Please excuse me. On the family oriented aspect, you guys need to live with the real British, they will NEVER take their parent to the care home at old age. If they do, all the children will be exchanging visits on a daily basis. English people have a golden heart hence you hear them telling you "I am expecting...." moreover, there is no witches coming to taking the foetus away. Also, we say thank you as a courtesy appreciating someone after providing service. Siblings take their younger ones to school and pick them up in the UK especially when the eldest is 14 years and above. Bottom line is that you need to live in the UK and amidst the real and genuine English for long time to know much about the English model life. Living in the UK less than 10 years is not enough to discuss who the English people are. Many people you care for at the hospital might be on benefits, you need to meet with the English who are professionals in different fields. "Your hair is beautiful" because we don't put people down here, we appreciate every little thing people. English culture is very rich. IVF is free in the UK before age 40 else, you go private and they plant only "one egg" hence you see some couples coming for IVF in Nigeria.
