Anyone else think it's messed-up that God is specifically lashing out at _Peter_ for this, when - if you think about it - the people _worshiping Peter_ are the ones who are _really to blame?_ Seriously, ain't God ever seen "Life of Brian"? It literally doesn't matter if you tell religious idiots to stop worshiping you; they're only going to worship you _even more._ Next thing you know, you're nailed to a cross and whistling with Eric Idle. What I'm saying is, maybe God was focusing his wrath and vengeance on the _wrong thing._ Yes, Peter was an idiot who went along with the praise and worship, but it's not like he had any control over what _other people did._ (Hint-hint.) Speaking of, that's one of the things I'd like to point out next; the fact that people use this episode as an excuse for why Brian being an Atheist doesn't make sense. Yeah, Brian witnessed this happen, hell Brian has even _met God_ on several occasions. However, given how petty and flawed God is in this show (and in the Old Testament), the fact that he exists, doesn't mean that Brian should be a follower. See, Brian's Atheism doesn't stem from a lack-of-evidence in God; it comes from a lack-of-belief - as-in, he does not believe that the God of Abraham is a being _worthy of worship._ I mean, lets face it; if a bunch of fanatics showed up on your lawn and started praising you as their new messiah, and God decided to take his anger out on you and _your family,_ would you want to worship Him? If anything, that entire situation points out that God is a big bully and people only worship him to stay on his "good side."
