Just had my first full day of using a crown reach at a liquor distribution center today. Was placing half stacked pallets on the top tacks at about 43 to 44 feet high and God damn was I tense. Never driven one before and they had me doing putaway, gonna take a while but I have faith I'll become a master.

Ive been driving one of these for 5 years and im the lead of a paper shipping warehouse and we use the stand up, cherrypickers and sit down forklifts and whenever i have had to train anyone on the machines they are intimidated by this one in particular but i always tell them all it takes is practice and know your speed dont try to go 100mph right off the bat and they become fun to drive.
Muy bien solo mejorar no dar el golpeteo del reach y la parrilla y algunos detalles pero mientras no hay personal nos vale queso la maniobra que hagamos jajajaja buen video saludos
Good driver, I work with 9 ft wide isles, and only have about 1" of clearance, n could prolly run circles round u bud lol...hats off tho 4 sho! #crownreachtrucks4life
The newer Crown models have a sort of cushioning system to the platforms that is really easy on the feet. You are essentially walking on air. Its slot better than having to walk on concrete all day. Standing all day is what humans were designed to do. It's the sitting all day that is actually bad for the body. But yeah your feet are tired when you get home like they should be, and you rest and they heal right up!
Jon M haha your totally right. Ive just finished a 13 hour shift at our warehouse. Feet and body aching. I drive reach trucks and counterbalance but never been in a stand up one. The crowns look really nice
Wow your reach has like no gowdge scratches and looks to be in good working order. We had got a new reach for a couple days and it already has scratches and gowdged through the paint. Even in tight aisles theres no excuse.
You have enough room to use a counterbalance between those racks. Most warehouses are much tighter which is why they use reachlifts. If a person can walk behind you when your lift is facing the rack and all the way forward than that is more than enough room.
You must only be talking about short wheelbase 1.2t counter balance forklifts. The good thing about these is that theyre warehouse friendly so you wont fill the place up with fumes all day.
I'm not a fan of the Crown's (IMO) half-ass backwards steering system.Their platform trucks (the older models at least) I have no problem with.I am a wizard on a forklift (20 year operator) but these things and the stand-up pallet trucks throw me for a loop.I have to qualify on one for my new company so I guess this old dog better learn some new tricks, lol.
I need more experience with the crown reach truck, their controls are super weird for me and feel lager when driven compared to the Raymound equipment in general. I live raymond in general just because of the color red yes ik lol but i think crown has the better order picker machine's cherry picker.
It’s the side shift that’s a little tricky ans some of them are older so you have to hold the shifter trigger for a couple good seconds longer or it’ll extend instead of side shift
I love the people that hate on this dude 😂 Like just upload a video of yourself then, like he did. And we can compare. I wanna be as good as this dude one day! Today was my first day of training. Most difficult thing ever.
yea but on the crown the battery's are bad only a 5 hour rating full use you tend to change over reach trucks half way through a shift or do a battery change
It all depends on preference I guess. The crowns at work are good but I don't like having to raise the entire handle to raise the forks. I miss driving Raymond's with just a lever button to raise and lower them. So much easier and less likely to make a mistake like that.
Looks hard but not impossible people gotta get over the fact that no one is perfect, people learn bi making mistakes & improving their skill makes them who they are and where they are right now. 🙏
Jay Alva it was easy in this warehouse to put away pallets. At Petco distribution the reach operators didn't have much to work with either. Especially with the pallets that have dog food bags hanging over the edge of the pallet plus overstacked. So many ripped bags just trying to fit it in the slot. I was only a picker there and they only had Raymonds too. Never been on one before. Props to the reach crew that work there. They kicked ass.
Jay Alva depends on what store, the newer stores yes, but I work in an older store with shitty clearance & hanging lights that are way to close to racking. Stores like that are a piece of cake to drive in.
I like Crown, they're very durable and dependable, only two things i dont like is they are very power hungry ( i had to swap a battery every 3-4 hours), and the controls are slightly delayed. But they're fast, user friendly, and their "quick pick" system on their walkies is awesome. Their newer AC powered picker trucks haul ass. 7.8 mph which believe me is very fast in a warehouse!
Erik Carrera Congratulations I got mine last week on a crown and was certified today using a clamp on a crown. It's not as tuff as it seems. I'm also using it going in 3 deep which can get pretty challenging at times. 7 racks high and 4 deep will definitely get the blood pumping lol. Good luck 👍😀
Surprisingly for me, it's significantly easier to remember lining up in a reach to do the 90 degrees than on either a dock truck or sitdown... I could raise up/go in diagonally then turn it in, but I'd rather do it right just in case I ever deal with a load way too heavy to steer with...
I work at a target dc. have for my whole working life. been told I'm the best in the pyramid. meaning all 29 distribution centers. this guy isn't bad at all. try doing it with pallets of freight with loose boxes. not plastic wrapped. I wish I had stable pallets like this. our aisles are about same width but hold different sized pallets. I have the record with 180 puttaways in an hour
R M The most I ever putaway in an 8 hr shift was in the 250 to 260 range. Pallets were double stacked. The dock was also not too far from the racks. I didn't putaway that often. My supervisor would put me to replen most of the time. I loved working at Crossflow Logistics. That was like 12 years ago.
mets23q I believe they all are but that's just from my personal experience. You might be able to get a custom order for one that you can sit in but I'm at the point I'd rather stand. The operator platform is an adjustable floating platform that you pull a lever to adjust the resistance to your preference.
Enrique Arellano I recorded this video for hiring purposes. When I see this I feel like i'm moving slow. When you're on the clock and have everyone asking for a replen then this speed won't due. I also couldn't find any good stand up reach lift videos. Much love to all my warehouse peeps! People who don't get nearly enough respect and pay for the work they do. Peace!
Gotta love all the people who say they can do better lol. The guy is good though for real. And warehouse works definitely don't get enough respect! We bust our asses every day so you can all have your shitty chinese junk!
I drive this all day long, i love it. I picked it up pretty quick and now im the fastes guy at work but iv seen some new guys do some pretty bad shit with these. Lol
Been driving a Raymond lift for about 15 years and now I'm having to switch over to Crown. Starting to get used it and I consider myself a pretty good driver and I must say, this guy is pretty good.
I learned on a Crown and when I changed jobs and got used to the Raymond I couldn't go back to Crown lol. The raise-lower action on the Crowns cause more fatigue IMO when you just use your thumb on the Raymonds.
@@yodambomb4974 Absolutely incorrect, I drove a double deep reach for 3 years and it had a seat...it had a huge mast and was for high-cube buildings but it had a seat

Raymond is way faster saves power I like the fact you can operate it facing out completely with a side accelerator
They ain’t as powerful tho ., they just quicker
I just started driving the reach , and man you put me to shame lol. Give about a month and I’ll have the same movements 👍🏾
this isn't a game, you don't want to screw around on these things or else you'll break stuff or get somebody injured.
Nube too loud lol
I worked many years in the walmart dc. from spring valley ill. in the RSR area of PUT AWAY 40 pallets per hour very easy but i little tired 😓
Hello fellow Walmart employee. I work at the FC in Chino getting certified on standup reach this week.
sab0nes hello my friend, I really wish you greetings
@@sergiocasas1180 I got certified! It's scary putting up cages but really easy putting up pallets.

Anybody can handle a forklift machine but not everybody can handle depal my nigga.
Depal is easy.
just started learning this the other day. I can drive it fine...lining it up to put pallets up is another story though. :/
Red Raider best thing to do is size up your load and stack lane

yea takes time best way is to start is with the lower racks for a while then work your way up higher as you gain more experience
Frodo try and find the pivot point. If you can line that up with the middle of the pallet and then do a full 90degree turn it should line up perfect
I learnt on a BT which are pretty smooth to operate, but crowns are way better. faster too :)
Loblaw
good shit

Russ Furry 180 per hour? u sure about that?
180 per night is probably what he wanted 2 say
O shit. Thats good. I think i only hit 150 or so in a night. 8 hours. Maybe 200 on 12 hours.
