A Hybrid 50/50 Approach to Teaching Greek
This presentation was based in part on the research paper "Applying the Study of Linguistics to Create a Balanced Approach for Teaching Koine Greek," which I presented at the Andrews Research Conference 2023 celebrated at the campus of Andrews University. This is a recording of my presentation at the Applied Linguistics and Biblical Languages section of the Evangelical Theological Society - 2024 in San Diego, California. The title of my paper was "Lessons Learned from the Implementation of a 'Hybrid' Approach: Greek."

High School students use the Active Reading Method for learning Koine Greek. In this language teaching practice, students actively read, ask, and answer questions in Koine Greek. This method has been developed based on Applied Linguistics Theories (Second Language Acquisition).

I teach Biblical Greek and I find this song very useful to tech and practice the accusative case: χαρὰν, εἰρήνην, καί ἀγάπην, but we could add some others like πιστήν (faith), χάριν (grace), ἰσχύν (strength) and many others.
