Second Method
You can easily simplify the expression as you have shown. But you haven't really "solved" it. Unless you know a way to evaluate 2^99 in 10 seconds!
Multiply both sides by 5 to obtain 5X = X. X = 0
I'm trying to figure out your accent. Which country are you from?
I really love you videos so often in math videos they skip steps as if they are just common know page and end up pulling numbers out their ass but you explain every step and are much easier to follow
"calculate power"? The answer is wrong as the power has not been calculated.
The product of the two denominators is always A common denominator, but not necessarily the LCD. But, it’s a brutally efficient way forward.
10? Try 1.
In this case, once you have a quadratic, doesn't it factorise into (x-1)^2 (x-1)(x-1), Solution is immediate and we don't have to use the formula? Still enjoy the vids though!
Toľko reči okolo takej triviality...😂😂😂
My solution was exactly like yours, though the outcome initially surprised me. Note that the problem can be generalized to a^(n+1) - a^n = aa^n -a^n = a^n(a - 1). It's convenient that when a = 2, the (a - 1) term is just one, so it disappears.
Zero or infinity?
great explanation, thanks. i always loved maths and was a grade A student. when i went to day release college in the 80's as part of my engineering apprenticeship, i got bored at the simplicity of the questions i finished in minutes, so the lecturer used to set me really difficult questions way above the course level that sometimes would take me days to do. it didnt gain me any extra credits lol, but i really loved it when he was amazed i could do them and gave me great satisfaction.
I can't believe I solved it... I just did and within 5 mins, at school I would have had a heart attack and I would have wasted an hour at least
You can devide by x. But if you do you have to check if x=0 is a solution first, because you aren't allowed to divide by 0.
Masalah dunia itu luar biasa rumitnya dan sanagat tdk mudah di atasi ......maka wajar klu saya nanya bayaranya bener ga sampai dgn aman dan baik tdk ke sayah.......nah ini beban super berat tapi imbal balas tdk sesuai......cari sajah yg mau atasi pasti pada mundur jadi Gpilot itu sangat tdk mudah sangat tdk menyenangkan apa lagi bayarnya tdk di perhatikan minta di atasi berat berat tapi giliran saya tagih nah itu dia apa lagi mau ambil bayaran Gpilot malah di kasih sarat lagi utk ambilnya waduhhhh kerjaaan apa yg mesti begini udh kelar hasil banyak tapi ga ada yg ngerti .....wiiihhhhh
your thumbnails don't match the problem. I actually solved the area of the square before playing the video only to be disappointed the problem is something completely different. boo.
thane you very much
I say the factorial is smaller because , The average of (1 * n) and (99 * n) = 50 n , soooooooo 99 ! is approx 50 to the power of 50 .
Love your videos. Math with a smile. Can you tell me when the multiplication symbol changed from an x to a dot. Thank you. 😊😊
Being absolutely mathematically illiterate the first thing I thought was: 99 is 50x2-1 therefore the first number is probably greater. It was most likely asinine logic, wasn't it? 🤣 I totally relied on intuition which is a very bad thing to do when doing calculation, I know, but I freaking HATE math and you won't catch me dead working any harder on it. This time I got lucky it seems LOL
There is possibly another trick. Try the same problem with smaller numbers 2^3 or 3! 3^5 or 5! The same trend will continue so one can say the same will apply for any higher valued numbers.
While not to exact scale, there was enough visual clues to work this out in seconds simply through the process of ruling out :- We see that X is greater than 0.5, therefor... c) d) and e) are immediately ruled out, a) is ruled out because it's <0.5 --> The only option left where X > 0.5 and <1 is b). Sometimes the answer to a problem is so simple it's staring you straight in the eyes.
Or 16/5=3.2. 36/7.2=5.
Let me help you be better at this. Give the solution at the start, starting with the answer and working in reverse. The "How did we get here" is more valuable then the useless rabbit trails that end in an incorrect conclusion that you start with. I always hated math and sadly this is an example of why.
Have a happy new year Math Queen
Yeah why not
Undefined. Can't subtract a larger number from a smaller one and get a positive number.
c) and e) are too long, a) is smaller than 1/2 which is wrong since the sum of two sides needs to be longer than 1. If d) is right, then then sides of the triangles has to be 1/2 which is wrong. So the correct answer can only be b).
Let's fasce it, by looking at video statisticts most of views focus on last 10 seconds of the video, I wonder why?
3:40 another solution for sqrt(36) is (-6)*(-6) 🙂
great stuff. superb attitude and fabulous skills. makes me want to stay after class.
x + x cos(45) = 1.
asnwer=u2 12 isit
I only do these math exercises to see and hear Susanne 🤣
U2 should be D2, then you can solve for R2D2. lol. Cheers!
If I had a teacher like you it would end up one of 2 ways
I loved algebra as a 16-year-old. Should have gone on to do maths but didn't quite believe that I could actually do it, so chose other subjects at A level. Now, 44 years later, I finally realise how much of a mistake that was. Thank you for rekindling my enthusiasm!
I did it in my head, but I don't know which method my head used!😆
X=1-x X=1/2
Honestly this is not really two methods! You're doing the same calculation in both cases ;) that 12 is 29-17, the 3 glasses is the 4y-y. Thats the same method, but the second one you do the logic in your head rather than writing the equations, but your still using the same logic!
Additive identity.
The answer was obvious 0, but just like most math teachers that like to draw out the 'steps' they would mark it wrong if you just stated the answer was 0, Proving the obvious or pursuing assumptions or accepting 'givens' gets a lot of math wrong. Just as the specific order of execution which is held as fact but has exceptions. You gotta love the irony.
I don't feel as stupid. #EngineersUnite #KnuckleHeads
This makes me think of the interesting question of how to maximize the area of a rectangle if the sum of the sides is constant, and it turns out it's a square
zero
I have a better question thats more difficult to answer. Find a real world example where this equation is useful 😉
Anyway, x = 5, n'est-ce pas ? Assuming both are rectangles. 16 ÷ 5 = 3.2 4 + 3.2 = 7.2 36 ÷ 7.2 = 5 The End.
Please ! X! = X ( ( X - 1 )! )
❤ your content ❤ Now, after viewing the video to the end. Hummmmmm ! I seem to like the first method. That is how I evaluated this fraction by inspection. Please keep the problems coming. It sharpens our minds.
