😍 was lucky to see Tull at their first and last shows in Calgary AB CA. Ian Anderson inspired me to take up the flute .

I saw "these guys" back in the heyday. Aging myself. Barlow Barrymore was on drums. It actually was the Thick as a Brick tour. They reduced it down to 20 minutes and played all the others. It was awesome. I was with a girl I loved and she loved me, too. A concert I'll never forget. Arrowhead in Kansas City. Maybe Ian remembers? Probably not. Those were his stadium days.

This isn't really Tull, more Ian's solo band. That said, I really like this tune. One of the better songs Ian has written in recent years and one of best written songs about the Atomic Bomb next to Rush's song Manhattan Project. Once I dug into the lyrics and realized the meaning of the song, it was that much better.

What's with the bad note at 6:18? I've heard it on these recordings several times at different venues and there is no way he's messing it up every time. If it's intentional, I don't get it.

During the 70s my music listening was dominated by Hawkwind. Great to see that the magic is still there. I am grateful how the captain was steering the spaceship through 5 decades.

Oh dear. I think it is past time that Ian Anderson stopped doing live performances. His voice is clearly not up to it anymore.

Sad that Ian's voice is gone, but man, can he play that flute. I give him many kudos for still being out there at the age of 86. 👍 ❤
