I agree with you. We don’t need to see sex or even nudity to imply romance or intimacy. I believe that is a lazy way to show intimacy or perhaps perversity to toward women or men. I notice movies have become more intense with showing that. We can be creative and not going down that road.

People do a lot of things in life that we show in movies. People now use the toilet in movies, it's something that usually was not portrayed but now is. It humanizes them. I think more than anything people want to watch something that feels familiar or even a dramatic fantasy. These things sometimes include sex which is a vulnerable thing to see if you're more conservative.

The problem is not sex, the problem is the bad delevoping that guionists create
