Why did they drink the drink they dug up ?
They dug a hole and buried a full bottle of bourbon upside down at the ceremony site a few weeks prior to the wedding. Doing this is supposed to ward off rain on the wedding day. After the ceremony, the idea is to dig up the bottle of bourbon and share with your guests.
