This and Castrovalva were the two stories chosen for the Viewmaster 3d slides back in the day. Good choice as both were visually sumptuous and the slides are the best 3d outside reality. Plus this outing (by child author Andrew Smith-now a high ranking police officer) was not so very different from its near namesake, "The Full Circle", which was an episode of Space 1999! Perhaps now, he can investigate himself for plagurism.

I imagine if Roger Delgado, had been alive when Blakes 7 started he would no doubt have been in B7 as a villain.

Found it! I have never watched a lot of Dr Who, but what stuck in my memory was a bit where a monster hand comes under a door a grabs someone’s leg. Had to work it out by finding out the monster first - the marsh men.

This is extremely adult for 60s Who - in the context of the story it works, but only a few stories after the juvenilia of the Chase it is quite shocking

I was lucky enough to watch the full 18 season before the internet gave all the hints away Season 18 was Baker's best season There has never been a better Doctor and Romana was the strongest female companion in terms of abilities. Why can't new Who have a companion like her?

I had completely forgotten how absolutely adorable Lalla Ward was. She was one of my favorite companions. The way her a Tom Baker just gelled together on screen was just amazing. Like two best friends out on some weekend adventure.
