It's closer than before Tbh the thing for me is if you look at enough cards a lot of the formatting starts reading the same and you can more easily whittle it from there Kind of glad shorts can be up to 3 minutes soon since I can probably better show that thought process in these videos

I'm just not as big of a fan on the beholder lair and it doesn't intereet me as much (tho that can be said for like 90% of drops nowadays) I was a little off and didn't realize foil delay & stifle were as much as they are so the reprints are appreciated, but it just feels like a meh lair to me

Wouldn't blame you - I only thought of it as the 2nd best just bc it could have done more to be a "start a karlach edh deck with JUST THIS LAIR" but it's definitely not a bad lair

Yeah the 2s focus isn't a bad route to go, I just don't think it has as much inherent resilience Definitely has explosivity with the new "give 2s astral" and holy potion, but I prefer more consistency/recursion

@@JMarGameDesign I was playing around with royal potion before set 5 trying to use Caladrius/Scarecrow with Librarian Saga to create infinite attacks - now that set 5 is out, I don't think royal potion or the astral spell are worth it - casino and game of destruction creates some really cool lines - getting to surprise trade with a thing, and sometimes also kill another thing is pretty big, and detective Pentan gets game back too
