Hi Chris, thanks for your video. I have an LG DLEX3700V dryer that's giving me the error code TE1. I looked it up online and found that it might be a bad thermistor. I ordered a new one (model 6323EL2001B) and replaced it. I measured the resistance of the old one, which was about 8K ohms, and the new one reads around 10.8K ohms. From what I found online, the normal range should be around 11K ohms, so I think the new thermistor is fine. I also tested the round thermal fuse you mentioned in your video, and it reads 0.04 ohms, which seems normal. I took apart the vent and cleaned everything, inside and out. There’s no dust or blockage near the two sensors. After reassembling everything, I double-checked all the connections to make sure they're tight. I also measured the resistance at the yellow and blue wires leading into the control board, and it shows around 10K ohms, which means the connection to the board should be fine. Once I put everything back together, I reset the dryer by holding the start button for five seconds while it was unplugged. But when I powered it back on, it ran for a few seconds and then showed the TE1 error again. I tried restarting it a few times, but the TE1 error keeps coming up. Do you think this could be a control board issue? The board is pretty expensive, so I don’t want to buy one without being sure. Could you help me figure out how to use a multimeter to test the board and what kind of readings I should be looking for to determine if the board is bad? Thanks for your time, and I really appreciate any help you can offer!

I know this is an older video -- my mom has a in door Kenmore 79579783901 that the water dispenser works, but the ice maker doesn't. Is it safe to say the inlet valve assembly is fine if the water dispenser still works? I thought it was a dual valve assembly, but from what I can tell looking -- its a single so to me, that would tell me the valve assembly is fine and its something else.

What make was this ice maker ? Yoyr video is to the point. Thanks for taking the time fore others.🙏

Thank you for the video. I fixed this exact issue yesterday on my Samsung front loaded that went 5 years without an issue and then started leaking in the drum. This fixed the issue.

So my ignitor lights up but I get no flame. I do get gas to the top of my stove so it shouldn't be a gas problem. Can your ignitor glow but still be bad?

What does it mean when water comes into the ice maker, but just keeps running. The ice maker is on, i hear the arm moving but no ice is being made. I turner the water off and ice was made with water that was left in the icemaker. Hope I explained this enough for a response. Thanks!

I’m doing HVAC training. Week 1 completed and I just realized that HVAC uses electricity, fans, and motors in a similar way to washers and dryers. I always thought that learning how to repair appliances was out of reach for me and that the demand for such a business is always high. I see old appliances at thrift stores all the time. Sometimes nice fans or washers and dryers that look decent but may have one small component that needs to be replaced. If I could figure out how to repair a $2 fan and sell it for $10. I’d make a small profit and I’d feel good about providing a good deal. If I was wealthy, I think it would be fun to do it as a community service. But better if I could give jobs and job training to people who need money. Now I’m finally starting to live the dream of my life. I always thought that Men who could repair things are actual SUPERHEROES in real life. Now I’m a mature adult and I feel that appliance repair business is within reach this year. I just relocated my stove from a narrow counter space by myself so I can clean the kitchen. I’ve always been strong enough to move heavy stuff using leverage. That’s how I know that this is for me. Thank you for sharing your training course. I’ll be saving my money and I’d like to join in about six months

This was very helpful to see. That circuit board can be fixed and reused again. You tube has some videos on how to replace the burnt out transistors and such. I fixed my Frigidaire dryer today but my control board was all sealed up and could not see inside. I have to crack it open to see what went wrong. Surge protectors are very useful to have. Thank you, Chris. 4:49 - Just look at that dirt in this woman's control board. She probably never cleaned that dryer out. What a fire hazard! If I were you, I would carry a small Shopvac with me. It also functions as a blower to blow out the dryer vent from inside the dryer. All the lint comes out. Vacuum then blow and it is all clean again. Dust is so bad for electronics. Here is how I label the wire harness for my own repairs: 1. Vacuum it CLEAN! 2. Use acrylic paints and paint each wire and its socket with one color. Nail polish also works. 3. After painting, take a few photos. Photos save you major headaches. One small issue and you can waste an hour on it. 4. Disconnect. Reconnecting is easy as you can pair up with colors and use the photos as guides. 5. Make notes and print out photos and store them in a plastic sleeve inside the dryer for any future use. FYI had to GO through, not WENT through. Correct English usage.
