Welcome the much-awaited all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan
- The much awaited new Himalayan has arrived.
- Development began in 2017 for the all new motorcycle
- The new Sherpa 450 engine gets liquid cooling, 4-valves DOHC and all aluminium barrel construction
⁃ Sherpa motor weighs 10kg less than the LS410
⁃ air intake relocated under the fuel tank to aid the down-draft intake system
⁃ All new 6-speed gearbox
A series of new developments on the new Himalayan
⁃ all new liquid cooled DOHC 4-valve Sherpa 450 engine
⁃ Ride by wire
⁃ Downdraft style intake system
⁃ Engine acts as a stressed member
⁃ Ride Modes: Performance & Economy

- Chassis and weight balance is best in its class.
- Refined, lighter and toruey motor.
- Useable torque and power delivery from low rev-range.
- Adjustable seat height between 825-845mm.
- Significantly shorter turning radius.
- +10mm higher ground clearance than before equalling to 230mm.
- Overall kerb weight is 3kgs lighter than before.
- Switchable ABS Mode makes life easy on Offroad.
- C-type Charging port on the handlebar.
Downsides:👎🏽
⁃ Tyre performance is limited on road use but works great on Offroad.
⁃ The all-new Tripper navigation system works seamlessly but demands the phone screen to be running all the time. Bummer.
⁃ Thumb joystick operation is too delicate especially with the gloves on.
⁃ Pass switch position is iffy and will need to getting used to.
