL the lead of masterpiece is in the back.
it's just, the Lauridsen version is SOOOOO brilliant with the text - and these guys would KILL that arrangement for sure!
+Teapot S I disagree.. Lauridsen's is too busy. It diminishes the lyric by focusing on embellishment. The simplicity of this arrangement gives the lyric more power and stays true to the form of the poem.
anyone know what the final chord is?
+Meg Galloway - Can't say what it was, but I was waiting anxiously for the resolve....which never came.
Eb+2 I believe
do they happen to sell the score for this?
Love it, i use to sing this song in my choir for an audience :,) and now while listening to it yet I'm singing along but for my baby girl in the tummy
Lovely piece and performance. I enjoy your bright vocal tone and shaping. I must say, though, I simply cannot get used to all the distracting swaying! Is it really necessary?
Holy Shit!!!!!! Astounding!!!!!!!!
4:28 So damn clean..
Oh, please look into singing some of the works of Eric Whitacker. At least join his virtual choir.
We just noticed Westminster Chorus. We will come after to enjoy your performance
1) Do you hear a piano? 2) Do you know what barbershop is? 3) Yes, it IS amazing!
sorry guys but you lot are just plain brilliant
Ben Bram. Just google him, and it's on his website, under "Library."
Yep, all a capella! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ben Bram.
Does anyone know who arranged this choral piece? Please please please tell me. I'd be very grateful! Ty in advance! :D
Is this without a piano? If so, it is amazing !
Goosebumps the entire time...WOW!!! Fantastic!!!
Justin Miller
Jay Giallombardo was commissioned to compose this piece for the Westminster Chorus. Jay sang in a Quartet called Grandma's Boys, and their Bass, John Miller, is the father of the director of Westminster. (Justin Miller). The more you know!
I saw the soloist sing yesterday, he's grown a really fatty beard since then, but still sings great haha
this is a fantastic group i remmeber singing with them excellent
The chords in the background are the ones that lock. A soloist should have some vibrato in my opinion.
the chords would lock better if the soloist had less vibrato
Ben Bram
Beautifull!, but, the wrong song. This song is so emotional and so wow, it's about putting that outside, real feeling... and they have killed it all... :/
Wow, that must have been awesome!
Yeah they are a great choir. I love how well they blend. I agree, the soloist could have been a little more interesting. But hey, he's still got a good voice.
I think I read somewhere that the composer wrote it specifically for this group. It's an amazing piece of writing.
Yes - thank you! Our friend Joshua Arizmendi has it correctly above. Since my work's debut by Westminster in their 2012 tour to Europe, other groups have since picked it up and used it successfully in such events as the World Choir Games.
What a cheesy and awful a cappella version, the soloist's voice is rather dull. no depth. A pity for such a talented choir !
huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah huminah..... O.o
who arranged this?! We're trying to find it for our choir and it's very frustrating to find..
sehr lustig
I've never heard this version before but I love it!!!!=}
Josh Szolomayer
no. The chord by the quartet "Crush" at 4:19.
4:30?
Omg...I think I just broke the replay button...so incredible!
Indeed I am, Simon's a wonderful conductor, there's many times we've been in the stairwell of our accomodation on a residential singing tags, he's great! You sing with the Cottontown Chorus now? I'm hoping to become a member as soon as I get my GCSEs out of the way...
Sadly what Jackman says is true although were trying to change that. I'm lucky enough to have moved to Bolton and have joined Cottontown chorus, but there are few chorus like that in the UK. Cambridge, Grand Central, and a few others are working hard and thankfully membership (in particular youth membership) is on the rise across all of BABS. Here's hoping the trend continues ! Jack are you meaning the fantastic Mr Hunt ?
I know they do, I've sung with them a few times myself, and my choir director and the coach of my quartet is a member, in fact, he's the assistant conductor. Thing is, they're one of the few exceptions to my comment, on the whole, Britain isn't very into barbershop, Bolton, Cambridge and a couple of others are really the centres for it. Compare us to the US anyway, and you'll understand what I mean, but yeah, I have to agree with you, the Cottontown Chorus ROCKS! xD
And GNU got a standing ovation when they walked in after they performed. Can't forget that. This video doesn't seem to capture the full sound that was actually in the auditorium. I couldn't even hear myself think, it was so loud!! Honestly though...I can't wait for Portland!! I'm rooting for GNU...and I wish Westminster would be there...they make me melt <3
