The Tao Te Ching (pronounced Dao De Jing) was a book of wisdom written for kings by a sage named Lao-Tzu, circa 500BC China. Much like the book of Proverbs found in the Biblical canon, the truths found in the Tao Te Ching are universal and timeless. But it's not just the east which was, and still is influenced by this great work. The Tao Te Ching resonates deeply with many of the Christian mystics as well, from antiquity to modern times. The Tao is not a religion. Its literal translation is The Way. A way of seeing, a way of being. In the Chinese translation of the New Testament, when Christ refers to "The Way," their word for it is The Tao. "Ritual and religion is the husk of true faith." These are one of the proverbs found in the book. So regardless of your religious background, or whether you believe in God or not, you will still find wonderful truths about life put into the simplest of words. Truths about leadership, patience, love and creativity. So share this link with those you love. It is a gift to the world, and we are lucky to be living in a time like this where such things can be shared. The world needs healing. The healing begins with the metanoia-the transformation of the mind.

I do not believe that good only exists because there is evil. Good for me was natural as a child, laughter came easy, and learning/actions were pure. Only when i grew to learn from others, adults mainly, whether at home, school, or the media, did i find that "evil." is part of life. I still don't really believe in such, as most often I've come to understand that whats considered "evil" is actually misconstrued due to GUILT, SPITE, ANGER, ACTIONS JUSTIFIED BY REVENGE, EXCUSES(i.e. "part of the job"), OR JUST plain HURT FEELINGS(usually without consideration or effort to understand), or RELIGION/PHILOSOPHY. Humans more than quite often blame their poor(both meanings) decisions on the "DEVIL" and then have the nerve to beg GOD for help. Meanwhile barely thankful for life or RESPECTFUL OF OUR HOME, OUR PROVIDER OF EVERYTHING UNDER THE SKY AND ITS COMPONENTS.💞🌍🙏💯 ☯ to me doesnt pertain to the human character and many have it instilled there as fact. As a reason to justify terrible and criminal actions. I write this keeping in mind that human opinion or ignorant laws are abundant and wrong. Dark and light are cycles that affect the sky/weather, and nothing more. AND definitely not a race to win nothing between peach colored people and ebony skin tone. MELANIN is a natural defense of the body that developes color over time based on proximity to the equator/sun(opinion but a very strong one based a bit of study, effort to be considerate/compassionate, and a lot of COMMON SENSE. If anything it should symbolize whats told, seen, or shared vs. RESPECT of one's PRIVACY. Thanks for sharing💞🌍🙏

IMO: One has to be lonely on the inside. . .to feel loneliness on the outside. But if our soul is like a Reservoir or Running River. . .then we should feel perfectly okay with drinking from OUR OWN streams. . . everyday. Being EMPTY on the inside. . .is never a good thing. So it's all about spending quality time nurturing our SOULS. Wayne W. Dyer is AWESOME!

Why is it that every time I listen to this, I feel like I hear a new verse? Anyone else the same? I’ve listened to it 100x over…. Maybe the verse at the time of hearing it, “for the first time” it can seem, just resonates and is actually heard. Such an amazing piece of poetry, literature, translation. Can’t recommend it enough for listening in aiding healing, self growth and awareness and honestly just a truly easy audible as narrated by one of the wisest teachers to exist. So good. Better actually, brilliant.

I’ve been listening to this more and more. I’ve spent the last two years of my life sacrificing relationships, friendships, health (constant caffeine and adderall) in order to achieve career success. I’ve tripled my income but I am burnt out beyond belief. More and more I find myself fantasizing about leaving it all behind to live a simpler life in nature. It’s a constant nagging feeling that I’ve gone too far down the wrong path. Maybe I just need a break, but maybe I need a big change. Either way this calms me down and reminds me of who and what we really are.
I always find that when we choose consciously to “look at the situation through the eyes of source” that we will soon know which is the right path! Don’t judge yourself for the caffeine use or anything! I would say that if it’s not a “hell yesss!!!” Then it’s a no. Take only inspired action or at least have some enthusiasm or the very least acceptance behind an action bc if you can’t have acceptance behind your actions then it’s not the time to act! Blessings upon you in abundance! 🌺🕊🤍🕊🌺

@@She_Is_Toni in what we can read today Jesus lived by the Dao mostly. But when he says I am the way the truth and the light, he is raising himself up and therefore is not living in accord with the Dao at that moment. Water takes no credit. There are other moments recorded where I would say he was not dao centered, but people want an unchanging force to grasp to, in which the Dao provides none, the Dao is the center of the wheel, hard to grasp and even harder to remain within.
