Hello & welcome to my Goldwing adventures. I live and ride out of Joshua, Texas. My Wing is a 2008 Black Cherry with all the options except an airbag. I am also a "Double Dark-Sider" as I run a Bridgestone BT-46 on the front and a 195/55/16RF ZPS (Run Flat) Yokohama car tire on my rear wheel. No...I have NOT crashed & burned.
If you need help on trip planning...just holler. I would be happy to help you plan a trip. I will also do a guided tour of the areas in my videos. If you are interested contact me at Shooter6406@yahoo.com and we can discuss where and what you want to see as well as prices.
Enjoy,
Shooter

We need to plan to ride the sisters next year at this time since we basically had the roads to ourselves!
That was a fun trip to do the sisters!
I'm already anxious about having to wait half a year!
Going up the Moki Dugway a few miles North of Mexican Hat, Utah.
can't see your plate? be prepared to get pulled over! great idea
Been riding like this for 15+ years from Texas to Florida and Texas up to Yellowstone and only stopped one time by a New Mexico State Trooper. He didnt care as he told me, but he just wanted to know where I got the rack on the back. When I told him that I built them, he told me he wanted one for his Goldwing, We exchanged numbers and I told him when I get back home, I would call. He ended up buying 3 racks...one for him, one for his son and one for daughter as they both had Goldwings. So getting stopped...I aint worried about it, but if you will read thru the description, you will see that I say..."We will add tabs to put your license plate on if you want like the white and orange Wing has." But even if I do get stopped, my neighbor is a very high ranking Judge here in Texas. I will give him the ticket at home and he just says, "I will take care of it" and I never see it or hear about it again. But seriously, I have only been stopped one time and none of my customers have been stopped that I know of except one in Arizona...a local cop in Apache Wells and he wanted to know where he got it, and he called me for one to go on a Harley. All good...ride safe.
Where you heading?
This was on Day 8 of our adventure and we are heading East on I-40. We got on I-40 in Vega, Texas and we are going to Amarillo, Texas for the night...then home to the Fort Worth area the next day. This adventure was roughly 3500 miles total and 16 of us. If you ride, come ride with us sometime.
What country is this/
👍
That looks like tons of fun, are you on the Cripple Creek and Victor Narrow gauge?
You are correct Judy...and you win a Dr Pepper. It was lots of fun. The lady is the regular engineer, but the guy was in training. He still has a ways to go, but he is learning.
Wow, the one I got does NOT have elastic bands sewn in to the body of the new cover, it has weirdly Glued on patches with what looks like the Strings of a New Old school Mop. Too late to send it back and look wicked close to OEM construction otherwise. I cannot find a good video of this procedure being done however. It's kinda making me mad actually, I wanna ride LOL!
That's for trucks, not motorcycles. And what are we supposed to see in your video?
What is for trucks? You see the country side or the swamps.
That’s a awesome view!!
awwwww
This my birthday
Well...wishing you a great big Happy Birthday jojoscott667.
So adorable!
Silly pup pups
Oh yeah
cute
Hi, Henry 👋🏻
Woof-Woof
Shame on you oh great hero
Shame on me? What did I do that you dont approve of?
@@HondaGoldwingGL1800 no no no no not you I'm sorry it was on Wyatt deserting his wife and basically causing her suicide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@larry1824 Awwwwwww...ok. I think Mattie brought it all on herself with her frug issue and personally, I dont blame Wyatt for dumping her because of it.
@@larry1824 I dont think she did the suicide thing...at least on purpose. I think she just did what leads to all the other drug addicts to do...over does when they dont mean to.
Wyatt literally killed her
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Socks on a rooster eh? 🤣 Looks great!
😂😂😂😂😂
Great shots of you guys!! I would love to get a few pics of our Ultra with the dog & trailer one day. You’ve definitely given me some ideas. By the way my name is David. Im the guy you had asked to take some measurements on my trailer I believe from the Heim joint back somewhere. You got any videos of the trailer your building?
Hey David...Paul here...aka...Shooter (call sign from the days of Viet Nam back in 1967/68). Yes...the distance from the centerline (hole) of the Heim to the front (first crossover) of the trailer please. I havent started on the trailer build just yet...I have too many other things going on right now. I plan to start it in October when it is a little cooler and I will document everything with it. I am leaning at a 40" x 52" platform using 1/8" x 1" x 2" rectangular tubing for the platform frame and cross members except where I will mount the torsion axles. The torsion axles will mount on 1/8" x 2" x 2". Almost everyone I have talked to about either the Northern Tool trailer or the Harbour Freight trailer (actually, the same trailer) have said the same thing about it bouncing...even with the two leafs removed from the main leaf spring. One guy even told me that he could feel the bouncing on the handle bars on his Wing, and I dont want that. Using the torsion axle makes it have independent suspension and all the people I have talked to using torsion axles have said the same thing...no bouncing at all. I will be using 500 pound torsion axles and 12" wheels, but maybe 13" wheels. Henry, the Maltese rides with me a lot. I have a Kuryakyrn carrier and he gets in that. I live about 30 miles South of Fort Worth, Texas out in the semi country side and Henry rode with me 2 years ago from here up to the Black Hills, Sturgis (but not with the rally going on), then to Deadwood, then Yellowstone and after that, working my way back home thru Colorado. I am going to Daytona again in March 2024 and plan to pull the trailer. My YOU TUBE channel... www.UA-cam.com/user/HondaGoldwingGL1800 and there are over 2300 videos there. I went to Sturgis once with the rally thing going on...NEVER again! Too many Harley people looking for a fight because I wasnt on a Harley. Since I carry a Baretta 40 cal, the wanna-bee bad asses decided to leave me alone after I told a few of them that were fucking with me that if they attack me, they were going back to where ever they came from in a body bag instead of riding your Harley home. At Daytona, it is a different attitude with riders...no one cares what you are on. Dont know where you are at, but maybe you can go to Daytona in March, 2024 and we can meet up somewhere. There is a small group of us going. If you decide to go, I strongly urge you to get a reservation now with free cancellation at Econo Lodge 1614 NORTH US 1, Ormond Beach, FL, 32174, US before the rates go to the moon for the Bike week thing. I will be there from March 3 to March 8 taking 2 days to get there and 2 days to get home. My stay cost is $405.00 (total) confirmed, but some places are as much as $1200 per night. I am pretty much of a tight-ass when money is involved. If something happens, I also have free cancellation up to March 2. Another reason I want to build a trailer is I am bored. I retired two years early in 2010 and I am always doing something.
Amen my brother Amen!! It’s amazing how many younger people and some older ones are out there who either do not want to work or want to do the bare minimum and then complain about not having enough money for the basics. I’m no spring chicken myself, am a 100% disabled veteran and I still get my a$$ to work as much as my body will allow. Thing’s definitely ain’t cheap where I live. I think this is a great message for both younger people out there just starting out and older cats like us who may think differently. ✌🏽🇺🇸🙏
Pretty country!
My daughters best friend had the last name of earp, she said she was related to Wyatt.
Going up towards Climax.
Hmmmmmmmmmm...havent had one of those in a long time.
Wonderful video. Loved it. Like 1. A new friend here.

hola yo se que ahora no eres mucho pero acuerdate de mi cuando seas un gran youtuber
Intentaré recordarte, pero ¿nos conocimos en algún lugar o solo estás visitando mi canal?
Sorry people...it was almost 3 am and I was almost dead dog tired and cant spell...duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh on me. I might re-do this slideshow later in the near future, but for now...I am not going to mess with it.
The fog here this morning made riding almost "IFR"...pilot term for Instrument Flying. I had to turn around and go back home because I had my scooter all apart looking for an issue as to why my GPS, radio and turn signals quit working. Finally, after 2 weeks, found a relay under the seat that was on its death bed. I replaced that and everything worked as it should, but putting the bike back together, I didnt get a side panel on correctly and my gear shifter wasnt working right. The shift lever was rubbing against the panel making it hard to operate. The issue was caused by new rubber grommets that are really tight. I gave them a squirt of dry silicone lube and the panel slipped in place, then put the shift lever back on and all was good. Was a great ride with friends despite the fog.
7
No...not 7. I forgot to upload 2 which made this video 5...but 2 is now uploaded and all the numbers are in order. I dont know if I would have noticed that 2 was missing or not if you hadnt posted. I started looking and finally noticed that there was no 2. Thanks. Enjoy all my other videos.

HE SAID ELK ANTLERS BUT SHOWS CARABU & MOOSE ANTLERS. CLUELESS IDIOT!
Has anyone ever had any weird experiences while traveling on this highway? There has been many stories that have happend to people while traveling on it through the 1970's and 1980's. Some people have came across the Mythical Skinwalker that tried to catch their vehicles as they traveled along the highway. There also was a weird apparition that happend to a trucker while traveling along the Highway back in the 1970's. I have traveled once through Farmington NM and felt a weird presense there along that highway. Soo I think some people have experienced some weird things along this highway as they traveled along it. These weird apparitions have continued to surface from different people stories as they traveled along the highway.
I have been up and down this road ( www.travelandleisure.com/trip-ideas/road-trips/road-trip-guide-highway-666-route-491 ) many times on my Goldwing motorcycle and have never had anything weird happen. However, when I ride my motorcycle in places like this, I always have one of my .40 cal pistols with me loaded with silver bullets for that "just in case" incident. I have also been known to carry a sharp stick too. Other than me being prepared for just about anything...I have no experience with anything other than the beautiful scenery and whatever wild life I see. The more scenic Devils Highway 666 is between Morenci, Utah up to Alpine, Utah...and sadly, I have not had any experience with any BOOGERS there either.
She was not a house pet you red neck Honda driving disrespectful asshole
I wanted to see his grave... THANKS
Is there still water there now 🤣
Yes...there is water running thru here all year long, but during the winter months there isnt much. If you were to cross thru it from November to March, you might get your knees wet, but crossing it from April to October, you might get washed away. Late spring (May and June) is when the water will likely be running its highest from all the snow melt in Colorado. The river stars just northwest of Creede, Colorado and you can see the head-waters from highway 149.
Wyatt you bastard
After I make the turn to the right at 4:35, look at the big rock in the center of the video at 4:38. We call it the "King Kong gorilla rock"
It’s been a while😉
What has been a while??
Nice photos!
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...dont tell on me, but I stolt a bunch of them from this Chick that I know.
Mary Christmas.
You have a VERY cute Maltese puppy and he looks just like Henry when he was at that age. Richie and Henry could be twins. Take many pics and videos for your memories. Also, just for fun, see if Richie is like Henry and loves a good mud hole. Henry loves to play in the mud and water...and I have several videos of him turning brown from the mud. Henry also loves a bath if the water is warm. Keep in touch as Richie grows up and post many videos please. We, Paul and Henry wish you, Richie and the family a very Merry Christmas and a safe Happy New Year.
@@HondaGoldwingGL1800 Thanks! Yes Richie like Henry! Merry Christmas your family too!
Thanks mate for the video, and respect to ride offroad with such a massive machine!
Thank you buddy. If you look at the videos of me riding in to this place, you will see what the road or trail actually looked like. My motorcycle weighs around 950 pounds and it was tough riding this bike in here. Going back out I almost had to stop or crash because it wouldnt turn, but I finally got it to turn just as I was coming to the edge of the road. Enjoy all the videos.
@@HondaGoldwingGL1800 As you can see on my picture i ride Kawasaki, motocross (kx450) and on the road a ZX10R, which i ride dirt roads with as well. I live in The Netherlands, the riding here (Europe)is totally different from the U.S.A. Came to your video after watching Whyatt Earp. Good to see you embrace your history. Will check your other video's. Regards, Jan.
Where it is?
This is in Piracicaba, Brazil...about 125 miles North northwest of San Paulo at the Aquarium. He is eating some kind of little reddish-purple berries. I tossed a few at him, but he wasnt interested in what I gave him...only what he found. The other one had a hurt front left leg and I am guessing that he either got into a fight and lost or he got it caught somehow in something and hurt it trying to get it out. I only saw these 2, but I was told that there were more in this walled in section of the aquarium.
Nice song in the background 👍
Marty Robins singing in the back ground...Devil Woman.
