Unfortunately they aren't available to buy, they came on the sport premium models here in the UK, known as the XS Kit. Some people.breaking cars for parts will sell them, unfortunately I don't have a direct shop I can point you towards to buy.

That's awesome not a lot of the XS kits out there...mine is the 2.5 and currently I'm getting 17.4 mpg

First of all thank you for subscribing and your comments, it's always great to hear or see someone restore their X Type rather than scrap it. I might have to organise a little meet with some of my more local subscribers and put a video together if you would be interested?

@@rkphotography557 Yes would be interested. I work in Hightown near Liverpool. The car would have been scrapped many times over but I am stubborn and try to do all my own repairs big or small. I plan to get another car for work this year and preserve the x type. It's aged well, the retro look didn't strike me back in the early 2000's but now looks great compared to all the angular EVs etc. Cheers 😀

In Southport, that's awesome, if you ever want some photography or video im happy to do it, especially on another black X Type. The 3 litre is definitely the one to have. I think I'm on 144K The grills swap straight over it's just 4 10mm screws.

I'm not sure they were slightly wide though so needed out refurbing my original wheels but I did love those.

I got a set of leaper stickers which were meant to go on my brake calipers after a refurb, I wanted a metallic Cadbury purple, but I had to get driveshafts so the refurb got put on hold. The leaper is facing the wrong way as a nod to my first X Type, it had the leaper on the bonnet but it was fitted backwards by a previous owner.

Personally I love the leaper, this car didn't have one but I have a brand new in chrome all though I'd like it finished in black, then i will get it fitted. It's known as the XS kit it came with some Sport models of the X Type, front and rear bumper with side skirts.

There is an awesome guy here in the UK who builds these incredible lights and ships Worldwide, depending where you are based he can build for left and right hand drive cars. An awesome guy here in the UK builds a few different versions of these headlights, based on what you want, I have the quad RGB halos. He's UK based and a solo builder but ships Worldwide to Europe, the States even has lights in Japan. I will.lonk his Facebook page below. facebook.com/XLytes

The only ones I know that are available are on cars that people own or if they end up getting scrapped, then breakers will sell them but there is no main seller unfortunately. I know of a few people trying to get the XS Kit but are buying the available parts as and when they can find them. One guy currently has the front bumper and one side skirt and it's trying to source the rest where he can find them. Sorry I can't send you directly to a seller.

Yesterday I did 😂 the underglow should be fine as long as you can't see the light strips directly only the glow and technically it has to be white or yellow showing at the front of the car...but in the 4 years I have had them I have never been pulled by the police even when set to purple for example I do avoid using red and blue though when driving. Parked up though it's 100% fine to have any colour or pattern 🙂

See we can all get along 😂 in my newest X type as this was my old one, I had an RS5 pull along side on the Motorway and want to play, my current sport looks abit more like the part but still a heavy 2.5, not sure what he thought I had under the hood but it wasn't close, as you will know. We had a play about, he took easy, it was fun though. I make car videos, I'd like to shoot an RS6

@@bro20019 it's 200BHP slow off the line but she can do 140mph AWD keeps her planted nicely, not to bad for an old man's car as they say.
