What engine does this aircraft have?
Paul your coking plant video is where? I couldn't comment on that clip so I thought I would ask here. Cheers Andy
Regarding your video called "Coke Making. The end of a coke plant life.", I think you meant to write "Coal" instead of "Coke" 🙂 Coke is something different from coal
Makes me so happy to see this still fully operational.
The lady in brown at 1:22 is absolutely stunning! 😍
I've seen some of these still in use. Some of them have been fitted with turbines. The sound just isn't the same.
They are two very 'grumpy' engines. That said, nice one!. Nuff said.
Beautiful. Thanks, Yorkshire.
Still the greatest aircraft ever made......yes this one is a bit tired but what a fabulous sound.....
Who would seriously volunteer to fly in this plane 😅
Me.
Smooth running
Please....2 cs in BuCCaneer engine Run
I remember them well flying through our area, a wonderful sight then! The thought of how much it would take to put one back in the air, though...
What weapon did they carry
Looks like a Lewis gun to me.
Lewis on the top wing. One Vickers fixed forward.
OMG, a variant of the Dove. I flew several from 1970-71/72 in the US and the Caribbean. What version of the RR Gipsy Queen engine did the military version have? Have many remembrances of the Dove. with leaking pneumatics (brakes, flaps, master valves, and snapped quill shafts to the air pumps). Not even mentioning the oil that drooled from the engines at times. . Still a fun airplane to fly. Thank you so much for the moments.
Was that normal, for the right engine to spew flames from the exhaust? I love radial engines.
Yes, if it's flooded badly.....
I heard a Cheetah run at the South Australian Aviation Museum. It sounded very smooth and refined.
