Doing One and Oni King is easier in 2x speed (though only if your eyes are fast) because the range at which the notes become perfect gets bigger, so you're less prone to errors. That's how I got Canorus in every One and Oni King. Just use 2x speed, it's easier.

Having the speed on 2 personally helps since I think if the notes are faster, then you'll have less time to think about them and be more passive which could decrease the chances of messing up.
