I post simi regularly with videos of cool behaviors I don't see being recorded all that often . I'm planning some bigger projects later soon so stay tuned!
LDO Voron v0.2 showcase
This is my cross country backseat voron as I've been moving from central Florida to Colorado over this past month. I've put a little over 100 hours on it and I'm hoping for thousands more in the future!

Fixing my dropped framework laptop in less than 20 minutes (Bad webcam edition)
Переглядів 1,3 тис.2 роки тому
Like an Idiot, I dropped my laptop. Thankfully I was able to get the parts of the frame required to fix it. Go right to repair. The process was incredibly quick to do and the buying experience from the framework marketplace was top-notch. Perfect score from me.
Ender 5 Plus Mercury One Serial Request- Featuring Flexibles!

Serial request for my build of the Zero G Mercury One kit. I had a lot of fun putting this kit together and I can't wait for the inevitable Hydra kit from fabreeko. If for some reason this is the first video you've seen on this heres a link to where I bought the kit. www.fabreeko.com/collections/zero-g/products/mercury-one-kit

Nice build. Printing ABS in the same room as you and on a carpet is wild. Stay safe.
@@thecamarokid4230 that was just temporary it's in it's own room on a table now thankfully
Which folding filament holder is that?
I suggest you use sherpa mini it has same internals but is better balanced with most printers. (Sherpa micro is designed to be better balanced with crossgantry printers like the annex k3)
Logan, the abs-cf does not need to be dry? I can see that you're not using a dry box for It
It does to a certain extent need to be dried but from my understanding this is not the ABS but the carbon fiber itself. I don't need a dry box for this filament because it's glass fiber ABS and as far as I know fiberglass doesn't absorb any water
This is one hella nice build~ Contemplating one now along with kitties lol
i would like to do something similar for my ender 5 pro now that i know that it is posible
brother that is a deadly unit, well done
That is a nice looking machine. Really tempted to build a small, reliable machine for quick prints myself. That bento mini must be pretty good if you are printing indoors with ABS. I need to get around to adding The Filter to my garage machine. Thanks for sharing.
I love those slowmotion shots 😮
I love these swift vorons.. Are they as expensive as they look?
@@ReinaldoGonzalezreix2x The nice thing about Vorons is that they're what you make them for the most part. I'd say mine is on the higher end of what people do with the V0 and I have less than 1k in it. You could easily cut what I have in it in half and get 95% of the features and probably 100% the performance
@@loganluckless372 i have like 4 years into 3D printing, but i don't know if i have the knowledge to tackle one of these projects, mostly firmware is my concern
Kitties!
Get a beacon3d sensor and you'll never have a not perfect first layer again.. And it's much faster with the bed level procedure
Tbh it's been a little weird for me. The mesh doesn't seem to work great at the edges of the bed. I need to spend some time figuring it out
@@loganluckless372 did you override ratos loading the ratos mesh profile to default? That what fixed it for me. It saved the mesh as "default" but loaded a ratos mesh.
@@user-zi8mj2hl9e I'll have to give that a try I haven't thought about that, thanks!
@@loganluckless372 oh and check your x and y offsets. You don't want it to correct the Z for the wrong offset
It is reall running nice and smooth. What for steppers do you use?
They're ldo super powers running at 48v. IMO they're amazing
Very nice. What is the temperature inside? I plan to do the same but I worry a little bit about oberheating of the hemera.
I couldnt find 450 mm mgn12 rails, there is a 470mm rail listed on my country,so the question is can i use 470mm rails instead of 450mm rails? Can you help me out?
I am not sure but you'd be much better off going to the Zero G discord and talking to the creators because IDK. Just look up zero g mercury 1 and on the welcome page there's a link to the discord
good video, what hotend do you mount?
It's a Phaetus dragon high flow voron edition with the Mellow NF crazy volcano adapter and a 0.4mm volcano bondtech cht nozzle. I push 80mm^3 when I'm messing around no problem I would highly recommend it.
I switched from the Dragon HF to the Rapido 2 plus and it's flawless
Nice 3D printer
Great last name. Me too! Well, Williams but, should be Luckless! Thanks for sharing! Sub’d!!! Got a Sovol SV05 a couple weeks ago, black Friday deal, 279! Found the Mercury One upgrade a coupple days ago and I’m STOKED! Next printer? Voron but? Now I can go there with this, before then!!! (ok, ok, I’ll calm down, not quite “there” but, on the way!!!).
Using separate sensors for Z offset and bed mapping is the way to go. I used this on one of my printers ua-cam.com/video/waXIr_ytukw/v-deo.html
Excellent. Is the piezo probe under-bed or on the hotend?
It's a precision piezo Orion usually used for nozzle probing attached to the metal pin off the back of the bed. There's a couple disadvantages of the sensors but using them as offset sensors is pretty perfect for them
I am planning on using the Hemera Bowden with the BTT Filament Detector as well, would you be willing to share the files for the mounting plate? Also, is the printhead you're using EVA 2.4.2 with dual 5015 fans?
Sure thing I'd be more than happy to. Are you in the ZeroG discord? I can post whatever files needed in the m1_1 ext channel shortly
@@loganluckless372 Yes I am in the discord! That would be awesome :)
@@scarcat2469 uploaded to m1_1_ext gave you a bunch of formats to work with. I waterjet the plate out of 1/4" aluminum. my dual 5015 was a custom solution combining the available dual and the cable support. I'll see if I can dig that file up and post it as well
@@loganluckless372 I saw in the discord, Thank you!
Pretty epic, if I do say so myself
Thanks Logan
More laptops need to be like this, so glad I pre-ordered a Framework which should be on its way next month!
Although if this happens to me I'll weild hammer But having this as a purchasable part is great. You made a good investment
This new tech is really a gift for every young kid with engineering curiosity, they can learn and execute a lot of knowledge with this much modification freedom.
How long does it take to complete the conversion? I run RepRap on my Pro 3D V-King 400 and also use Web Control but use Octoprint on the Ender 5 Plus machines I have, although I am thinking of converting them to RepRap as I prefer it over Marlin.
The hardware conversation was like an afternoon of work. Doing the btt reprap firmware stuff took probably a week to get nailed down of on and off work. I'm the type of person that doesn't really ever finish a project so it's constantly being improved. Right now I'm adding piezoelectric tool length offset calibration and a vcore 3 type bed.à If you're already using a raspberry pi you should give klipper a shot. It's a controversial opinion but I think they're about the same in my eyes.
Holy shit! The new mac tonight book pro?
Framework Laptop, not Macbook. Macbooks can not be repaired by end users.
@@YourCitizen Um, no. You can tell by the fruit on the lid.
Or the description
maybe I'm missing a joke or something, what's this have to do with a macbook?
@@mynamesnotimportant6941 The commenter, Femboy Su, thinks that this is a MB Pro when it's a Framework
This is insane, this should be the rule not the exception in the laptop market, well done framework!!!!
What kindve speed and or quality increases is this setup achieving compared to stock?
I can do about 120mm per sec with no loss in quality. There's a couple more little things I have to do to get it really moving like input shaper but I'm pretty happy with where it is. A good portion of the stuff is QOL like revo and the duet web control.
@@loganluckless372 that’s solid
it would help if you explained on what you are doing cause it would help alot more
Is that a noctua fan in your print head 😱 Did you modified and made this
Sure is. Every fan on the printer are noctuas except the part cooling fans which are maglev sunons. The kit is the Zero G Mercury One. It's an open source kit with a lot of great talent behind it. I have another video posted a week ago going over in more detail. It's a great machine.
… did this used to be an ender 5 plus? And did you convert it to a coreXY setup?? Fucking based dude, I’m sure you know but this is awesome
have you made the modifications your self, ore is it a thingiverse kit?
It's the Zero G Mercury One kit. Fabreeko has ready made kits available. They're also working on a 3 point kinematic bed like the vcore 3 called the Hydra.
This a great video keep up the good work
How often do you do this?
Happy Wheels not very often blood worms are a rare treat for them, usually reserved for whenever guests come over and want to feed them
Nice! Do you pull the eggs or let them do it? New Sub!
ScownTown Aquatics I pulled this spawn its the pairs first spawn and I always like to keep their first spawns. In the future I would like to have them raising up the fry. Thanks for the sub!
