I'm determined to work on getting into that position. I just need to get some idea of what area I want to make that step into. I'm glad you found what you did, by just moving with what happened at the time. I'm hoping that this is the case for me but I don't want to leave everything up to chance. @Viking-Surfer I'm pretty much claiming this as where I would place things. I'd say if you are riding the rail, performing turns and general manoeuvres, then you're on intermediate level. See, for me, I think anything up to that is still beginner. If you're trimming and going straight or even down the line without paying any attention to where you are in regards to the most powerful part of the wave. Also, I think to some degree, if you haven't advanced to a hardboard and then chosen to ride a foamy (for giggles), you still really haven't stepped into the real world of surfing. I like this idea of the advanced beginner 💯🤙 I'm claiming I'm semi beginner 🤣🤙
