Problems with my Garmin Echo 501c fish finder
I have a Garmin Echo 501c that I have installed on my Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 trolling motor but seem to be having issues with it. I'm not really getting a clear picture of anything, especially while I have the trolling motor running. When I hit the accelerator on the trolling motor the graph will just turn into a bunch of what looks like lines below the bottom and nothing will appear on top. When it's off I will occasionally get something to happen but even over areas where I know there is brush I get very distorted signals and definitely don't see the brush like I feel I should.
I have adjusted the gain and noise reduction repeatedly and never found anything that would work.
One thing that could be affecting this is my father was helping me install it and went to drop the motor to test it out, only to pinch the transducer cable when he did and skinned some of the casing off. We wrapped it in electrical tape and didn't think it would be an issue but could it be?

What is wrong with this Samsung 47" plasma TV?

Trying to figure out what is wrong with this Samsung 47" plasma TV. It shows what looks like solid lines and snow but the input box jumps in and out unreadable. Anyone with troubleshooting experience help me out! This occurs right after power on. Sorry I don't have the model # on me at the moment.

Is your trolling motor hooked to the same battery as the Garmin? If so, the trolling motor pulls such a high frequency that it causes interference. If it is, just go and buy a little lawn and garden battery and make sure your wires from trolling motor and Garmin don't cross
+Corey Prashaw Thanks Corey, this was the issue and it ran great hooked up to a different battery! Just remembered I uploaded this, so incase anyone else sees this here's the answer!
