A Multispecies Weekend in Lake County
nice content, keep it up I want to see more videos from you man 🙂🙂
I’ll keep em coming!
Great content 🤙🏾 can’t wait for the flows to get below 300 fps. Does this usually happen towards the end of September? Haven’t fished Putah since 2014. Excited to see what’s different besides catch & release.
No Idea. I've only fished there the one time.
That's my home lake I just subscribed it's a tough fishing lake
It seems that way. What’s your biggest out there
@@kennyjoecrane6050 I got a two pound four oz small mouth from shore with a brown trout color jerkbait I'm gonna post the cast to catch soon
nice
Listen, I enjoyed every moment... Champion
If this is oc then wow I didn’t know that fishing had such weird baits (is that the right word?) also this was cool to see so I hope you keep it up
Baits can get real weird if you look hard enough.
Why did god have to make molten lead look so tasty?😢
I like to sip a little bit of the poured lead as a treat.
What kind of wood do you use
Tree
Basswood
Nice
That’s an awesome lure and nice fish too
I have been wanting to fish Putah creek for a while now, looks fun! Great video, good luck!
What colors did you use? Greetings from Chile.🇨🇱
Currently I use the base color set of createx airbrush paints and mix my own custom colors. It can be time consuming but it gives me more control. and its cheap.
make a piku piku next
Nice job 👌👏
Steelhead hunting on the once famous Russian river watershed, lead guitar on the fender, a Jaguar I believe, fly casting, we reckon you are an enthusiast who seeks challenge..we know what's next....golf!
you should shinner glide bait
i would love to see u make a lure under 1 inch
I’ll see what I can do
@@kennyjoecrane6050 sounds good
Nice job 😀👌👏
Always a pleasure to hear from you
@4:15, you’re at a place I know. Do you walk freely there or have you been told anything about fishing there. There’s no “no fishing” signs but lots of other signs. Just curios if you have ever been told anything.
No nobody has ever talked to me about not being aloud to fish there. I’ve been many times
@@kennyjoecrane6050 awesome man thank you! Was that at the side with the park? We were at the opposite side this morning by the vineyard.
this is my favorite type of fishing. Good job!
Glad to hear it! I'd like to do more.
That’s awesome never caught a fish on any fly I ever tied
would you sell one?
Absolutely, if you're interested you can dm me on instagram or through my etsy store.
nice
do a strawberry for chip
Honestly I would like to do a tribute for him, but I would be afraid that a video like that might come off as disrespectful or like I was trying to boost myself using his passing. I feel for Nate as I know how it feels to lose a best friend. Rest in peace Chip.
Was the action better before adding the lip or am i craxy

just found your channel. loving the content. great baits
Glad to hear it!
In Oregon, a fish needs to be 20 inches or better to consider it a steelhead. Smaller than that are termed "half pounders". They are not mature fish, and do not spawn. Lots of them on the Klamath and Rogue Rivers. They can be very aggressive at times.
First, learn the water where they rest. I never bother with "frog water". Laminar flow is very important, flowing at approximately a fast walking speed and about 3-6 feet deep. Remember, the speed of the water near the bottom will be a little slower due to friction. Second, learn the proper presentation associated with the technique you are trying. Just casting and cranking typically doesn't work for steelhead. Swinging flies and lures works way better than casting and cranking without a pattern. Also, those fish you saw under your boat were most likely NOT steelhead. They can detect you before you float over the top of them, unless the water visibility is down. Probably suckers, especially in the slow water. Lastly, becoming a proficient steelheader can take many seasons.
Absolutely stunning fish. Like many others stated handling them like is a big nono and thats too much time out of the water.. imagine it like this.. you just finished running a marathon and someone dunks your head under water. Thats essentially whats happening. Beautiful fish tho man congrats thats 1 for the books. And sorry not trying to give u a bunch of negative feedback on such a positive experience but another good practice for trout is wetting your hands before handling as to not mess up their protective slime coat. Anyway well done and i bet that made u high on life for atleast an hour or 2 😁
Get your damn hands out of its mouth!!!! Its not a freaking bass and you will break its bones!!!!
Your video randomly popped up in my algorithim and im glad it did. I used to fish the Russian river quite a bit up until I moved a few years ago... I miss that river dearly! Also, nice work on the swimbait! Your attention to detail in the paint is spot-on. If you ever need someone to test your baits out and have some fun with them on the channel I frequently fish for pretty much all species in Minnesota and this specific swimbait you made would work like a freakin' charm! Anywho, keep up the good work and congrats on the NICE bag of bass!
It’s funny, I watched your videos on the river when I was trying to figure out how to target the bass here. I never thought you’d see my videos!
@@kennyjoecrane6050absolutely awesome! Funny how the world works sometimes, eh!? 😂
Im in the area, what pond/lake was this ? I just bought a new ultralight setup and i’m looking to get on some pan fish !
lake at the top of Trione Annadel
what plastic did you use for the tail?
If you're looking to get more into soft plastics, I've seen UA-cam videos that show how to use a plastic, meat injector syringe to inject plastic into a homemade mold.
Your process doesn't have to be the same as everyone else's. I am here to see how you do it, so learning about your process, whatever it is, is why I'm here. And I am enjoying this series! Dude, always film every step of your process, regardless of the anticipated outcome. Your editing software can always omit anything you don't want to include, but it can never add anything you didn't record. Very nice lure Kenny! I really like swimbaits and glidebaits.
I’ll do my best to include every detail during my filming process. I really appreciate all of your feedback!
It be cool to see you try and make some soft plastics
Where do you get the fin template?
You can get them on Amazon, they’re whitmore farms airbrush lure stencils.
great job! would love to see more on making the flexible tail!
I’ll make sure to add that in the next video
Nice job 👌👏
Beautiful lure and video. The underwater eat shot is fantastic 💥👌🔥
I just wish it could've been one of my lures in that shot
I'm more interested about facts on how to make the lure, than on trivia about what the lure is supposed to represent. However, a reference photo is nice. Great job of matching the hatch.
ok cool. I'll keep that in mind.
Love the underwater camera work. Fun to see you catch the fish from below. Gm
Love the paint design on this lure. Gm
I've fished that lake a few times in my float tube. Pretty sure ive seen your posts on fishbrain
You probably have.
Do you think moving the line tie further back on the bait might make it wobble more on the retrieve?
It might, ya.
Cool bait
Thanks! I think I know how to make a better version so that may happen at some point.
Amazing! Gm
Gotta get into bfs my friend
damn bruh those pliers are so rusty hahah.
yeah my shop isn't insulated so my tools are kinda open to the elements.
