God I feel like the GameCube was nintendos competitive peak, not just for melee, but this game too. When you look at GX, you see the plethora of ways there are to play, with the different machines, custom machines, race tracks, hell even the different ways to turn. I love the GameCube. Such a shame it failed.

There should also be categories for each vehicle, they each change the game’s mechanics substantially.

There should be a lot more categories for F-Zero GX times on fzerocentral. For example, glitch-less, side attack-less, no shift boosts, etc.. There are very few categories for a game with so many glitches. That online tournament of F-Zero GX even had limitations- no shift boosts and maybe even others I’m not aware of.

These are banned for most competitions now as I understand it.
