to travel from Chandratal to Manali is what enjoyed most of all. very long route around 120km but the route is passing through glacier . upto Batal is normal hill area but then u are surrounded by glaciers. and about 60 km is like no men's land. only one place Chhatru , where u get tea. hardly any locality there just 8-10 people. Still the travel through this route was most memorable ans mesmer...

Chandratal lake is a place , we can visit only during June - September. rest of the time is covered with snow, roads leading to lake are closed. that's the place we must visit during Spiti Tour. #travel #mountains #spitivalley

The highlight of Spiti Valley tour is Kaza & Chandratal. the road travel from kaza to chandratal is so worth waiting 8 months , as the route is open only about 4 months being snow covered. if you want to witness the beauty of this region , travel between June - September.
