Tilling the Garden | With Three Homes Buried in the Ground???
Переглядів 1612 місяці тому
We're putting a garden in solid clay that's never been worked! Bonus, there are three dwellings buried in the ground here, because the previous owners didn't think renting a dumpster, demoing the homes, and removing them would be cost effective. Instead they dug a hole and put the demo pile in it. Plastic, wiring, metal, wood, stone, you name it. If it was in or on one of the demolished homes, ...

I've got a 2007 Chrysler town & country touring. On a cold start & short run I have no noise, but if it's a hot day or I drive 20-30 miles I start to hear the classic whining sounds of a power steering pump. What I'm afraid of is,this same sound was what I heard when the front pump went out in the transmission of my Pontiac grand am. With the not so great history of these transmissions,I'm scared. I'm gonna flush the PS pump & cross my fingers that this is the issue.

    • @andyandnancy

Nancy, just think of poison ivy as grease, invisible grease, that's what it is. You simply use soap on a wash cloth and thoroughly wash your hands, then around between the fingers, every square inch, and up to the elbows, etc. One has up to 2 hours to wash the grease off before it is too late. If you suspect it is on you, stop and go wash. In Greenville we had poison ivy everywhere and after watching a Doctor who was allergic to poison ivy explain how to wash and that it is grease and should be washed the way one would clean grease from their hands and in-between the fingers etc., I began washing that way and never had anymore trouble with it. The Doctor I'm referring to would work in poison ivy for an hour or two then go shower and clean the grease off. Most people do not know poison ivy fluid is grease.

Thanks for the heads up on the Fels Naptha! The local co-op had a poison ivy soap made with jewelweed and tallow, and it seems to work, but I know Fels Naptha is cheaper than the tallow soap, and available at every walmart or grocery store I've been to down here!

These videos are gold and best I've come upon for a DIY conversion. I'm learning so much and is helping me plan my own MCI conversion in the future. My question goes back to your demo video....would it have been possible to remove the overheads intact by passing these through an open window? Thanks in advance!

@@andyandnancy Over the years i've learned not to trust united-statian "It's easy" or "not that difficult" DIY assessment. The winner/looser mentality in usa is so pervasive (and wrong) that people do not dare to admit when they faced adversity or when something was a tough kicked their butt DIY. They distort everything with their bipolar view because they're so insecure with the winner/looser immature mentality. They say "not too difficult" when it was terribly difficult and almost gave up. And when they fail they don't report it. That said, cabinet refinish, if you choose a quality enamel, oil based paint, you can just paint over (after minor surface prep) and avoid all the extra steps you mentioned.

Thanks! and thanks for sharing! Positive stories in the comment sections helped steer me into this, I want to say diet, but lifestyle may be more accurate.

I know it's just semantics but instead of 'cheat' call it 'going keto'. It's amazing how that little change can really change how you feel about yourself.

Did this for 8 months, but got derailed during the imposed lockdowns. My fault. I am gradually moving back into it and am ready to feel fantastic again! Congratulations.

Thanks! Good Luck moving back into it! Watching Nancy slowly move into a carnivore diet has me believing that every step forward is a step forward.
