2023 Moto Guzzi V7 Special Edition
Updated video, shows the following: wheel pinstripes, dual Hella horns, tri-color paint on the valve covers, custom seat cover on solo seat, Euro taillight, tinted windscreen. Also revved it a bit at the end, so the Agostini mufflers can be heard.

Took my '23 V7 Special Edition on a leisurely ride on May 12th. Bike has Agostini reverse cone mufflers with the dB killers removed, airbox lid elimination kit, and an UPMAP tune. Still pops a little under deceleration, might tinker with some airbox hoses and see if that helps.

My 2007 BMW K1200S with a mid-length slip-on muffler I got off Amazon. It has a 51mm inlet, had to get it opened up by 2mm to fit, only cost $5 at a local muffler shop (took the muffler and mid-pipe to make sure the muffler fit once they were done). Also removed the dB killer. Fast-forward to the 6:00 and 9:40 marks to hear me revving it out, best to listen on headphones. I'm still figuring out...

Last bit added was a T100 seat, more comfortable than OEM, helps take the edge off the OEM suspension. Short ...

Short road test, black Charger pulls out in front of me at the 4:20 mark. Bike has shortened Termis and a ventilated dry clutch cover, so it's noisy. Camera mounted on the helmet, external mike is inside my helmet, still figuring out what works best.

Recent video on a short ride, still experimenting with the action camera and external mike. Pay close attention to what happens at the 11:00 mark, almost got taken out by a Porsche. Points of interest are at the :45, 7:40, and 10:30 marks. Bike has GPR mufflers and a Booster Plug, which made it run much smoother at lower rpms and off idle, pulls strong all the way to the rev limiter.

Mid-length muffler I installed on my '07 K1200S. Took it to a muffler shop for them to flare the inlet to slip over the mid-pipe, only needed 2-3mm, cost $5 for them to do that. Got the muffler off Amazon for under $50. It has a perforated tube with packing, so not too much sound-deadening material.

2007 K1200S with a shorty Akropovic replica muffler I got off eBay for $50, with the dB killer removed. Had to take it to a muffler shop to get the inlet opened up (by about 3 mm), so it would slip over the OEM mid-pipe outlet, only cost $5 to get that done. Easily mounted in place of the Leo Vince SBK full-size cf muffler that was on the bike when I bought it. Still figuring out this action ca...

Sound clip of an eBay Akropovic knockoff on my bike, with the dB killer removed. Cost was $70 including shipping, plus $5 at a muffler shop for them to spread the inlet so it would slip over the mid-pipe (54mm?). Reused the spring from the full-size Leo Vince cf muffler it replaced, had to stretch it a little more to fit this short muffler. Just wanted a different look and sound for now...

I have an 03 also and love it. Best factory seat on any bike I've ever owned. The ride is comfy without giving anything up in the twisties when cornering. When I got it my biggest concern was could I do a 10-12 hour day on it like I can on my 1200RT. My first day big day out with it was over 10 hours. So ya it's a long day ride bike for me.
Hard To start ?
Takes a bit if it's been sitting for a few weeks. I usually have a battery tender on it, but lost power in my storage unit. So I got out there once a week and start the bikes, let them get up to operating temperature before turning them off.
very cool muffler solution,
One of my all-time favorite bikes. Very nice exhaust system, how did you fashion it?
Sorry for the late reply. The exhaust came on the bike when I bought it. The video shows the header wrap on the single pipe coming out of the collector, and the "plug" on the left side. Someone said they think the muffler is for a Tuono, but I'm not all that familiar with Aprilias so I have no way of knowing for sure. It sounds good, and the exit under the seat is unique, at least for an adventure bike like this.
@@bronzestarvue Awesome. Thank you for the reply.

1998 Triumph Tiger with Magnaflow mufflers. Had a muffler shop cut off the stock mufflers, then weld on these Magnaflows with a cut-down 2.5" angled tip. The Magnaflows are satin stainless (not polished), 2.25" inlet/outlet, with 2.5" bore. Turn-down tips are 2.5". Magnaflows were $145 for the pair, tips were $20 for the pair, FMF clamps were $30 for the pair, and labor at the muffler shop was $40. I had to figure out a bracket to put between the FMF clamp and the stock mounting point on the rear subframe, and found that a bracket from a u-bolt was perfect. It's slotted at both ends, so I was able to adjust it to make it fit. The u-bolt brackets were $5 for two.
Forgot to mention, the microphone is a small hole right next to the lens, and I had a piece of clear tape covering it while this was being filmed. Would never know it from how loud it is, may have to experiment with other things to cover that microphone hole, like a small dab of RTV, or small piece of duct tape, or...

The VT500C Shadow is much more common, cheap, and a much better candidate for a bobber.
What's that smoke coming from your engine, it sounds great though! I've got an 1988 shadow with jetted with cobra exhausts but I like the way yours sounds! My shadow is old but damn she still runs great! That's Honda for ya. Fuck Harley! Fuk paying all that money for the name and the sound! And wen a Harley breaks down, and they do break down, you better be prepared to dip into that savings account really deep

Just about anything's possible, if you throw enough money at it, lol! I did a Google search on "1984 Honda Ascot VT500 bobber", and there was only a couple of pics that were of bobbers, so it looks like it could be done. Might be more of a project than it's worth, because you'd have to rake the front end or put on longer forks, lower the rear, put on forward foot controls, redo the seat and tail section, bars, tank, etc. But if you have the patience, imagination, and funds, why not?!
get a stage 3 jet kit
Can you get out on the street and ride away from the cam? Everybody does the stationary rev- up thing and that ain't a good idea of how the bike sounds when you are riding.
Wicked sound duder! WHere can I get a set? lol How does the performance of the bike respond?
@fahqdowns You're welcome...I liked riding my Shadow, it was pretty comfortable, and had a nice ride. As for your Harley friends, ask them this: "If Harley made an airplane, would they fly in it?" The obvious answer is hell no, it'd never make it off the ground, but sure would look good sitting there, lol! And like they say, 95 percent of all Harleys are still on the road, and the other 5 percent actually made it back home!
@bronzestarvue I appreciate all the great info. My harley friends talked me into buying a bike. They gave me alot of sh!t when i rolled up on my shadow but after a summer of modifying i seem to get more compliments on my bike then they do. Thankyou for the cool idea. The new mean sound will be the cherry on top.
@AntaresReborn This is a Thrush all-welded muffler, I think 2.25" inlet/outlet. Go to Summit Racing, do a search for "Thrush welded mufflers", and they should pop up. You can get a tip like that as well thru Summit.
Which Thrush is on there? I have a 2001 Saturn SC1.
Fahqdowns: yes, I got the bike rejetted. I don't have the bike anymore, so I can't tell you what the new jet sizes are. But if you do this mod, expect to change the stock jetting on the carbs.
Fahqdowns: I also had two mounting brackets made up. I had a small bolt welded on the front part of the lower muffler, that attaches with a bracket to the stock location. Then I had two small bolts welded to the rear portion of both mufflers, with a bracket that connects the two. So they're mounted pretty solidly. If you look where the rear wheel axle, you can just make out a black bracket that goes between the two mufflers.
@fahqdowns: I'm pretty sure they're 2" inlet and outlet. Like I mentioned, if I had to do it over again, I would've used a 20" for the top, and a 24" for the bottom, and slash cut tips that are 2 1/4" in diameter. I had to get some small adapter pipes made up to go from the down pipes to the inlets of the glasspacks, but a local muffler shop took care of those. The adapter pipes are hidden under the heat shields, so it looks pretty clean.
@bronzestarvue Thats the greatest thing i've seen done to a shadow. So badass i gotta do it to my vt 1100 now. Did you have to install a jet kit? What size inlet are the packs? Any info would be alot of help and thankyou for the great idea
@okmotherfucker - Yup, just a muffler swap, even reused the stock tips. And it's a MTX...sold the car a few months ago, only had 65K miles on it or something...but at least the guy I sold it to knows what the Taurus SHO is all about, so it's in good hands (he's a Mustang guy too).

@johnjsil - Thanks! Turned out about what I was expecting, and not having to rejet the carbs is a big plus. I spent about $45 on this mod ($35 for the end cap from Pro Circuit, $10 for the muffler shop to use a plasma cutter to cut the center section, and less than $1 for three new sheet metal screws and washers). Best of all, here in So Cal, the more it looks stock, the less I'll draw the attention of 5-0. I still need to find a stock muffler, just in case I want to put it back to stock.
Sounds pretty good , i like.
still pretty sweet
I think they're 24" glasspacks I bought from Summit Racing, then had a muffler shop do some connectors under the head shields, and weld the slash cut tips. If I had to do it over again, I would've gotten a 20" glasspack for the top, and 24" glasspack for the bottom, so it's not staggered so much, and 1/4" larger diameter tips.
baddest ive everheard i would love to know where ya got them
