Especially considering since it’s not them you’re directly dealing with but a contractor self publishing company they allow to work under them. Sure, they say they’ll publish, market, and promote your book for $5k, but they’re just a vanity/hybrid publisher. A lot of the times they won’t follow through with their portion of the publishing deal you sign, do a half assed job, make excuses, ignore your calls, and offer as well as force more expensive package deals on top of what you already paid. You’d be lucky if you get the book published and in store shelves at all if you choose to go through a vanity/hybrid publisher.
