Nice lights. I use mydmx too
This is so awesome
Your music is ridiculously loud. I turned off the video after 20 seconds. How do you expect anyone to be able to focus on what youre saying when you're blasting music louder than you're talking?
@@loganwinkelman5475 you’re right, all of the videos on your page are done so well! We should all model our videos after Logan!!
What was the cost/SqFt and monthly rent from the property?
$100sqft for me to build. It rents for $1300/month on each side
does that the app only work for chauvet spot lights/movers?
Can you share details on plan and pricing on duplex?
U have no lights. Only those 2 lites for the evening? I guess every dj has their styl n view on things. I have 10diff lites to change scenery on dance styl
What trussing is this that it doesn't have the bracing?
Link in the video description!!
Very nice build! My wife and I are looking into to building a duplex on a lot we just purchased.
Hey bro. How do you make your moving heads move opposite directions?
Looks really good. What state is the House?
Indiana
It’s possible to wireless dmx?
I run them wireless DMX with donner dmx system
Hey, does My DMX Go have the Intimidator Spot 110 listed as a compatible device? I'm tempted to get My DMX Go for them soon. I just have them run on auto for now, but they're not so synchronised to music so I hope the software could be a great solution...
Good video… Not saying your setup is ideal but it’s a start and you’ve got plenty of comments with recommendations for improvement. This helps me on my planning. Nice trussing. I have Global Truss that are 6’5” but they are a chore with transport.
Yea, this video was 2 years ago and have changed a few things
Are they rented? How is it going. Nice job.
Yes
If Price were not an issue, would you choose these over the 360 X models?
Honestly, I don’t think it would matter too much. These are brighter than I ever need them to be
Bryce thanks for the info. I am assuming you had experience Djing before you bought the equipment right? I have never done djing but I can't see myself getting good enough in a couple of months to do an event.
I had 0 experience before buying the equipment. I started with my website and booked my first gig before I bought anything
That’s not how you fix a hole in sheet rock bruh
It is when you’re a landlord
Your dj controller is dope as shit. I need one of...See more
Bro...your 260s look WAY more professional, I see you're using a simple control app for lighting called Light Rider. THAT'S PROFESSIONAL!
Bro not having stuff DMXed doesn't look professional in videos...LOL
I’m not too worried about how it looks in videos. Main concern is how the lights perform for the dance floor. With this it still feels like a party. 15 mins of less set up tear down too.
BIG MISTAKE not using your 260s!
my opinion I really do not like the gig bars the bottom row A++ the top row of lights hate them !! I hate there derby style of lights
I’m with you on that! Would like to replace them with a wash light
Your facade is backwards! The Velcro side faces you
Where did you get the design for this? How much was the land, permits, and total build? How much does it rent for now?
I designed it myself with a certified planner. $100/sqft to build. A unit rents for $1200
@@SoireeSounds really good numbers, say $220k to build, and $2400/mo rent, well beyond the "1% rule". Awesome property man, keep it up. Do you mind if I ask what location? Would love to get into something like this myself. I have good credit and some savings, but stuff in my area is just .. expensive. I'd have to find somewhere nearby that's cheaper, to invest, I think.
How much did it cost you
Sent you and email! Great content!
You need to mic up
Location/Builder/Cost?
👍
Nice review
You have nice equipment and doing a great job setting up, but maybe next time using a lapel mic would be better. I could hardly hear you at times.
Just a tip. (Most) Speaker stands are designed to have the legs opened until the cross support is parallel with the floor. When they are not opened all the way, the weight is transferred to the cross brace instead of the legs which is designed to handle the weight. After a while the metal can fatigue near the connection point to the leg, and fail. If this failure happens. Your liability insurance will not cover any damages if this happens. I suggest you check your stands user manual for the proper operation of your stands. Keep up the videos. DJs helping DJs improve is how we reach the next level. (note: I just noticed @Larry Lesniewski already mentioned this, but didn't explain why)
Around how much is a fair price to charge with this kind of setup
I might of missed it. But I highly recommend using both outputs from your mixer. Most songs are in stereo, a different left and right signal. Unless you are running Serato in mono, that for some setups comes in handy.
With my flx 10 I don't use no mixers, I plug mic right into it and run speakers out of mixer to each speaker xlr. The flx 10 eliminated the mixers. Even the mic has its own talk over button or on and off on mixer. Do you do any booth speakers? Great info my friend!
Speaker stands should be opened to the point that the cross members run parallel to the ground surface for best support,.
Thanks for the tip!
How much for the land and the duplexes and what bank funds ?
Great job!
How much was the build out with out the expense of the land?
Congratulations it’s beautiful
I plan do the same thing and yes must have a garage. Great job and thanks for the video and congratulations 🎉
I really like and enjoy the project. I brought 1 acre and half for my 2 duplexes
Which stand are you using fro your backdrops
On stage stands
Wow that’s awesome. I’m also engaged and I’m glad to see another newly wed couple being able to do this. Congrats man. May I ask, how long did this take you? And how much did it cost? And did you ever need to borrow money from anyone? Thank you.
Took around 6 months. You got a DJ for your wedding?!? Email me for the duplex pricing details: bryce.lains4f@gmail.com
@@SoireeSoundswhere are you located!?
What area are you in? What's your cost per sqft in 2022? I've got about a half acre I'd like to put a simple duplex like this on. Do you mind sharing the floor plan or where you got it from?
Email me! bryce.lains4f@gmail.com
@@SoireeSounds hey man what’s your email
u did a good job but u could have build without a garage to have more space .tell me how much did the project cost
Gotta have a garage.
If you start to do larger gigs I would suggest getting a person to help you with the lights control, equipment setup and teardown. Take your 260’s and put them in the back on very tall speaker stands. Get larger Chauvet movers preferably the 355z or something that has a “motorized zoom” and focus, put them in the front next to the booth, then you can spotlight all 4 corners. Pick up at least 2 Chauvet Wash FX Hex. These are can be adjusted for “warm white” so flesh tones look more natural and less “corpse” like for the first dance and video and can double as an incredible dance Party light. These are extremely bright and I DMX them down to less than 20% in most scenes. Uplights are a must in most venues otherwise most will look like a hospital. (except the rustic ones with candle string lights)and can add a great party show later in the night. If you want more advanced DMX control I use Luminair 4 on an iPad and it makes that DMX go crap look like a baby toy and is organized more like a true lighting console.
terrible set up
What do you recommend?
@@SoireeSounds its to small set up for this big hall. minimum 2.2 pa system, and 4 movings heads showtec phahtom 65 or 100. maybe u can use this set up for small gig till 50 person and small room.
@@anar5990 I would agree that the lights probably aren’t enough for this big of a hall. I think my next lights will be wash lights however
