I remenber this spot at Faiths Pen, I use to stop here regular but I now used the highway, the last time I stop may be about 20 years ago, going to Dover Raceway it was a must stop for me to get food, in the morning about 8am I stop to ɓuy food and the vendor served me overnight food ackee amd saltfish which I didn't happy about, sometimes no saltfish in the ackee, but it was a favourite stop for me, but overnight they were getting so expensive, I will always remember this place, during holidays nowhere to park inside so you can imagine the crown, it was a spot we all love, I am very happy for you to showcase this so great work, I am looking for more of this. Crystals Bakery in Ewarton, was also a favourite spot as well and the pork jerk spot located in front bauxite entrance very good jerk, good job sir.

This is part of change, hopefully for the best, but it was something to look forward to in the days before the highway bypassed the location.

I think they price their selves out business too they had some ridiculous out of control prices, honestly so speaking.

Glad it’s closed. The vendors were all getting out of hand , with their prices and , to make matters worse, most of the food were not fresh anymore. This is always what happens with most Jamaicans, “want to be rich overnight “ , so we start to become unscrupulous in our business dealings.

I stopped here last year. Only 2 stalls were opened. Food was absolutely delicious as it’s always been. Breaks my heart that this once hot spot has come to this though. This was the bread and butter for many.

The freeway/ bypass has its good and bad. This is one of them.😎

I used to love stopping by Faiths Pen back in the day. So sad they not operating again😔

The winding hilly roadway going around Ewarton, MT Rosser, and Bog Walks Gorge made motorists and passengers alike so hungry. Then, most was forced to make a stop at Faith's Pen to eat and stretch their legs. With the highway taking you to and from Kingston to St Ann, in record time, there is no need to stop and eat and stretch legs because one would be reaching their destination before hunger and leg cramps starts to sink in. Faith's Pen will be no more, as well as other old-time things in Jamaica, when development gets even more advanced.

Faiths Pen rest stop was not up to par after a couple years. They were not cooking to please their customers. People started drifting away due to the bad tasting food. They can always blame the highway...they caused it on themselves.

Unfortunately, it seems like Jamaican's have falling into eating at places like Burger King and Domino's Pizza. I was grew up and live in Canada, and trust me, it doesn't even cross my mind to go into those places and eat that mass production stuff.

I think this place should serve as an example of what happens to vendors when they refuse to focus on quality. Faiths Pen was going under long before the highway opened, so let’s not place the blame solely on the lack of traffic, if you will. Does anyone remember when Boston Jerk Center was the premier jerk spot in Jamaica? Can we say that’s the case now? Furthermore, there are far too many vendors selling the same food vs the amount of patronage.

They never painted nor improved from the time it was built. The food stalls were dirty and customer service nonexistent. The food had become mediocre and they all served the same thing. Look how far likkle Ochi deh, han dem pack up. They just didn't care. People have many more options. Just as rundown and ramshackle as its ever been.

Happy for the people who are doing business in this area the Government has a duty to provide proper market to sell their produce there are more than quarter of a million people in the Communitys I believe there quarter are paying taxes there. fore it's needs a market to accommodate all these people I would like to mention this as well because in most cases there are behind with lots of things in order for the Community to move forward they need a Hospital why do people paying taxes and bearly benefitin LORD please help JAMAICA
