The problem with Solidsteel is the top plate is just to small for large Monitor speakers. Only 6- 5/16. The speakers have way to much overhang. Making me worry about stability. If they had an option for a larger top plate, I would buy them but no go.

Will this be able to drive JBL L100 Classic decently? ...in an approx. 11'x23' room (half of a 2-car garage space). L100 is conservatively rated at 90db sensitivity (3rd parties measured it to be more 92-93db sensitivity; similar to Klipsch Heritage's 3rd-party measurements of 94-95db [Klipsch is opposite, very ambitious & non-conservative 99db ratings]) Also L100 is 4ohm impedance. Anyone running L100 with this? Would love to hear your experiences.

You have the incredibly low friction bearing and high inertia platter, but then you control its speed with an inconsistent, and elastic, belt.

I’ve had the low noise feet for a few years under my DC Carbon. They’re still there!

At $18,000, with arm, it's just another super overpriced table which can be equaled by tables costing FAR, FAR, FAR less. However, listen to the sappy music, get your favorite Credit card and go into deep, deep debt. And yet, there are so many VERY overpriced tables now days. It has become PATHETIC !!!

James Henriot should be credited more and is an absolutely genius. His phonostage equipment is better than any high-end hi-fi equipment on the world market. It extracts the full detail from your vinyl cart and transforms you "into the music" instead the music punching you head-on through your speakers. Also the nicest bloke in the hi-fi industry hands down. 10/10

This video is for the Woodpecker not the Volare! I goofed wondering why the platter looks different from the aluminum Volare! I like the gold weights better on this one! Is that available on the Volare? Haven't seen it as an option. What is the difference between the 2 platters? Thank you, larry

Nobody does it quite like Wharfedale, no wonder they have been at the forefront of loudspeaker design for so long. I have the 12.4 floorstanders, they are ridiculous value for money, but be warned, they are big, and heavy and this is probably the achilles heal of the 12.4. The spiked stands are woefully innadequate for such a large speaker, I hope wharfedale address this issue, dont get me wrong, if you never move your speakers, then the spiked supports should be adequate but I would be very careful moving them.

Love the stands, they're probably the only part of my system I'll never replace! Just don't understand why they have optional spike discs but won't sell them in either a 3 or 6 pack - very annoying.
