Canada

Hey, welcome to my channel. I enjoy bringing new areas for you to explore as well as a different take on some of the old favourites. I am always out exploring, anytime I see an overgrown trail or a trickle of water I instantly think of how I can explore the area and make a video. I also love trees and find them to be the most important thing in the environment. Stick around if you like the outdoors, nature, and trees.

Crown Land Camping on the Upper and Lower Pairo Lakes

My dad kept talking about this trip he did 50 years ago with my Uncle Chuck in the Haliburton area. He raved about the small mouth bass fishing. So a trip to the Lower and Upper Pairo Lakes were in order. This route has been forgotten though and portages and campsites aren't in the greatest of shape.

Sassafras isn't in America is it?
Great video fella. I’m planning to do this route in September. You’re video has helped me get a great idea on the difficulty of the portages along the route. Thank you very much. All the very best from the UK🛶🙂
I am happy to hear. Good luck with your trip in September you will love it.
I enjoyed your vid! I live pretty close to Anstruther Lk and this route has been on my radar.
Lol. I hear your pain regarding the Tim River! We spent a few days on that site a couple years ago! It was awesome.
Food looks great guys! I look forward to exploring that area one day.
Great video man! I tried to get in there once but was told to leave.
I went up the creek and over the dam, there wasn't any trespassing signs or folks to be seen. It isn't that great of a spot, wonder if I'll ever go back.
Very informative video.
who told you there is brook trout in big bob lake?
Offerings are really the practice of witchcraft.God rejects all offerings but the blood of his son Jesus Christ and his sacrificial death on the cross Where he defeated sin and death and destroyed the works of the devil.Since it is only by faith and not works that one can know God and have the presence and power of the Holy Spirit who only bares witness to Jesus Christ and the reason he came and died.To put ones faith in any ritual of any kind, even if it's considered to be Christian. Even the baptizing of a person does nothing for that person. Baptism is simply a declaration that a person has already believed on Christ and has been born again of the Spirit of God. To put a person's trust in anything he does after being born of the Spirit by faith,is to ,at the least frustrate the grace of God, Which is Christ living in him by faith ,And at worst ,Which is where almost all Christians are, is to have fallen from grace.you don't fall from grace by sinning. You fall from grace by trusting on anything that a person does other than believing he has already died and rose again with christ to newness of life.a person's prayers ,good works, money given ,anything that a person puts their faith in to make them rightious, more ecceptable, more holy, only degrades the price that Jesus paid by dying on the cross.
Thank you for your wisdom, i did not know. I may not put my faith in my offerings, but I will still make offerings when passing thru the land of people who these offerings are part of their culture. Out of respect and thanks for letting me pass thru.
Despite what some of the homeowners say, Vivians pond is NOT private property. The main access point is private property, but if you launch at the pavillion and take the creek, you can fish and hunt vivians pond.
It was a bit difficult getting past the damn but yes you are right it doesn't appear that you are on anyone property. I did have to walk across a closed road which at the other end does have a no trespassing sign so that is the only iffy part.
@@prayfornathannatureshow Thats just old people putting up the sign because they think nobody will question it.

Awesome video for a great looking trip. Views from Maple mountain looked impressive and glad things warmed up a bit.
Stayed on that same site on Hobart 45 years ago as a kid at summer camp. The only place I've ever had problems with bears! But yes, a great site! Looks like you had a great trip, thanks for sharing!
Yes that being a popular site I didn't think of that. We luckily had no troubles.
I was wondering when this video would come out. It was nice meeting you on the short portage to Sucker Gut. My wife and I also had a great trip to Maple Mountain.
Ahh Yes David. I had meant to mention how great it was meeting you in the video. I was amised that I didn't take any photos or videos. Anyways I hope to meet you again. Happy paddling!
love the paddling in the fog views! beautiful and peaceful!
We got so lost, it was scary as we could hear boats but couldn't see them
@prayfornathannatureshow oh yikes! That's scary. I don't like paddling on lakes with motor boats...and in the fog would be terrifying....! But you did get great shots!
Thanks for sharing your trips with us, excellent video production as always!
Thanks Chris!
That’s a tough loop! My husband and I did the section from Widgawa lodge to great mountain and had a very similar experience on Howry creek 😂. It’s funny after the fact but when you’re in it…. Well, you know. Making a video on it sometime soon. Sorry you lost a bunch of footage. That sucks
@@stephaniefinn488 haha yes good times. I’ve wanted to go back and retry it but enough time hasn’t passed for me to forget the creeks. Will see how watching your video changes my views. Although I can skip howry creek and might now that I know what to expect.
@ if you’re just going for great mountain lake (to get the site you actually wanted) Kevin callans route starts at bear lake and goes north of Howry creek. It’s an out and back and I much prefer loops which is why we ended up on Howry too lol. I should have listened to Kevin! I don’t think my video will change your mind. Maybe just a bit of trauma bonding lol
I have seen tones of old growth white pines in my time and a couple of old red

Wow, an off-side cross-bow pry! You don't see too many paddlers pulling off strokes like that.
@@wildernesscanoeassociation no you certainly don’t. I edited out my comments after that move. It took me for surprise but I caught on quickly. He was quite comfortable in his cross strokes.

Cultivation is just as important as using the natural methods. I think if we work with nature and get the oil from the trees is fine as long as we ,work to spread the trees. And sustainable harvesting methods instead of clear cutting for profits. Needs to be on a individual level not people trying to make drugs to get rich.

Nice video and scenery. Subscribing 😍
This is a reserve right?
@@theboyluminousofficial I would say it isn’t a reserve. It is native land but technically no one lives there. It was a native farm.
Nice to explore an unknown area.

So all root beer is now a synthetic kinda nasty shit the FDA came up with? FTG where are the sassafras trees ,time to go for a hike
Would have to consume a massive amount for it to be a carcinogen
Hold my beer!
Nice capture of your trip
Those studies were done on rats given 100x their body weight in safrole.
@@somaalchemy1154 wow those rats must have had an interesting time.
It is not carcinogenic it actually kills cancer.
Pretty area! Looks like a fun trip! We are heading to West Virginia to do some camping shortly. What poles did you use for your No bug zone? Did they work well? The fireflies look amazing!
The fireflies were amazing I highly recommend going in June to see them. They are just some paint poles from the hardware store, they do the job. I also use them for the winter tent as well. Have fun in West Virginia!
@@prayfornathannatureshow oh clever idea! Thank you!
Dig roots boil it cool it down add sugar. It smells the whole house up good
Lol funny video! Glad you had a good trip even though no fish
Thanks!
ua-cam.com/video/6aCXu_eU3rQ/v-deo.html the portage at 8:36 is thru the water. I did it in drought conditions.
Don’t take this if you’re on SSRIs or any medication, ESPECIALLY psychiatric. It is an MAO inhibitor and can KILL! So be careful.
Nobody is taking these trees in the America's for the oil. It's all in Asia and it's a different species of tree. And MDMA can be made cheaper in larger amounts synthetically now so cutting down any trees is just going away at this point. Lots of online info on the newer synthesis processes that have high yields at 99.9% MDMA. MDMA used in PTSD studies is all synthetic in order to be consistent.
Good news. In Canada trees are still being cut down for MDMA, but mostly by uninformed people without a clue what they are doing.
@@prayfornathannatureshow they must be dumb then. Synthetic production is fast and cheap, are they too dumb to find a decent chemist ?
@@prayfornathannatureshow Look up cGMP or MAPS synthesis
Been down that section at least 20 times. Only ever passed our gear over the dam once since the river was too high. Every other time we ran the chute. It looks intimidating but go in with full alert and you'll be fine
I have a hard time believing sassafras is endangered but thats mainly do to it being one of the most common trees in my area they are everywhere and they multiply like crazy if you take the tap root the useful part for getting the most amount of oil and leave a piece in the ground it will grow a whole new tree 90% of the time
